Tanya
Tanya sipped her coffee. Then she spotted someone out of the corner of her eye. Swiftly from much practice, she implanted a bug in his mind and listened to the thoughts within.
Soon she was taking the last sip. She put down her glass, and stood. Although her little friend has left the coffee shop well and truly by now, she knew exactly where he was. He wasn't even close to being out of her range, at which point the bug would fade and dissolve. Few people ever did make it that far with one of her bugs still in place.
Unfortunately, the Spider was one of those few.
"Well, well, you have been a busy boy," Tanya murmered. "I should have known I should have left a bug in your head."
She stepped into her car and started driving towards where her little friend had gone. At the same time she contacted Professor Xavier.
*Proffessor? Okay, I know you can't hear me at this range without Cerebo. I can barely reach you myself. Nonetheless, I thought you should know I found those mutant haters of yours. Tracking one as I speak. I...*
"Rats," Tanya muttered as the connection broke.
*Tanya?* called Prof. Xavier a few minutes later.
*Ahh, Professor! Cerebo?*
*Yes. You were talkign about the mutant haters?*
*Yes. Seems they've been busy little bees with their biological weapons.*
*Indeed.*
*I'm tracking one back to their base now. In fact... I've just pulled up. I'll rough 'em up and put them into 48 hour comas. I have to do some spider hunting, so I can't really do more than that, but -*
*That will be plenty, Tanya. Thank you for you help.*
*Pleasure.*
Tanya gave him the address and directions and the connection was cut. She got out of the car and casually walked inside, telepathic bugs flying through the air, snatching at unsuspecting minds long before anyone even noticed her.
Once she had them all, she shut her eyes. She wasn't in the habit of doing so many at once. She felt her bugs expand through their minds and find the approriate part of their minds to squeeze to put them into a telepathic coma. It had to be squeezed just right. Any less and they could wake up in a few minutes. Any more and they might never wake up. A telepathic coma could be just as bad, if not worse, than a physical coma.
"Ahh!" she gasped, the squeezing done.
She grabbed pen and paper. An additional affect of this was that she could absorb information from them like a sponge. She wrote down all the appropriate passwords for the X-men when they arrived and then went on her way.
It would seem that these people had ties with the Spider. Or rather, one of their people was a spy for the Spider. One who, in fact, recently came out of another coma - one that Rogue had put him in a little over a month ago. Tanya almost fell sorry for him. Two comas in that many month. My, my. Weren't they becoming a habit?
