18 February 2003 - Kitties break in

Sabre, Nyx and Logan

Sabre and Nyx looked at the high walls of the school, their eyes clearly focusing in the darkness. "Well then. I guess they like their privacy," Sabre commented wryly. Nyx pursed her lips thoughtfully and nodded.

"I'll just hide the bike." Nyx disappeared into the woods and Sabre continued to look the walls over, figuring out a way in. Nyx reappeared at his side. "Give me a leg up."

"Ye reckon?"

"Yeah. Give me a bit of a boost, and I can get in, then bring you in via the magick express." Sabre laced his fingers together as he stood at the base of the wall. Nyx stepped back a bit, then ran at Sabre, placing her foot in his hands as he thrust them upwards, easily clearing the wall in a high arching somersault, duster flapping at her sides. Sabre heard her hit, and thne he appeared on the other side. He ran his hands through his hair a few times, clearing out the sparks of electricity that always seemed to accompany Nyx's magick.

"Well, that was fun." Nyx and Sabre shared a mischievous grin as they set off towards the building in a flow of black leather and denim. Sabre fiddled with the lock on one of the windows, easily disabling it. "We're in, Niss pet." He once more gave her a leg up and she wriggled through the window, and then she helped him in. Sabre whistled softly as he looked around. "Right posh, innit?"

"Uh huh." Nyx ran her hand over a wooden table, and nibbled her bottom lip thoughtfully. "So, where do ya reckon your Rogue is?"

"Well, for one thing, she's not my anything. And second, keep yer voice down, lovely." Sabre inhaled through his flared nostrils, scenting the air. "There's a lot of people here. All asleep, so far as I can gather." And then a light clicked on. Their eyes locked together. "Uh oh."

~*~*~*~

Logan stepped out of his room, and tensed as he caught two unfamilair scents. His claws slipped out and he turned slowly. A man and a woman stood there, staring at him in obvious shock. The woman was wearing a long black coat that went down to her ankles, leather by the smell of it, and tight black pants and a black top. Her long black hair cascaded over her shoulders and her green eyes were fixed on him unwaveringly. The man was slightly taller then she was, wild black hair curling around his neck, and *yellow* eyes? Again, a lot of black in the clothing, except his coat was bulky black bikie style jacket. These people were more or less perfectly dressed for breaking in. Logan attacked with a growl.

~*~*~*~

Sabre and Nyx broke for the walls, allowing the guy in just grey trackpants to run between them. He turned, and slashed at Nyx. She jumped back, and then kicked him in the stomach. Sabre seemed well prepared to just watch. "Sabby!" Nyx hissed in frustration. "Help me, dammit!" Logan turned and slashed at her again. Nyx leapt into the air as Sabre watched coolly.

"I'd give 'im ten points."

"Oh, I am so going to kill you later." Nyx and Logan traded rapid blows, her weaving a lot to stay out of range of his claws. People were starting to wake up, and voices to fill the house. Nyx jumped at Logan, knocking him to the floor and pinning his arms to the ground as she breathed rapidly, hips straddling his. "Damn, you're good." She inhaled and a wide grin spread over her face. "And you smell good too."

Logan stared back at this strange woman, very confused. He what?

"OK, flirting with the guy that tried to kill you is not a very good thing," Sabre pointed out.

"Shut up, oh brother mine. He's cute. And you'd be surprised how many people that try to kill me end up with me. Spike, for one." Nyx chuckled throatily. "And mmm. He just smells soooo good." She leant down and licked up the side of Logan's face. He bit back a yelp of shock. She turned her head to lock at Sabre. "Tastes good too. Very male. And he's clawed."

"Who are you people?" Logan choked out. Nyx giggled.

"Kitties!"

"Well, you can call yerself a kitty if ye want to, Niss me girl, but I would prefer something a tad more masculine, please." Sabre rolled his eyes as he lit up a cigarette. "Are we done wit' tha sparring now? We have a Rogue ta help."

"We'll get to ya sweetie soon, Sabre."

"And again, she's not my anything, Nyx. I just thought ye could help her, is all. Evenin'." Sabre nodded at the people who were staring at them.

"Rogue?" Logan was seriously confused.

Nyx laughed again, and then planted a very sincere kiss on his lips before hopping off and looking around. He got to his feet slowly. She could have killed him, but didn't. And the guy had said they wanted to help Rogue. "Some girl he meet on-line when he hacked into your system. And then the aliens told us where you are, and who you are, so here *we* are. Isn't this fun?" Nyx clapped her hands and bounced slightly. "Fun!" She bounced harder.

