20 April 2003 - Lazing

Mordred

Mordred nipped at the back of Gwen's neck, lazily content. "So, what do you want to do for Easter?" They were sitting together on a couch in the recreation room. "No one's here...they've all gone out." He laced his hands togtether across her stomach. "Tav and Dem went into town to go to church, and once more, Vort is painting."

Gwen

Gwen lazily stretched her arms in front of her.

"Mmm, anything, as long as I'm with you."

She leaned back into Mordred and sighed contentedly. "We could go for a drive or something..."

Mordred

"Can't. Grounded, remember? I don't know quite how Dem managed to convince the professor to let her and Tav go out to church at all." Mordred sighed in frustration. "Maybe it's cos they took Nyx and Logan with them. Cain is still out there...and at least Spike is still here on guard duty. Vort has the biggest lust after him for some reason..."

Gwen

"It's probably the accent. Spike has a cool accent."

Gwen relaxed again.

"Well, we don't have to go anywhere... I'm quite happy to just stay here all day. As long as I'm with you."

Mordred

"Lovely? Me and Vort both have accents. We spent the best part of three years in London. I don't think it's the accent...I'd put it fown to that sad, despairing look. Vort always wants to heal people...Makes you wonder why he's a Maverick sometimes." Mordred shook his head and leant down to breathe in the scent of her hair. "Maybe we should put a movie on? But somehow, really don't feel like moving..."

Gwen

Gwen shot a spark across the room at the TV and it turned on.

"That's as much as I can do without getting up... oh yeah, I can change channels too. Hopefully I won't break it too much. Eh, I can just fix it later."

Gwen snuggled in closer to Mordred and kissed his cheek softly.

Mordred

"You are very handy indeed..." Mordred turned her head so he could reach her mouth and kissed her. Maybe just a tad more dominant then he had been. "So. What do you know about Spike? No one can seem to tell us the full story, and if Vort manages to fulfill his newest fantasy, I would like to know he wouldn't get so hurt."

Gwen

"Hmm, all Angel would tell me was he was a big bad, then he got a chip in his head, then he got a soul. He has a bit of a tortured past, I guess, but I don't think he'd hurt Vort."

Gwen smiled.

"It's sweet that you worry. You twins are so cute."

Mordred

Mordred decided he liked where he was too much to get annoyed at her calling him cute. "Good to know. Still planning on giving him the 'if you hurt him, swear to Satan I will kill you slowly and painfully' talk if Vortigern ever manages to get up the courage to say anything. Scathach calls it my Pack talk. You hurt Pack, you die. It's all simple really. So...tell me about LA. Haven't managed to get around to seeing more of this country then the ghetto side of NY."

Gwen

"Well... LA... it's sunny most often. Um... lots of baddies and all that, so much like here, in that respect. We should go there one day. I sorta miss it, mostly because I miss my freedom and all my stuff back home. But then again..."

Gwen lightly kissed Mordred's arm.

"If I hadn't come, then I wouldnt have met you."

Mordred

"I'll make sure to come and see you one weekend. Besides, I want to meet the guy whose ass Nyx kicked so spectacularily. Come by the Danger Room someday. Her and Spike act it out. It's funny." Mordred chuckled against the skin of her neck. "But I doubt Angel said anything like, oh no, not the hair, please!"

Gwen

"Angel and the fang gang are alright. They run a tight ship, and they've helped me out a few times."

Gwen sighed. She put her arm out and changed the channel.

"It's a nice day out... we should get up. But... I'm comfy here."

Mordred

"Too much effort," Mordred agreed. "So...anything you want to know about me? Bit of tit for tat, as it were."

Gwen

"Hmm... why New York? Why here out of all places?"

Gwen reached up and played with his hair.

Mordred

"When my father died, my mother married an arsehole. We moved out here becuase he wanted to, and me and Vort didn't want to leave the girls with him and just Mam. We were right in that. He slaps Mam around when we're not there, and once he hit Siobhan. Hasn't done it again though. I sent him into a wall. Knocked him out cold," Mordred recounted with grim satisfaction.

Gwen

Gwen frowned.

"That's terrible. Well, not that you knocked him out. But that he did all that stuff. I'm not... I'm not making too much sense, am I? Basically, what I mean is... I'm sorry you went through that stuff."

Mordred

"Yeah, well, shit happens." Mordred shrugged philosophically. "Happened, is over now. And I got to meet you. I couldn't have spent the rest of my life across the bloody pond. Never would've come to America otherwise." He kissed the back pf her neck.

Gwen

Gwen smiled.

"Well us meeting each other is definitely the best twist of fate yet."

Mordred

"Ohhhh, yeahhh." Mordred looked at the tv screen. "I think I saw this once...it's a Prohibition movie. Got Sean Connery in it." He winced as he remembered what the next bit was. "If you don't like seeing little kids die, I suggest you not watch the next bit." He watched as the gangster threatened the store owner, then left, leaving a black satchel case on the stool where he had been sitting.

Gwen

"Anything you wanna watch is ok by me."

Gwen mischieveously changed the channel to cartoons.

"Of course, we can just flick."

Gwen began to change the channels quickly.

Mordred

Mordred snickered appreciatively. "That is so cool." He watched the flickering, and grinned. "Careful not to overheat the set."

Gwen

"Yeah, that's a good point. I should probably not break the TV. I don't think I'd be very popular with the kiddies."

Gwen shifted her weight slightly.

"Hmm, so when does this punishment get lifted?"

Mordred

"Well, I can use my powers again, which is good. And we cleaned the Jet yesterday, me and Tav, so I don't havta do that. And the floors. I did the most, Tav was worried about breaking a sweat. I can leave the mansion in about three weeks." He shrugged. "We did deserve it, although how we were meant to know it would go that bad...we just wanted to get under his skin a little, you know? Break the mask."

Gwen

"Ahh well, it got a reaction... maybe not the kind you were hoping for though. Besides, how were you meant to know? And anyway, there are plenty of things we can do without leaving the mansion." Gwen winked at him.

Mordred

"Hmm. Sounds like an invitation." Mordred's grin got a bit wider. "Good thing I can use my powers, means we don't havta move." He teleported them to her room, onto her bed. "So, I can be useful too..."

Gwen

"You are very handy about the place, aren't you?"

Gwen grinned wickedly.

Mordred

"Yeah..." His voice was a rumbling purr. "So. We take this up where we left off?"

Gwen

Gwen lightly nipped his neck.

"Yeah..."

She started to undo his pants.

Mordred

Mordred cuddled Gwen to his chest and closed his eyes. "Well, if I didn't feel like moving before, I really don't feel like moving now." He felt lazy and satisfied, like a big cat. "You smell good." He buried his nose in her hair and breathed deeply, closing his eyes.

Gwen

"Mmm, what a good way to spend Easter. Like bunnies."

Gwen nuzzled her head into his chest and closed her eyes in contentment.
