Priss
Priss sighed and rubbed her eyes tiredly. It was late, and the Potentials had finally settled in. Thank the Eternal Mother for her seemingly endless cash reserves. They had lost basically everything in the closing of the Hellmouth, and finding a place to stay, buying all those nessities of life each girl had insisted she could not live with out, and the things they did actually need...they were lucky she had such patience after dealing with Sabre and Nyx for such a long time. Otherwise they would all be in Russia by now. Or maybe Pylea. Being called a cow could do wonders for one's pride. She sank back into the chair and cradled her hot cup of tea in her hands, sipping it quietly. She sensed a prescence, and looked up again, wearied beyond belief and hoping it would not be one of the girls, or Andrew, or Xander, or any of the young ones. No, it was Giles. A smile blossomed across her face. "I have just boiled the kettle. Would thee like a cup of tea?"
Giles
"Why thank you, Priscilla, I would very much enjoy a cup of tea at the moment." They sat down and beganto gently sip at the cup Priss handed him.
"Priss, we need to rebuild the Council. Now, I've called Wesley, and, well, now that they are in control of Wolfram & Hart, he has the time to help me. I've put out a call to any Watchers, retired or not, who are still alive. Once we've trained some new Watchers, we can send the girls home, to their families, if the Bringers haven't killed them. Priss, I can't watch over 30 girls all by myself. I need help. What am I gonna do?"
Priss
"I wilt stay and help, Rupert. I have already said that thee and the Council, when it is reformed, can call on me for aid in any way. Perhaps..." Priss sipped her tea and thought for a moment. "The question is not one of resources, it is a question of personnel. I wilt send out a call to those who may have a heart to help us in that regard. Mayhap we can send a few girls who wish to stay and fight, or we find have lost thrier families to Angelus? Perhaps he knows some people in the City of Angels who are angels indeed."
Giles
"Perhaps. We do need new Watchers to train. The girls need to be protected, trained, and cared for. A lot of their families have been killed. I'm taking it upon myself to be Amanda's Watcher, but I can't be her Watcher and the Watcher of so many others. IT just doesn't work. Faith no longer needs a Watcher, but Amanda is so young. . . " Giles sighed. "Thank you Priscilla, you have been such a great help during this painful time."
Priss
Priss smiled gently over the rim of her tea cup. "What else be a cat for, except to be a comfort? I much prefer to do this then hunt demons. This has actually been rather relaxing for me, though I must admit the girls have once more put me off being a mother, ever. Perhaps Alexander could be Amanda's Wather? Thee must admit that he is a help, he knows a great deal about demons and Slayers, and I think he would relish having a purpose and a direction. He has struck me as the kind of person who needs to be needed. " Priss closed her eyes for a moment. "He has a great sense of uselessness at times, being around so many with great powers. And he looks up to you, I think. What dost thee think about asking Alexander?"
Giles
"Xander would make a wonderful watcher, as would, thoughb I hate to admit it, Andrew. And Anya, though I'm not sure she'd be willing. I think she wants to open a new magic shop, when we settle down to a permanent location. We'll try and figure it out." Giles smile. The girl was so pretty, and it was hard to believe she was older than he just by looking, but she was milennia his senior. Still, he felt himself slowly becoming attracted to the beautiful cat.
