Mordred
Mordred held Gwen and kissed her softly, thinking. Christmas had been yesterday...and he'd promised he wouldn't start hunting until after Christmas. He could start hunting now.
A slow predatory grin passed over his face.
This was gonna be fun. And long overdue.
Gwen
Gwen smiled sleepily at Mordred, loving the safe feeling she felt in his arms. She hoped she'd never have to live a day without him, ever again.
"Morning," she said softly.
Mordred
"Morning," Mordred purred.
He could hear the muffled sounds of Faolan playing with the ps2. Now, that had been an inspired buy.
"I think...I'm going hunting today."
Gwen
Gwen nodded and kissed him gently.
"Well be careful..."
She rolled over on top of him.
"Be very careful..."
Mordred
"I will be, love, promise," Mordred said.
"I will be coming home tonight."
Gwen
Gwen nodded and lay another kiss on his lips.
"Good... I don't think I could stand it if you didn't."
Mordred
"So I'll go find this bastard, kill him, dump his body and then come home. You want anything while I'm out?" Mordred asked.
"Do we need to go shopping for anything?"
Gwen
Gwen shook her head.
"Nah, I think we'll survive... unless you want to pick something up for dinner."
Mordred
"Mmm, yeah."
Mordred kissed her lazily, nipping at her lips.
"Chinese, maybe?"
Gwen
"Up to you," Gwen replied. "I'd rather just eat you."
She smiled innocently.
Mordred
"Would you?" Mordred said.
"You're being wicked again."
He kissed her softly.
Gwen
"It's easy to forget about everything when I'm with you," Gwen replied honestly.
She kissed him back.
Mordred
Mordred put his hands carefully on her hips while he kissed her.
"Love you, Gwen."
Gwen
"Love you back, Mordred."
Gwen leaned down and kissed him again, and then she looked in his eyes and smiled.
Mordred
"I love watching you smile....you don't do it enough," Mordred said, smoothing his thumb along the curve of her bottom lip.
He kissed her again.
Gwen
Gwen kissed him back.
"Haven't been many reasons to smile lately."
She ran a hand through his hair.
Mordred
"S'pose not."
Mordred smiled lazily at her, rubbing his thumbs over her nipples.
Gwen
Gwen closed her eyes and smiled, then tugged on his nipple rings.
"I love you."
Mordred
"Love you too, cariad."
Mordred moaned softly, fingers starting to move with more purpose.
Gwen
Gwen bent her head and kissed him deeply, while one hand slid down his body to his length.
"Mine."
Mordred
"Yours," Mordred agreed.
He bucked up into her hand slightly, moaning.
"Oh god, yours."
He rubbed over her stud lightly.
Gwen
Gwen moaned softly.
"Godd... need you..."
She grasped his length and slid her hand over it gently.
Mordred
"You've got me, always," Mordred promised.
"God, Gwen..."
Gwen
A tear slid down Gwen's cheek as she smiled sadly at him.
"Always..."
She kissed him deeply, her hand never stopping in it's movements.
Mordred
Mordred leant up and kissed the tear from her cheek.
"I said always, and I mean it. I love you, Gwen."
Gwen
"I love you, Mordred."
Gwen kissed him again and moved herself into the right position, then sank down over his length.
Mordred
"Bloody hell, oh god, Gwen..." Mordred moaned.
He rubbed over her stud gently, leaning up to lick at her breasts.
Gwen
"Mordredddd..." Gwen moaned. "Goddd..."
She slowly increased her rhythm.
Mordred
Mordred grazed her stud with his fingernail, watching her move.
"God, Gwen...f*ccckkk..."
Gwen
"God... oh God..."
Gwen's back arched slightly as she moved, reaching down to tug on his nipple rings.
Mordred
"Gwen! Oh f*ck!"
Mordred moaned, hips thrusting up into her with greater force.
"Oh god, like that..."
Gwen
Gwen hissed in a breath and moved faster, pulling more on his nipple rings.
"Godddddd..."
Mordred
"Ahhhh, Gwen, oh goddddddd," Mordred moaned.
His fingers moved over her quickly, other hand moving up to caress her breasts.
Gwen
"Oh God!"
Gwen moaned and reached down and fondled his balls, then sparked through his nipple ring and balls simultaneously.
Mordred
"Oh F*CK!"
Mordred arched his back and came, fingers faltering for a moment, then rubbing more smoothly.
Gwen
Gwen threw her head back and came, then bent her head to kiss him deeply.
"Ohhhhhh," she moaned.
Mordred
"Mmm."
Mordred kissed her lazily.
"We better get dressed..."
Gwen
"Yeah... Can you drop the kids at the mansion? I'm going to get that check up today."
Gwen kissed him back then rolled off him.
Mordred
"Alrighty."
