20 February 2003 - Partying in LA

Michael and Leonardo

Michael Pitt hated LA. It was so plastic and fake, nothing like New York. But he had had to fly there for an interview, and while he was there, his friend Leo had invited him to a party.

"Hey Mikey, Wassup?" Leo slurred. He wasn't really drunk, but he needed to pretend to keep up his image. He couldn't drink the way people ordinarily did at parties, and not even get tipsy. Somebody might get suspicious.

"Leo, I don't care how good an actor you are, you're not fooling anybody."

"Mikey, Mikey, Mikey, come on, everybody else here is too smashed to notice."

"Well, I suppose we could always spike the punch with kerosene."

"Mike, the punch is spiked enough as it is. Haven't you had any yet?"

"Nah, I'm trying to keep a clear head, the last time I drank at a party, as you should remember, I nearly electrocuted the whole building."

"Good point."

"So, did you go to the tournament in OK last weekend?"

"Nah, I couldn't make it. I heard it was pretty great. Except, a lot of magickal folk showed up after that big accident in Sunnydale. Something about demons and Hell and all that, I wasn't paying attention."

"WEll, you should pay better attention," A voice spoke up from behind them. Thery both turned, and jumped.

"Angel, hi. Don't tell me Cordelia had another vision about me?" Leo asked. It was actually a funny story. Nobody at Angel, Inc had believed Cody in the first place when she said she had a vision about Leonardo Dicaprio, but it was true, and he and the Angel, Inc crew had been friends ever since.

"Nope, but she did see a demon attack at your party, she said that somebody here would be able to kill it by electrocuting it? Or something like that."

"That'd be me," Mike said.

"Oh, yeah," Leo interjected. "Michael Pitt, mutant actor, meet Angel, vampire detective."

"Uh, what?" they both said at the same time. They got to talking and laughing, and before long, there were a bunch of screams as a laqrge, pus-covered demon broke through the front window and started attacking young girls.

Michael focused all his energy on the power lines outside. He pulled the electricty into himself, and then threw it at the demon at full force. A few moments later there was nothing left but a few charred remains of Rigula demon.
