Miette
Dressed in black, Miette took her place as her name was called. She was very nervous. There had been three contestants before her, and she had no idea how well they had done - they weren't allowed to watch each other.
"Time starts... now!"
Miette started with her toes. Each toe nail painted itself a different colour. Her skin began to turn into a gradient from red to yellow to blue. Her clothes seemed to swell and dance with streaks, stripes, spots, swirls and stars, in a birazze vortex. But for all it's craziness it looked great. Her fingernails painted themselves, her eyes changed colour.
She was a mass of red, burgandy, magenta, blue, aquamarine, sunset, yellow, gold, peach, indigo, fushia, lime green, forest green, emerald green, yellow-green, sea green, pale pink, pale blue, hot pink, utramarine, turquiose, brown, the list goes on, and on.
And then came her hair. Miette's hair was her own personal triumph, her crowning achievement, as it were.
She started out slowly, from the roots. Colours - even more colours than she had already, if you could believe it, started creeping down each strain of hair.
Then she heard the count down. Twenty seconds to go. She's better finish this off quick.
Miette bent her head over so that all her hair feel across her face, then in one swift movement threw her head back, her hair swooshing throught the air and with those last seconds the last of the colours.
There was applause and Miette didn't even bother to hide her smile. Photographs were taken, the judges conversed and Miette left the stage.
Estrella
Estrella walked out wearing a white bikini, which contrasted beautifully with her blue skin. Should could only change her physical appearance, not her clothing, which is why she was wearing as little as possible. Calming herself down, she pictured a rainbow. Starting at the top of her head, a rinbow pattern spread down her body. Smiling, she spread leaopard spots across her arms, and tiger stripes throughout her hair. She mentally painted giraffe spots on her thighs and knees, and turned her eyes from their normal lavender, to a bright pink. Finally, she turned her nose black, and thought of Enrique's spikes, and put small green dots across her cheeks, like little green freckles. When the buzzer sounded, she was certainly a sight to be seen. She looked almost as if a ranboe exploded at the zoo, but she also looked beautiful and elegant. There was something about her normal skin colour that just added to the whole thing. Concentrating, she returned to her normal colour, and left the stage.
