27 December 2003 - A debt to be paid

Tegan

Sabre and Keltie

A motorbike stood innocently at the side of the road, keys dangling from its ignition. No one was around. There was just the extremely expensive and shiny looking bike.

Sabre walked up to it and ran his hand down the seat.

"New look, Keltie."

Suddenly there wasn't a bike there anymore. And Sabre had his hand on a young girl's butt. He removed it hastily and she laughed, a snickering whinny of a sound.

"One hast to move with the times, fionbach."

"So, a motorbike..."

"Not many people know haw tae rade a horrrse, fionbach. Just da stinking iron ones naw. Sad, tis sad that the children of Erin, Tara and Mona knae only science, and nae the knowledge of therr forrrefatherrs, cath. Sae, fer wot do ye be aseeking Keltie?"

She crossed her arms and tossed a forelock of hair out of her eyes, blowing nervously.

"Ye owe me, nygel."

"Obhan tesh!"

Keltie turned on her heel and raised her hand to her mouth to chew on her nails nervously.

"Ye freaed me, cath, I owe ye for tha'. So wot be ya a-wantin' me for?"

"To guard and to teach."

She relaxed slightly and cast a nervous look at him. Sabre stood calmly.

"Who, what, where, fionbach?"

"A child, we're not sure what but it be powerful to be certain, and Tulsa Oklahoma, USA."

"Oklahoma! There be no water thaer for me, cath!"

She grimaced.

"But a debt is a debt. I'll gae."

"Thank you, Keltie."

"I really hate ye sometimes, cath."
