20 April 2003 - Easter Sunday.

Theresa and Ducky

It was Easter morning, and people were doing all sorts of things. Spike and Dawn had gone to Smallville to spend Easter with the Kents. Tina had gone back into the city the night before to spend the holiday with her family. Kitty had gone hom on the 17tt, for Passover, and had not yet returned. The Yoders were going to the Mennonite church, and staying in town all day, and St. John had gone along with them. Scott and Jean were visiting Jean's parents, and Kurt had graciously agreed to teleport the Alvarezes to Bogotá to visit their mother's grave. Theresa felt so left behind. Her father was unable to get away from work long enough to spend Easter with her, and she missed both him and Ireland so much some times. She was sitting in the library, moping, when Ducky and Warren came in.

"Don't look so sad, little one," Ducky said. "You're coming with me." Theresa looked surprised, but she followed Ducky anyway. Ducky directed her to put on her nicest dress, as she and Warren were already dressed up, and then they led her outside. Theresa's mouth dropped open as she saw Warren's limo sitting there.

"Your chariot awaits, milady," he opened the door for them, and they hopped in.

"Where are we going?" Theresa asked.

"Traditional first," Warren replied, and they drove to St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan for mass. The guesture brought tears to Theresa's eyes, because it made her feel so close to her father. After mass, Warren smiled at the girls.

"Okay, now the fun part," he said, and had the limo driver take them to Tavern on the Green, one of the fanciest, most expensive restaurants in New York. By the end of the day, Theresa hcould barely hold back her tears any longer.

"Ye two are so wonderful, why did ye do this for me?"

"Well," Warren replied, "other than the fact that your a wonderful, beautiful girl who should not be alone on Easter, a certain Banshee called me last night, and asked me to make sure his little girl had a good Easter." Warren smiled, and then pulled out his cell phone and dialed several numbers. "Don't you want to wish him the same?" he asked. Delighted, Theresa took the phone.

"Da'?"

"Theresa? How's your Easter?"

"Oh Da', this makes it just perfect," And Theresa carried on a very animated conversation with her father before Warren's driver took them back the mansion.

"Thank ye so much!" Theresa said, hugging them both, before she retired to her bedroom for the night.

"Warren, that was so sweet," Ducky said, smiling. "If you keeps doing such wonderful things like that, I'm going to have no choice but to fall in love with you."

"That sounds just fine to me," Warren replied. "Because I fell in love with you that first moment I saw you in the pond in Central Park, and I decided then that I would never let you go." Ducky blushed and kissed him.
