X-men - Trev

FixxSpriteLog0097(31/12/03 11:54) - This has all happened so fast! It feels like only yesterday that I was home...the future. Back with my friends...my family...my life. But, it has not been. I have been here for months...with Bishop, assembling fellow mutants to help stop the Apocalypse from awakening and creating a horrible future...my future. The only thing here to remind me off that is Bishop. And he's no help. I just want to be home. With Archer.

And it's nearly time for the Apocalypse to awake. We are assembled in Egypt, inside a Pyramid that has housed Apocalypse for many many years, outside the room where he has been sleeping for over 2 millennia. I hope we assembled the right people. I will describe them now. So, if we don't survive, their bravery and sacrifices will be known.

Firstly there is Bishop. He came back with me. He left behind his sister and his position as the leader or the rebel forces to come back with me. He has sacrificed so much for a potential future, we may not be even able to make. He is a great leader.

Our first recruits were a group of three mutants, lost and not knowing what to do with their lives. One, the leader of the group, is named Polaris...Lorna Dane.

She is the "Mistress of Magnetism". Such a powerful woman but sadly, not much control. Bishop has been helping her over the last few months. I hope she will have enough control for the battle ahead.

With her were "Forearm", who we do not know much about besides his abilities, and Locus, the teleporter. They can control their powers. I know, from the time we have spent with them, I can trust in their abilities to the utmost.

Next we found Arlette Truffaut...Murmur. A young French Canadian girl who had just seen her mother killed by a creature known as a "Vampire". These vampires are just urban myths in our times...creatures who had supposedly lived back in these times, but were wiped out in the legendary "10 Year Hunt". Bishop brought her into the group. I still wonder if it is irresponsible to bring someone so young with us. Murmur can create mind links with people with just a touch and can control their actions. I feel her power will be of much use.

The next two to join were a mutant couple calling themselves Boost and Tether. Boost can enter another mutant's body and boost their powers. Tether has a reptilian/human appearance with an electric tail. Both are great and powerful warriors, claiming to be part of a secret society known as Morlocks. These Morlocks were also myths in our time. I feel honoured to be fighting alongside of some.

And lastly we have a young man known as Neal Sharra. Born and raised in India, he grew up living the good life, as his family was rich and powerful unlike most in his country. He is able to control and transform himself into solar plasma. He, along with a young girl named Gloria Munoz, or Risque as she calls herself, were on a Scottish island named Muir Island, the home of the world renouned scientist Moira MacTaggert. MacTaggert searched the world for young and powerful kids, to help with her research into mutants and also to help train them to use their powers properly. These two were some of her first recruits. With Neal's power over solar plasma and Gloria's control over gravity, plus their training, they have become valuable parts of this team.

It is nearly time for his awakening. Just as the records state. I hope we survive this and win. Not only for the world but also the future.

FixxSpriteLog0097*End (31/12/03 11:59)

Opening her eyes from deep concentration, Fixx looks at the little white psionic sprite standing on her finger. She smiles and it smiles back, and flies into the apparatus on her forehead. Once the sprite has disappeared, Fixx looks up and takes a deep breath.

"It is now time" she says stone-faced, staring at the door in front of her.

All at once, the teams watches all start beeping, signifying what should be the awakening of Apocalypse. They all gather into a group, ready for battle. The door remains closed.

Seconds go by. Minutes. Hours. And still now awakening.

"Could the histories have been wrong Bishop?" Fixx asks, looking concerned at her leader.

"Of course not. Never!" he snaps back and then turns towards the sound of moving rock behind him.

Suddenly, four figures fly out of the doorway, straight past the group as if they weren't there. Three of them fly out of the pyramid they were in, while one stops and hovers but towards the group. Tether and Polaris charge towards him but they are stopped with a wave of his hand. The rest of the group tries to move but find they are frozen as well.

"Stop" says the black-cloaked man, "I am Death. I am One of the Horsemen of Apocalypse. Your presence here confuses even me, as I know that your destiny does not lie here. I have been told. Tell me, why are you all here? You!" he yells as he points at Bishop, freeing Bishop to speak at the same time.

