Mary-Kate opened the door to her balcony and stepped out of her room, breathing in the fresh air and finding herself lost in the sunset.
"Ash, you have to see this, it's so beautiful."
Mary-Kate didn't bother to turn around to see if her sister had joined her. She continued to stare at the different colours that were dancing across the sky. She finally pulled herself away and decided to go back inside.
"Hey, Smoosh, you wanna go out tonight? Or just rent a few vids and whatnot?"
Mary-Kate looked around for her sister, but couldn't find her in their room. She went into the kitchenette just as Ashley stepped out of the bathroom, looking very unhealthy.
"Ash!" Mary-Kate rushed to her sister, who was having trouble standing up.
Ashley looked at Mary-Kate, her eyes unfocused.
"Mary-Kate, I don't think I can... I don't feel so good."
"Here." Mary-Kate half carried, half dragged Ashley to her bed and lay her on top of it. "It's probably just stress or something. Do you want me to call a doctor?"
Ashley shook her head. "No, I think I'm alright. Can you get me a bucket though, in case... you know."
Mary-Kate rushed and found a towel and a bucket. She put the bucket next to Ashley's bed and put the towel next to her head.
"Here, take this." She handed her a glass of water and a pill. "And just go to sleep, sis."
"Thanks." Ashley replied drowsily. She handed the glass back to her sister and lay her head back down onto the pillow. "G'night." She slurred.
Mary-Kate sighed and went into the lounge room and turned on the tv.
