Jean
Jean Grey was sitting in the library, quietly trying to read, but her thoughts were dwlling on the EPT sitting in her and Scott's bathroom. Two lines. She was pregnant. And according to her calculations, about 2 or 3 months along. She knew Scott would be thrilled, but she herself wasn't sure. She wanted so desparately to have children with him, but was it the right time? She barely even noticed when Logan and Spike walked silently into the room.
Logan
Logan saw Jean, and heard her heartbeat, and then he heard *another* heartbeat. He frowned. By the look on Spike's face, he heard it as well and was similarily spooked. They started to silently search the library. Cain had escaped, and no one knew where he was, so all the security concious people were very jumpy. They stood up when they couldn't find anything.
"Dunno mate, can't smell whoever it is." Spike looked frustrated.
"But there's definitly a heartbeat in here, bub." Logan's claws slid out. "And we can't see or smell them."
"Oh, bloody hell. Mutant?"
"I was gonna ask you if it could be demon?"
"Dunno, mate."
Jean
Jean blushed. Damn, she forgot about that, they could hear heartbeats.
"Um, well, it's me."
Logan
They both looked at her, and then they both got these evil grins.
"You're preggers then?"
"When are you going to tell Scott? What are you going to tell Scott?" Logan asked gleefully.
"You should've known, pet, that either one of us would catch it, sooner or later. Pregnant women just get this glow. More blood, you see."
"Somehow, I don't think Jean wants to hear about it."
Jean and Scott
Jean felt herself blush even more.
"I...I just found out today. I'm trying to figure out how to tell Scott." Meanwhile, Scott was walking up behind Jean.
"Tell Scott what?" he asked innocently.\
Jean's eyes widened.
Logan
Spike and Logan exchanged glances, and folded their arms, grinning.
"Well, you see, Scott," Logan started.
"There's this thing that happens,"
"To living creatures,"
"And thank Satan for that minor blessing!" Spike said feverently.
"You;re forgetting about Angel and his minor occurence."
"True, but it doesn't usually happen to the dead."
"Anyway...Jean has something to tell you."
"Should we tell 'im instead?"
"No, why should we? We've already freaked him enough."
Jean
"If you two wouldn't mind, I would like to talk to Scott alone please," she said, glaring, and tossing the door open telekinetically.
Logan
"Oh, we don't mind at all, pet." Spike grinned.
"Nup, not at all. I want to see him faint, and the thud wouldn't be anywhere near as amusing." Logan smirked.
Scott and Jean
"Fine," Jean said. "Scott, I'm pregnant." Scott's eyes, though nobody could see, where bulging out of his head. "You're what?"
"Pregnant. About 2 1/2, maybe 3 months, I think. I haven't done a real test yet, just a cheap EPT. Two lines," Jean said smiling.
It took Scott about 30 seconds before it sank it.
"WOO-HOO!" he shouted, picking Jean up and spinning her around. "I love you so much, Baby!" he said, as he covered her with kisses.
Logan
"Damn, he didn't faint." Logan sighed.
"But we can tell you yes, there is definitly a bun in her oven. Extra heartbeat."