"Did you have any coffee today?" Sabre inquired anxiously. Nyx nodded and giggled more as her bounces got higher. "Aw, just great. She's gonna be like this, *all* night. Why? Why me when there's no place to bleeding well lock her up in?" Sabre asked the ceiling as he looked up despairingly.

"Cheer up, Sabby. I'm sure handsome over there can get rid of some of my energy. So, you wanna fight or shag? Your choice, sweetie." Nyx spun back on her heel and advanced on Logan, eyes sparkling with amusement. He backed away. This was just weird.

"Whoa, slow down there." He put his hands up defensively as the petite woman sauntered towards him.

"Why slow down? You look good, taste good, smell good. All my criteria check out in aces, babe." Nyx's grin grew wider; he was definitely attracted to her, she could smell it. "And you're a good fighter. Love that in my men. Males. Not always human." She halted and cocked her head to the side. "Chill. I ain't either. Very serious about the cat thing. So, really don't think I've ever done it with a mutant." Sabre grabbed her shoulders and hauled her back, her heels skidding as she fought wildly to stay upright. "Hey!" Her claws slid out and she took a wild swing at Sabre as he turned her around. Sabre caught them on his own claws and she growled at him.

"Try to keep the furnishings in one piece, lovely." Sabre grinned infuriatingly at her, and Nyx snarled loudly. "We really wanna stay with this noice folk fer a while. If they'll have us."

"Fine," Nyx bit out, and took a deep breath to calm down. "I am so kicking your ass after we help this girl."

"Time, place and make yer will, lovely."

"Like you could hurt me even slightly." Sabre's eyebrow rose, and she amended hastily, "well, maybe slightly." His eyebrow went higher. "Alright, you're a big manly man, beating up on your little sister. You better just watch that guitar of yours." She pointed a finger at him, then noticed her claws were still extended and she withdrew them hastily.

"And then you better make sure your bike doesn't wind up with sugar in its fuel, me girl. Anyways," Sabre drawled as he turned to survey the room. "We're looking fer the girl named Rogue."

Storm

Storm followed the noises until she found Logan.

"Logan, I thought I heard..." she trailed off, noticing two people she had never seen before. Logan didn't appear to be in trouble, but she couldn't be too sure. She cautiously backed away.

"What's going on?"

Rogue

"They're looking for me," Rogue said, stepping into the room with a small smile on her face.

She walked over to the two cats.

"I suppose you're Sabre?"

Kitty

Kitty followed Rogue oput to meet the cats. Seeing the girl, she pulled her aside.

"Are you Nyx? I kinda wanted to talk to you."

Nyx and Sabre

"I'm Nyx! Why?" Nyx turned her head to the side, and then looked around at the students and so on in the corridor. "I like this place. It's cool. And she's got hair like my Priss!" Nyx pointed at Storm.

"So, ye be Rogue then?" Sabre drawled, noticing in puzzlement the long gloves on her hands. He stepped forward and did what he normally did. He raised her hand to his lips for a gentlemanly kiss. "I be glad to finally meet ye." Sabre straightened back up, and stretched.

"Hey, watch it!" Logan growled.

"Aw, is the claw guy all jealous?" Nyx clapped her hands and giggled. "Cos, I gotta tell ya, handsome, Sabre is very good at the flirtation game. Not that he ever means much. Look at her hair, Sabby!" Nyx whirled around to face Storm. "Just like Willow and Priss."

"Well, it's white, aye," Sabre agreed.

"Pretty! All pretty!" Nyx spun in a circle.

"You have had way too much coffee," Sabre sighed.

"Coffee is good! Coffee rocks! Coffee-" Nyx broke off suddenly. "He's blue! How cool is that?" Nyx stalked up to Kurt, eyes wide in curiosity. "He's cute, Sabby."

"Don't call me that, minx!" Sabre rubbed his head in frustration. "Sorry about this. She's not normally like this...actually, this is her, just intensified." Kurt was slowly backing away from Nyx.

"H-hello?" He said in his thick accent.

"Hi! Oh, you're German? Been a while since I was in Germany. I like America better, well, this century at least." Nyx halted and tilted her head to the side. "You've got a tail. But you don't smell demon- y. Smell human, but not quite. Interesting."