Mordred leant over and kissed her again before he got up off the bed and padded into the ensuite to shower.
Gwen
Gwen stretched lazily, and smiled faintly, smelling Mordred's scent on the pillow. She sat up and pulled on a robe then went to see the twins. They were actually still sleeping for once, so she left and went back to their room. She went into the bathroom to join Mordred in the shower.
Mordred
Mordred worked shampoo through his hair, then ducked his head under the showerhead to wash it off. He spat out the water that had run into his mouth and wiped his eyes.
"Hey love."
Gwen
Gwen smiled.
"Hey."
She moved so she was under the water and stretched her arms up languidly.
Mordred
Mordred kissed her and then started to shampoo her hair, running his fingers through the wet locks and massaging her scalp.
"After you have the checkup...what are you gonna do?"
Gwen
Gwen kissed him back and closed her eyes, then moved under the water again to wash the shampoo out of her hair.
"Might get a haircut, go pick the kids up and come back here."
Mordred
"Oh yeah?"
Mordred helped wash the shampoo out of her hair before applying conditioner to her hair and his own.
"But I like your hair."
He pouted at her.
Gwen
"Aww, pouty."
Gwen kissed his pout gently.
"Just a trim, it's all..."
She shuddered at the memories of her trip home.
"Such nice long hair..."
>
Harsh breathing in her ear.
Mordred
"S'ok then."
Mordred kissed her slowly as they washed the conditioner out of their hair. He started to soap her up carefully, paying extra attention to make sure he didn't jar any of her bruises.
Gwen
Gwen kissed his neck, and took the soap from him to return the favour.
"Love you."
Mordred
"Love you too," Mordred said.
He kissed her gently.
"Always, mo cariad."
Gwen
"And forever," Gwen replied, kissing him back.
She kissed him back, then rested her head against his shoulder.
Mordred
"Yeah."
Mordred kissed her back, then turned off the shower before it got cold.
Gwen
Gwen shivered in the sudden cold, then handed Mordred a towel, and took one for herself.
"So you won't be home late?"
Mordred
"No, shouldn't be," Mordred said.
"I might break into Cerebro and use that."
Gwen
"Can you..."
Gwen kissed his cheek, then went about drying herself off.
"As long as you stay safe."
Mordred
"I will."
Mordred dried himself off, scruffing up his hair.
"New York isn't that big. Really doubt he's left."
Gwen
"Yeah, he's probably just dying to stick around and do it again," Gwen said bitterly.
She dressed in baggy faded jeans and a long sleeved white shirt.
Mordred
"You know I'd never let it happen again," Mordred said.
He pulled on a pair of black jeans and a top before picking up his black leather jacket.
"Besides, he'll be dead by the end of today."
Gwen
Gwen nodded and kissed him gently.
"Just be careful."
Mordred and Faolan
"I will be," Mordred promised.
They left their bedroom.
"Hey, Fao," Mordred said.
"Hey," Faolan said distractedly, fingers pressing down on the buttons of his controller.
Gwen
Gwen smiled slightly and went to get the twins. She changed them and brought them down and then fed them.
"He's really not going to move, is he?" Gwen asked, looking amused.
"Da!" Bryant and Eavan said.
Mordred and Faolan
"Probably not," Mordred said, sipping from a mug of coffee.
"Hey you two."
He kissed them both on the forehead.
"DIE!" Faolan cheered, pressing down hard on the buttons.
"Yay! High score!"
"Yeah, maybe we shouldn't have gotten him a shoot 'em up."
Gwen
Gwen grinned.
"But look, he's so much like his father."
She grabbed herself a cup of coffee.
"Mama," Eavan said solemnly, before producing a flower in her hand.
"Aww, thanks, Eavie."
Mordred and Faolan
"Killing all the bad guys?" Mordred said dryly.
"What are you playing, Fao?"
"Ummm...not sure. I get to drive around in a car and run people over. They squish."
Gwen
"Is that the aim of the game?" Gwen asked, raising her eyebrow.
She lifted the box.
"Apparently so. Simpsons Hit and Run."
Mordred and Faolan
"It's fun."
Faolan nodded.
"DIE!"
"Yes..." Mordred murmured.
Gwen
Gwen grinned.
"Yeah, I'm going to end up playing with this thing today."
Mordred and Faolan
"Yep. If we manage to pry the controls from his cold dead fingers," Mordred laughed.
"I want to try one of the games I bought for me. The Getaway. That looked good."
Gwen
"How sad are we? Well, not so much you... but I'm 25, and I'm getting excited about playing a Playstation2."
Gwen chuckled slightly and settled down on a couch.
Mordred and Faolan
"But it's very cool," Mordred said.
He went into the kitchen to wash up his mug.
