Isaac and Zac
"Don't get me wrong," Isaac was saying to Zac. "I appreciate what they're trying to do, really, I do. But do they have to be here? And why did that girl... what was her name? Willow lock herself in Avery's room?"
"I have no idea," Zac replied. "I guess our parents must have some reason for letting practically perfect strangers in the house like this. I mean, aside from the fact they're trying to help us find Taylor and Avery."
"Well, they're not total strangers. We did meet them at the tournament."
"And everything I know about them has made me one thing. Confused. You know what I mean Ike. We don't know anything about them."
"We should ask Mouse. She seems to be friends with them."
"She's in tight with the cat people. They're the ones who got her a new house, remember?"
"Oh that's right," Isaac sighed. "Sometimes I envy humans. They go around in their world completely ignorant of all this... stuff."
Zac grinned, then he sat back and put his hands behind his head.
"Y'know what? I think all that magic stuff those people have going is really weird. But I bet they think the same thing about us."
"Probably. Kinda comforting that, huh?"
"Yep. Maybe they even know as little about us as we do about them."
Isaac nodded.
"I'm gonna go on thinking that until further notice," he laughed. "And when this is all over, I'm gonna have a party to celebrate Tay and Avie's rescue and demand to get to know them."
"Which brings up an interesting idea. Who will find them first? Them or YIRAAS?"
"They might join forces and find them together."
Zac looked at him.
"Okay, not a chance. Well, I believe YIRAAS told us they have their best operatives on the job. Including Tanya."
"She's a sexy thing huh?"
"You met her?"
"Duh, she was at the tournament. All that leather..."
"Oh, you. Actually, Leroy isn't on the job just yet. Oli said something about him taking a week or so leave on account of some girl they have with them. Tate. Apparently she's a pathic shifter."
"A pathic shifter? What's that?"
"They telepathically and empathically find out what you want them to be, and shapeshift to become that."
"Cool. Did you have to ask too?"
"Yes I did. Must be heck rare."
"Must be."
"So, the sexy Tanya and other YIRAAS agents against... err... these magic people and their mutant friends."
"Takes a thief to catch a thief?"
"True. Of course, the Spider might not be prepared for magic. It may be just as unknown to him as it is to us and catch him off guard."
"That theory has merit. Wait! I have another!"
"Oh yeah?"
"The humans'll find 'em."
Zac raised an eyebrow.
"Well, we have all these crazy human fans right? Well, at this moment they are banding together to comb the world starting with the USA, rock by rock."
Zac laughed.