"Nyx, stop scaring them." Nyx pouted and then skipped back to Sabre's side.

"Sorry. Just a little whoohoo from the fight and the stealth breaking in thing. Priss is going to be so annoyed," Nyx giggled. "We weren't emant to break in, but it's so much more *fun* to do it that way!"

Kitty

"Mouse told me to talk to you, I'm Kitty, by the way./ Not a cat, it's just my name. Anyways, listen, I know you guys came here to stir up trouble, but one of the instructors here was Buffy Summers' cousin, and he's still kinda blaming himself for everything. And, the way I understand it, Sabre wanted to pick a fight with him, Scott, his name is. And please don't let him. There's enough rough stuff going on in our lives as it is. I know that you cats want to be playful, but please, try not to completely wreak havoc on our lives." Kitty looked at Nyx with pleading eyes. Suddenly, she felt a tapping at the back of her leg, and there was Lockheed, trying to get her attention. Scooping her pet dragon up, she kissed the top of his head.

"Hey Lockheed. Lockheed, this is Nyx, Nyx, this is my pet dragon, Lockheed."

Nyx, Sabre and Logan

"So, you know our lil' Mouse?" Nyx sqealed in excitement and bounced some more. "She didn't say! Hello, little one." Nyx's mood switched abruptly from over-enthuasistic to thoughtful. "You're a long way from home."

"I hate t' say it, Niss, but I'm being the more mature one here." Sabre whistled through his teeth softly and rocked back on his heels, thumbs tucked into his beltloops.

"Like, no way!" Nyx's mood swung back up again. "That is like, so totally not the way things work!" Sabre shuddered visibly.

"Please, stop that."

"Awww, spoil all my fun." Nyx pouted outrageously at him. Logan snorted in derision. Nyx's eyes swung over to him, and she grinned. "Ok, we can't fight the prat, but we can we fight the hottie? Cos, he's good. Sparring is good, and it's been a while since I fought someone with claws."

"We sparred," Sabre objected.

"Yeah, but we've been doing this for what, since we were born? He's got a different style. And you know, hot." Nyx suddenly broke away from Kitty and attacked Logan, claws whistling through the air. He caught hers on his, and glared at her. "Toldya, he's good." Nyx shook her hands and the claws slid back. Logan stumbled slightly as his balance shifted, and Nyx moved closer into his personal space, and licked him again before skipping out of range.

"What the hell?" Logan put a hand to his cheek and stared at her, claws sliding inside his hand reflexively.

"Ooh, enhanced healing factor. You'd be an ace sparring partner," Nyx commentated gleefully.

Kitty

Kitty sighed.

"Can, like, you all, like, PLEASE calm down? I've had long talks wit h Mouse & Dawn, and I think we can all get along if you can just not cause too much commotion. I'm asking you please, we've all had too much drama in our lives already. Besides, you're making Lockheed nervous." The dragon was currently trying to bury his head in Kitty's shoulder. Lockheed was kinda like a cat, only he was a dragon. He acted like an ordinary house-cat, except for a few obvious differences. He was Kitty's baby, though, her best friend.

Kitty looked back at Nyx with pleading eyes. "Please? I know that you two wanna cause trouble, but can you please not, at least not until you get all settled in and stuff?"

Nyx, Sabre and Logan,

"I dont want to cause any trouble, darlin'," Sabre purred. "But Niss be another matter. Until the coffee wears off, she's going t' be nigh unbearable. When did ye get any of that vile stuff, anyways?"

"Truck stop that we stopped at. I got me a double espresso. Strong truck stop coffee. Boosts the magick up way high. Bad side effects though. I'm sorry, little one. I'll try to calm down," Nyx said apologetically to Lockheed. "Just, all this caffeine running through my systenm. Makes me edgy. Makes me pick fights, and stuff. Mouse would be runing off the walls now, cos she's empathic much. Dawn would be annoyed at me. So, calming down now." Nyx closed her eyes and took several deep breaths.

"Well, that may help," Sabre said slowly. Nyx's eyes opened slowly and she looked around frowning.

"Come out, mind walker. I feel you here. I'm not human, and my mind be deep. Be careful you don't get trapped." Nyx put her hands together in front of her face, like she was praying. "My mind is a dangerous place. I wouldn't want to be the cause of your mind's death, for I can feel you be strong, and wise for one of such short lifespan."

"Nyx, stop scaring the little kiddies," Sabre warned.

