8 March 2003 - Rogue gets her fuzzle

Rogue

"Excuse me, are you Rogue?" asked a voice.

Rogue turned around and saw a stocky young man.

"Yes, ah am," she answered cuiriously.

"I was asked to give this to you."

He gave her a box and she opened it. Inside was a little red ball of fur.

"A fuzzle?" she breathed.

"Yessire. A female."

"Oooh. Why, she's just all hair, isn't she?"

"She is indeed."

Rogue reached inside and touched the fuzzle with her gloved hand. The fuzzle jumped into her palm.

"Oh, she's so light!"

"She's a ball of fur."

"Good point," Rogue giggled.

The fuzzle started walking up her arm to where she had bare skin. Rogue stiffened with worry for a moment, but when the fuzzle seemed to suffer no ill effect she relaxed.

"Ah think ah'll name her Liberty," Rogue smiled. "Any special instructions for looking after her?"

"All in here," and he gave her an envelope.

"Thank you very much," Rogue said.

"No problem."

And he left.

Theresa and Kitty

Kitty and Theresa were coming up to Rogue's room to see if she wanted to study for History with them and Jubilee. When they got there, they saw Pgue playing with a red ball of fuzz.

"Like, oh my coolness!" Kitty exclaimed, "Is this your fuzzle?"

"I just hope that Lockheed doesn't eat it," Theresa warned, glaring at the dragon that was following them.

Rogue

Rogue looked up at Kitty and Theresa.

"Yes, this is my fuzzle. She arrived today. Ah named her Liberty."

Liberty decided that she simply had to get on Rogue's head and 'swim' around in her hair. Rogue giggled at the tickling sensation.

Kitty and Theresa

Kitty and Theresa laughed at the fuzzle dancing around on the top of Rogue's head. "Can we hold her?" Terry asked trying to ignore the fact that Lockheed was very curiously trying to figure out what the heck Liberty was.

Rogue

Rogue giggled.

"Sure. Just be careful. She's very light, and very soft," she told them.

Theresa and Kitty

Theresa felt the tiny fluffball in her hand, and couldn't believe how light she was. It was like holding a live cottonball.

"Oh my, she's so soft. i mean, yeah, obvious, but still, it amazing how soft she really is. Hi Liberty. I'm Theresa." Terry handed Liberty to Kitty, who had basically the same reaction.

"Like, oh my goodness, she's, like, totally light and soft! Dude, Rogue, she is so cool! You are soo lucky." Kitty heard Lockheedd growl. "Don't worry, baby, wouldn't trade you in for nothing." Kitty handed Liberty back to Rogue & then scooped her dragon up, letting him nuzzle his face against hers.

Rogue

Rogue took back Liberty happily.

"And best of all, I can touch her without killing her. It is so wonderful to be able to touch someone without having to worry."

Rogue gave Liberty a little kiss, and Liberty sat on her nose.

Kitty and Theresa

"I think this is so cool," Kitty said, "Now we all have pets."

"Well technically the Wisps aren't my pets," Theresa pointed out, "They're friends and companions, and they've chosen to stay near me, but I see what you're saying." Theresa giggled. And so the three girls just sat around for a while, giggling about their pets.
