26 March 2003 - practicing with Gwen

Michael

Mikey looked around for the girl the Professor had asked him to meet with. Smiling, he walked up to her.

"Hello, are you Gwen?"

Gwen

Gwen took her gloves off. "Yep, that would be me. I'm guessing you're Mike?"

Michael

"Mikey-boy at your service," he bowed. "Now the Professor said you have a device called LISA, are you wearing it now?"

Gwen

"No, hence the gloves. I can put it on now, if you want?"

Mike

"No, don't. And leave the gloves off." Mike took Gwen's hands in his, and syphoned off some of her electricity into himself.

"Now, do you have any clue what I did there?"

Gwen

Gwen felt a bolt of electricity leave her body. She jolted from the shock.

"Yeah, you took some of my power."

Michael

"What I did was syphon some of your electricity into myself," He then shot it up into the air as a big lightening bolt. "Now, you store electricity inside your body right? What happens when you get upset?"

Gwen

Gwen blasted the tree to the right of them. "That happens. That's not the worst though. I'm not angry or upset enough to do it though. But it can usually encircle what I'm targetting."

Michael

"Okay, so we're going to work on control, and blocking. First of all, I want you to imagine that your powers are controlled by a light switch. Now flick the switch to off. You will not let your emotions controll your power, okay? Tell yourself that." Michael grinned.

Gwen

Gwen shrugged. "Yeah, why not." She envisioned herself turning off her powers, and tried to blast something. "This isn't working. Nothin is making me angry enough to blast anyway."

Michael

"Is it only anger? Or do other emotions set you off, too?"

Gwen

"Anger and sadness probably get the best reactions out of me." Gwen focused on when the men tried to take LISA away from her and remembered her anger and desperation that she felt. She reached over and tried to blast the tree. It worked and the tree looked like it wouldn't withstand another blow. She better learn quickly.

Michael

"You just need to learn to harness your emotions, hun, Instead of letting them get out, think of putting them in a little bubble and pulling them back inside," He grinned, "It's going to take a lot of practice, but you'll get it in time."

Gwen

Gwen took another deep breath and tried again. Only a small spark came out, but never the less, it was enough to push the already beaten tree over. "Um... whoops?"

Michael

Michael laughed. "Well, at least nobody will have to worry abouyt having enough firewood for a while," he smiled at Gwen.