"What? I can feel him, here, there, everywhere." Her head snapped up. "Don't try the whispers trick on me. My sister does that better then most."

Logan stared at her. She was obviously talking to Xavier. Where was the professor, anyway? Shouldn't he have come to find out what was going on?

Rogue

"Well, this is fun," Rogue drawled. "Y'all come over here to meet me, and when y'all here ya don't even say 'hi'. Ah thinks ah should be offended Shugah."

Theresa

Theresa came out of her room, and saw Rogue & Kitty talking to some people dressed in leather, and a very pissed off Wolverine.

"What's going on?" she asked in her lilting Irish accent.

Rogue

"Well, Shugah," Rogue replied. "These 'ere folks, Sabre and Nyx came over just to visit li'le ol' me - and they haven't said 'hi' yet. Logan, naturally, isn't all that happy about them dropping in on us in the dead of night, and Kitty's trying to tell them to behave themselves on account of Scott's cousin dyin'. Oh, and Nyx is super high on coffee. How fun."

Theresa

Theresa smiled. "Well, luv, aren't ye gonna introduce me?" Suddenly, she saw Nyx's claws slip out, and she yelped. It was very quick, but it still made everybody cover their ears.

"Sorry 'bout that I am, ye startled me, miss."

Kitty

"Logan, like, when you, like, figure it out, can you, like, please let me know?" Kitty said, laughing. "I'm uber-confused. I just know that there's a lot of crap going on now, among alines & mutants, and the supernatural alike."

Nyx and Sabre

"Straight talker, straight shooter, sweetie?" Nyx made a gun with her hand and jerked it upright as if she had fired it at Kitty. "What you said just about describes it. All the earth's going wild because the Hellmouth is closed. We got Blondie to thank for that. Good thing, but," Nyx clapped her hands together, "makes the earth unsettled, like."

"Even I can feel it, and I got no taste for magick a'tall. Enough said on tha' particular topic." Sabre frowned, and then shook it off. "So, ye be Rogue, and did I na' hear an Irish lilt in this beautiful girl's voice?" Sabre turned and half bowed towards Theresa. "Be nice to hear one of the voices of Eire again. Be long since I wandered that land." His eyes grew distant with memory. "Aye, long indeed. I tend t' lose track of tha time, ye see."

"You and me both, bro!" Nyx slapped his arm lightly, and laughed. "So, mind walker, ready to stop with the tricks yet?"

Xavier wheeled out slowly, eyes alight with interest. "Welcome to the school for the Gifted, Nyx, Sabre."

"Thank you for your greeting." Nyx dipped an elaborate curtsey.

"Proffesor, you can't honestly mean to-" Logan stepped forward to protest, but Xavier raised his hand.

"I can, and I do, Logan. They're good at heart, and they mean no harm to us. Indeed, I think they come to help."

Theresa

Theresa broke into a grin. "You be from home? Northern or southern? Me home was in Belfast, but when the neighbors house was bombed, he sent me here for safety. I coulda stayed with 'im, though, for he has the same gifts as me."

Nyx and Sabre

"He ain't from either!" Nyx laughed wildly. Sabre growled and cuffed her over the ear.

"She's right though. We're from Egypt, but I always loved the Emerald Isle and I've taken on some things. I was a bard though, back when the Romans had not touched sandalled foot to Albion's soil. I just love Ireland. It's sad to see what a mess humans have made of it though. All the pain..." Sabre shook his head sadly.

"I don't like that side of chaos," Nyx agreed. "And the Sidhe have hidden themselves away. Pity. They always knew how to throw great parties."

"What are ye talking about them for? Ye always liked those little Formrii."

"Well, yeah, but a girl can like the evil and the mostly good, can't she? True good tends to give me a headache. All, ick, ethical." Nyx shuddered. "Not that I don't have my own system of ethics, just, they take it to extremes."

Theresa

"Ye surely sond like a child or Eire. I miss me da'. Even with the Good Friday Peace Accord, it's still scary back home. I do miss playing in me backyard though, with the Will O' the Wisps flyin' about. They don't reveal themselves to humans ye know, unless it is to confuse ye & draw ye off a cliff. And once, me Da' befriended a fey, aye but was she beautiful, the three aspects switching to and fro. Ye being of magick, ye know the Fey?" She asked. What most of the school didn't know, was that a few Will O' The Wisps had followed Terry from Ireland when she came to the States 5 years ago. They danced around the school, pretending to be fireflies, and confuse the students. But the students were not human, so they had a bit more contact wthan a human would. As if on cue, a little golden light flew in through an open window, and began darting around in front of people's faces. Theresa held out her hand, and the tiny creature landed on her palm. Closer inspection proved that it was, in fact, a tiny 'person' that appeared to be made of a golden fire, inside a translucent orb of sorts, running and darting about, faster than the average human eye could notice, most of the time.

