Taylor
Taylor awoke to a splitting headache.
As soon as he realized what was happening, he cringed grabbing his ears as he rolled over and fell from the bed to the floor.
He cried out for a moment squeezing his eyes shut as he tried to block it out. Trying to take a deep breath, he backed off into a corner of the room and held his head.
There was a high pitched ringing in his ears, as well as a massive pain in his head. Eventually, he could only cry out.
Isaac
Isaac woke up. He was sure he heard something. He sleepily got up and walked to Taylor's door. He knocked
"Tay?" he called, opening the door.
Taylor was curled up in a corner of his room. Isaac hurried over.
"Tay?" he asked. "What's wrong?"
Taylor
Taylor rocked back and forth just willing the pain away.
"Da... dam... it, hurted," he whimpered, tapping his head with his hands.
Then he cringed again. Why had he said it like that?
"It hurt... Ike, help... wrong."
He shook his head.
Isaac
Isaac frowned.
"You... you have a headache?" he asked.
This was... odd...
Taylor
Taylor nodded as best he could, putting his hands behind his head and his head between his knees.
"God, why... talk, can't..."
He shook his head again, tears forming on his eyes as his knuckles went white. It just hurt so much.
Isaac
"Do you... do you want me to get you a headache tablet?" Isaac asked.
Isaac was very concerned. Whatever it was, it was effecting Taylor very badly.
Taylor
Taylor nodded again, not moving.
The last time he'd felt something this bad was when the Eye was punishing him for something, but he wasn't around and there seemed to be no excuse for this headache.
Isaac
"Okay, I'll be right back," Isaac informed him.
Isaac ran quickly out of the room and down to the kitchen. He ran back, being careful not to spill the glass of water. Arriving back in Taylor's room he gave him the water and the two tablets.
Taylor
Taylor quickly took the glass and swallowed the tablets with the water.
Forgetting about it for a moment, he dropped the glass to the floor, spilling the remainder of water.
"Go away... go away..." he pleaded with his eyes closed.
Isaac
Isaac watched in anticipation, but a few minutes later there appeared to be no subsidance for the headache.
"Do... do you think it might be... telepathic? I mean, it's an awful coinicidence that we just came back from dealing with a telepath..."
Taylor
Taylor only just managed to hear what his brother said.
"Ye... yes. Think, no..." he shook his head, "said, damage... told Ike."
He mentally cursed himself. He didn't know how much longer he could take the pain.
Isaac
Okay, something was defintely wrong here.
"Okay, Tay? I'm umm... you just stay there, okay? I'm going to get Mom and Dad. There's something wrong here."
Isaac good up and hurried to their parents bedroon and knocked on the door.
"Mom? Dad?" he called.
Walker and Taylor
Walker and Diana sat up in bed.
"Something's wrong," Diana stated the obvious as Walker got out.
He went to the door and followed Isaac back to Taylor's room.
"Taylor?!" he exclaimed, rushing over to him and kneeling down.
Taylor leant back suddenly hitting his head against the wall. The pain was subsiding.
"Oh God..."
"Tay? Come on boy, say something."
Taylor gulped opening his eyes.
"It hurt," he cringed, "going, going. Pain going away."
Walker glanced at Isaac.
"What's happening?"
Isaac
Isaac shook his head.
"I don't know. He cried out before and I found him little better than this. I have him a couple of headache tablets, but they didn't seem to work."
He hesitated then went on.
"Could it be something telepathic?"
Walker and Taylor
"If it's lasted like this it's more than likely."
Walker put a hand on his son's forehead. His temperature was normal.
"Ok. Taylor? Tay? Can you tell me where it hurts? Whereabouts does it hurt?"
Taylor closed his eyes for a moment and put his hand to his head.
"Inside," he tapped it, "but... no hurt but more. Pain, pain gone now."
Walker cringed hearing his son talk worse than Zoe.
"Ok Taylor, don't speak for a while, ok? We'll see if we can contact a healer or telepath to come and have a look at you."
Taylor's eyes widened hearing 'telepath'.
"No no no no no..." he began, sitting up.
"It's alright Taylor," Walker assured, pushing him back as he stood up, "we'll get Tanya or another agent."
With that, he helped his son from the ground.
"Ike? See if we've woken anyone else up. Don't let anyone else see him like this."
He helped Taylor to his bed and helped him lay down again.
Isaac
Isaac nodded and with a last, worried look at Taylor, reluctantly left the room.
This was not good. Defintely not good.
Walker and Taylor
Walker sat by the bed holding his son's hand as he shook uncontrollably.
"Come on Taylor, hold on," he insisted
"Am," came the soft reply.
Walker cringed, putting a hand on Taylor's forehead again.
"I'll contact Tanya as soon as this is over, ok?"
Suddenly, Taylor shot up into a sitting position.
"DAD?!"
"WHAT? Tay? Taylor? What?!"
Taylor turned to his father, tears in his eyes.
"Oh my God..."
He leant down and hugged him as hard as he could.
"It's over."
Walker sighed with relief.
"Are you going to be ok?"
Taylor nodded.
"Ok. I'm going to call Tanya."
Walker eyed Flavian and Meena as he stood. Flavian was watching worriedly as Meena lay still in the bed. Walker smiled a little before nodding to Taylor, and leaving the room.
"Isaac?" he called.
Isaac
Isaac heard his name called and poked his head out into the hallway.
"Yeah Dad?" he asked.
Walker
"See if you can call Tanya and get her over here," he said quietly, "you can let the kids see Taylor if you stopped anyone. He's ok now."
He sighed.
"And I still haven't told him about Meena. I'll have to wait for the right time."
Isaac
Isaac nodded.
"Okay, no problem."
He made his way to the nearest phone and dialed the number he had for Tanya. He got an answering machine:
"Hi, you have reached Master Tanya's answering machine. I won't be answering any calls until the 17th of April. If it can wait until then, please leave your name and number and I'll get back to you, alternatively, if it'sa secuirty matter, please contact Wayne. If a telepathic matter, please contact Vicky."
Isaac jotted down Vicky's number, hung up, and then rang Vicky.
"Hello?"
"Hi, I'm Isaac - Isaac Hanson. I was refered to you from Tanya's answering machine?"
"Oh, yes, what can I do for you?"
"Well, my brother Taylor was recently kidnapped, and he managed to escape the other day, and he got home yesterday. But now he has - or had some weird headache that we think might be telepathy related - his captor was a telepath."
"I see. Can I have your address and phone number? I have a few other places to visit first, but I'll get there as soon as I can."
Isaac gave her the particulars, and she assured him that she would get there before the day was out.