"We are here for Apocalypse. To stop him and the horrors he will bring to this world. To my future." Bishop replies sternly, remaining tough and headstrong.

"Ah I see" the man known as Death replies, "You must be the leader? Yes! We knew you would come. But we did not know when. You have answered that for us. Thank You."

"You're*thanking us?" the albino man known as Boost replies, confused.

"Why yes!" Death replies with a laugh, "Because you see, Destiny told us there would be "Two future walkers. Returned to stop what they have created". And here they are. Right in here in front of me. And here was me thinking Ms Irene Alder wasn't the real deal."

The young woman known as Risque gasps at the mention of the name "Irene Alder"

"Reny? You have her?" she asks as tears start to dwell in her eyes.

"Why yes. She is essential to our purposes." Death replies, looking at the distraught woman. "Does this sound familiar?"

Risque looks on in horror as the voice of her friend and mentor, Irene Alder, is spoken from Death's mouth.

"No don't worry Gloria. I will be fine. I'll call when I am due to return. Be safe now. Bye"

"You monster!" the girl screams as she tries to use her powers, to find they aren't working.

"It is a place of power here girl. That is why he once rested here. I can do whatever I imagine here." Death states, still hovering in the air.

"Wait a goddamn minute!" Bishop yells, shaking his head, "Returned to stop what they have created"? What does that mean?"

As Death goes to open his mouth, Fixx comes to realization of what is going on. "Oh no" she mutters quietly, a tear forming in her left eye.

"Don't you see? Your being here is what awakens my master! You and your fellow future walkers journey to our time weakens the time/space barrier that has held my master here for so many years. By coming back to avert your future, you are actually creating it!"

"What?! No!" Bishops yells again, shaking his head, hoping what Death speaks cannot be true, "This can't be! The Histories say*!"

"And the Apocalypse will be awoken by the unknowing mind and body, spirit and energy." Death answers, moving towards Bishop. "For you are the body and the energy my friend. And your fellow traveler is both mind and spirit. Destiny*Irene was right again. Boy is she good!"

Bishop lowers his head in shame and sadness, crying at the realization of what he has caused. "Dear God no*"

"It is too late now my friend as the time for Apocalypse is at hand! But first we must gather those who are strong. Test the masses. Our purpose is separate the weak and the strong. For as our master demands, it must be so. "Survival of the fittest!". And so shall it be!"

With that, Death floated further up into the air, nearly the exit to the chamber.

"That note my friends that Apocalypse is not here. For this was once his resting place but is no longer. Where he is, you cannot go. The Eternal One shall rest until we see fit to awaken him. This you cannot stop. Do not even attempt. Just survive. That is, if you can! Farewell my friends!"

"We are not your friends!" Polaris screamed back at him, "We will survive. By stopping you, your fellow horsemen and Apocalypse himself! Mark my words!"

Death stopped and turned his head slightly.

"Is that so?"

He hovered back towards the group, still frozen and stared at Polaris.

"We're not friends?" he asked.

With that Polaris spat at him and growled.

Death shook his head and started to lower down the hood of his cloak to reveal the face of her former teammate Reaper.

"Reaper?" Polaris quietly asked, looking at Forearm and Locus and then back to her once ally.

"No longer. I am now Death. I was saved after your*butchery. I now live to serve he who shall rise again."

Forearm and Locus looked on with disbelieve at what they were seeing. They could not believe their former friend was now Death.

"Your arms?" Locus spat out, confused and staring in disbelief.

Death looked down at them with a smile.

"Replaced to make his wishes so." Death replied, clenching his fists. Energy started to form around each one of them, forming into the shape of scythes. "I still have my original powers but with many more!"

Death looked around at the group and smiled.

"Do not fear though. Your time has not yet come. You will still life to fight another day."

With that, Death flew away again not looking back.

A few minutes went past, and the group fell to the floor, no longer under Deaths powers.

All shell-shocked by what had just happened, they wandered aimlessly into the chamber that the four horsemen had left from to find it empty.

"He was right about everything. We need help!" Fixx cried.

Locus looked up from the floor and looked at Fixx. "I know where to find some"

With that, Locus teleported the group and their belongs away.