Nyx and Sabre

"I had wondered what that sense was," Nyx mumured as she bent down to look at the Wisp. "Greetings, little flame." She could sense the magick flickering from it. "We know the Fey."

"We get confused for them, sometimes. I think it's the shape of our eyes that does it. That and the fact that the world has grown woefully ignorant of the wilder side of life." Sabre glanced at the Wisp. "Sometimes I think they like the ignorance; it means they do not have t' face up to the sometimes darker side of life. And then, they've driven it out with th' technology, and the pollution." Sabre almost spat in disgust. "Greasy, dirty, smoke filled warrens ye like t' call cities."

"I happen to like city life, thank you very much," Nyx said tartly as she straightened up. "All mmm, glittery and very convenient. I like this age, it's fun."

Theresa and Kitty

"I've never lived anywhere but the city," Theresa said, "I'm sure you've been to Belfast, it's the biggest city in Ireland. Covers almost all of Northern Ireland."

"It's, like, the same for me. Like, before I came here, I'd, like, never been out of Chicago before. I like it here, though." Kitty shivered. "It's safe here, small in the school."

Nyx, Sabre and Logan

"S'nice place," Nyx said admiringly. "I'm not one for possessions much myself, or a lair, but it is nice."

"And once Niss sets up a few wards, it'll be safer still."

"Wards?" Logan asked suspiciously.

"Circles of protection, and the like. Magick stuff. I tend to keep out of it myself. Much prefer the physical to the magickal. Almost like...cheating, somehow."

"We do know how you feel on the matter, Sabby."

"Don't call me Sabby."

"Call you anything I damn well please," Nyx tossed back. "Or I'll tell them that story."

"And then I'd tell them what *really* happened to Atlantis."

"You wouldn't dare!" Nyx spun on her heel. Sabre grinned.

"Oh, wouldn't I?"

"Fine. Truce?"

"For now." Sabre stretched lazily. "Do ye have someplace she can store her bike? It's outside at the moment. Hidden."

Logan

"I'll show you where the garage is," Logan offered. He found this girl to be a breath of fresh air, even if she was annoying as all hell.

Nyx, Sabre and Logan

"Oh, cool fun! Do ya have a bike?" Nyx asked Logan suddenly. "You look like the kind of guy that would have a bike."

"Uh, yeah. Well, it's not actually mine but I ride it." Logan crossed his arms. "So, are we doing this or not?"

"We're doing this." Logan set off and Nyx followed, humming and occasionally singing.

"Won't decide, but he won't debate. Said thanks my friend, thought it was too late. Why oh why, I don't know..." Nyx sang quietly. almost under her breath as they walked out the front door At the door, Nyx paused and looked back inside. "Sabre, fix the window we came in by."

"It's not broken. Really, it's not," Sabre assured the proffessor. He smiled around, and then saw Storm. He frowned in puzzlement. "Why are ye so scared of us? I can smell it from here, your fear...it's strong. Have we harmed any of ye? We have no intent to do so, to be sure!" Sabre felt very uncomfortable. She looked like Priss, but not.

Storm

Storm took a deep breath. She looked at Sabre, still feeling the fear in her chest.

"I..." Storm looked to the Professor for help. She wanted to not be afraid, she wanted to be brave, not just for everyone else but for herself.

"I know you won't harm us. I just... I'm Storm, by the way."

Storm took a cautious step towards Sabre.

Sabre

Sabre made his body language much less aggressive, eyes turning from hers and head lowering as he spread his hands wide. If she was scared, no reason to make her more so. "Pleased to meet'cha. Sabre. Like the sword, but spelled different. And like knowing headwise is not the same as knowing gutwise. I know that." He darted a glance at her; she looked a bit more relaxed, and probably didn't even know why. "So. Are there beds, or do me and Nyx go into our true shapes? Ye might want to see that anyway." Sabre yawned suddenly, teeth flashing whitely in his tanned face.

"I would be most intrigued to see it sometime," Xavier said softly.

"But not in public. Clothes don't go when we change, for some reason." Sabre rubbed his hand through his hair. "I will need to talk to mam about that. It just gets annoying after awhile."

"I think it is time that the students returned to their beds."

"Yeah, sorry 'bout that." Sabre had the grace to look embarrassed. "We really didn't mean to wake everyone up."

Storm

Storm gave a small smile. "Your true form?"

She was still scared, and so talking in short non-committal sentences helped her to get used to everything.

"We have some spare beds, right Professor?"

Sabre

"I'm a cat, lovely. Fur's my native skin, the calls of the beast my native tongue." Sabre raised his eyebrow in wicked amusement. "This is just a coat. Have you any idea how annoying it is to get picked up by the pound, and then have no way to get out that doesn't involve nudity? Annoying as hell, I can tell you. This age puts so much emohasis on paperwork!"

Storm

Storm backed away again involuntarily.

"Oh... oh ok. A cat. That's pretty cute."

She looked to the professor.

"I think I'm going back to bed now, Professor. Night... Sabre."

Sabre

"Cute? The woman calls me cute," Sabre sighed and then muttered under his breath in Gaelic. "Well, it's a start, G'night, lovely." He flashed her a brilliant smile. "Sweet dreams," he said in his husky voice. "I hope we did not disturb your rest too much."

Storm

Storm gave a small smile in return. "No, not at all. Sweet dreams to you too."

She turned and left slowly, still deciding whether or not to run like crazy or be calm. She opted to be calm and walked gracefully to her room, where she closed her door and hopped back into bed.

Theresa

"Oh Professor, must we?" Theresa asked. "t's been so long since I heard somebody speak proper English, adn the Will O' the Wisps are being so hyper right now."

Theresa giggled as she heard what he said. "Oh, gurrier!" she giggled, knowing he would know what she was saying.

OOC: that word is loosely translated as 'f*cker' in Gaelic. *giggles*

Sabre

"Oh, and how does a sweet lass like yeself kno' a word like that then?" Sabre mock-scowled at her, then laughed. "I like yer students, professor. They have attitude."

"Indeed." Xavier smiled serenly.

Theresa and Kitty

Theresa giggled. " I was hoping ye'd understand me. Ye really are a boy oe Eire, though ye may be Egyptian by blood." The Will o' the Wisps started to complain, and then one ran over and began to whisper Gaelic in her ear. "All right, I'll go back to me blasted bedroom already. Doesn't enyone want me to have fun?" The Professor looked at Kitty.

"You too, Kitty."

"Aww, but Professor, please? Scowl. "All right." She looked at Sabre. "Don't go anywhere. I wanna talk more to you in the morning. And tell your sister the same thing." Kitty took Theresa''s hand and phased them through their bedroom wall and into their room. Everybody looked as the Will o' the Wisps tried to follow Theresa and crashed right in the wall. Terry suddenly remembered them, and opened the door so they, and Lockheed, could all slip into the room.

Sabre

Sabre followed Jean quietly to the room she indicated and said good night politely. Then he shifted down into his cat form, travelled through the halls and slipped inside the girls dorm by the judicious use of his paw. He didn't like sleeping alone. He'd been alone enough, and that Irish girl was just...innocent and lovely but she had spunk. He curled up on the end of her bed, after showing his teeth at Lockheed in warning and settled down to sleep. He liked these girls, and he could do a better job of protecting them from *inside* the room. They were all worried about something, he could tell. He wouldn't be too late again. He shifted uneasily at the unpleasant memory and concentrated on sleeping.

Logan and Nyx

Logan and Nyx chatted amiably about bikes as she wheeled hers into the garage and got her and Sabre's few belongings off it. After a mutual appreciation and questioning about each other's cycles, they headed in. Logan was gaining a wary respect for the slight woman, and her feelings about Logan were public knowledge already.

"Well, good night," Logan said gruffly. "I bet Jean has you a room all ready." Nyx giggled and patted his cheek affectionately. She took no notice of his head jerk away from it.

"Oh, so that's the name of my competition? Yet, she didn't smell like you..." Logan growled at her, and Nyx;s eyebrows went up. "She's not yours then? I still have a chance."

"I don't think so."

"I'm very persuasive." She waggled her eyebrows suggestively, then turned and swayed off. "Lick ya later, sexy. Like to do you real soon."

Logan turned on his heel and headed off towards his room, heartily confused.