"Anyway, Fao, you're going to have to get off that so you can go to the mansion."
"Can I take it with me?"
Gwen
Gwen shrugged and took her mug back into the kitchen.
"They have an XBox or a Gamecube or something there... so you won't be bored."
Mordred and Faolan
Faolan pouted, eyes still fixed on the images on the screen.
"But I'm doing so well!"
"Brat," Mordred said.
"And I'm who's son, and you're surprised?"
Gwen
Gwen laughed.
"Oh he raises a good point, love."
Mordred and Faolan
"He does, doesn't he," Mordred said dryly.
"One more level, then you have to go get dressed."
"Three."
"One."
"Three."
"Two."
"Alright."
Gwen
"Nice compromise."
Gwen lifted up Eavan and Bryant who were poking each other.
Mordred and Faolan
"Yeah, isn't it," Mordred said.
Faolan giggled.
Gwen
"Da, watch!" Eavan said, then made a puddle of water in her hands.
Gwen smiled slightly.
Mordred
"Wow, that's pretty cool," Mordred said.
"Make sure it doesn't get on the carpet, pet."
Gwen
Gwen wiped the water away and Eavan clapped happily and then poked her brother.
"Insanity, they get that from you."
Mordred
"You sure it's from me?" Mordred said.
"Don't poke your brother, Eavan."
Gwen
Bryant poked Eavan back and they giggled.
"Yes, I'm sure it's from you."
Gwen kissed his cheek.
Mordred and Faolan
"I'm outnumbered," Mordred said.
"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon," Faolan said, concentrating on his game.
Gwen
"Poor baby," Gwen said, kissing him softly.
Bryant and Eavan giggled.
Mordred
Mordred kissed her back.
"I'm being picked on."
Gwen
"Awwwwww, diddums."
Gwen smiled.
Mordred and Faolan
"Anyway, Fao, you done yet?"
"Nearly."
"I'll go get the twins's bag."
Mordred went to the twins's room.
Gwen
Gwen shook her head slightly and fixed Eavan and Bryant in their stroller.
"Mama, smile."
Gwen smiled at the twins and kissed their heads.
Mordred and Faolan
"Bossy little bits, aren't they?" Mordred said as he came back with their bag.
"They get that from their mother, for sure."
"Finished!" Faolan announced and saved his game.
Gwen
"No way, totally get it from you," Gwen replied.
Gwen stood back slighty, then kissed Mordred gently.
"Come home to me."
Mordred and Faolan
"I will," Mordred promised.
"Come on, brats."
Faolan scampered over and Mordred kissed Gwen again before disappearing.
"Right, babysitters...here's hoping I can still use them despite being expelled."
Gwen
Gwen then went and locked the house and headed out to the hair dressers.
Mordred
Mordred dropped the kids off at the babysitters and Faolan raced off to play with Kanika, who was bored since Logan was in Australia. Then he went down to break into Cerebro.
He rubbed his hands together slowly, looking at the optic look. Right. How did he fool these things again? It was with a bit of a shock when he approached it and it opened anyway.
"Welcome, Wolf," the electronic voice said pleasantly.
Mordred walked into it slowly and then stood in front of the platform that held the headpiece. The doors slid shut behind him as he lifted the headpiece onto his head.
"Oh god!"
He went to his knees, but managed to concentrate through the sheer volume of infomation.
He zipped through the minds of New York, searching for the man who had raped Gwen. And found him. He pushed the headpiece off his head and lay there panting for a few moments. God, that hurt.
He gathered his energies and teleported to where the man was. He grinned as the man whipped around and cracked his knuckles.
"Surprise."
Gwen
"Who the f*ck are you?" the guy asked.
"And how the f*ck did you get here?"
Gwen arrived at the hairdressers and flipped through a magazine.
Mordred
"Well, I teleported here," Mordred said, advancing in a deadly stalk.
"And I'm the husband of the woman you raped about four days ago. I'm going to kill you. Slowly and painfully. I think I'll start by beating you up, and then I'm going to rip off your dick and shove it down your throat."
Gwen
"Ah yes, that mutant slut."
The guy grinned.
"When will you mutants learn? You simply cannot mess with human nature."
Gwen picked out a hairstyle.
Mordred
Mordred threw all his weight into the first punch, smashing the guy's nose.
"And when will humans learn that mutants are the next step up, more powerful and just all round better, hmmm? Did you really think that you wouldn't be punished."
He roundhous kicked the man in the stomach.
"And my wife is not a slut, arsehole."
Gwen
"Well... thought had crossed my mind, yeah," the guy spat his blood in Mordred's face. "She smells good, doesn't she?"
"And she's cute when she cries."
Gwen hummed slightly as she went to sit in the chair to get her hair cut. She had a sudden flash of wanting it all cut off, but decided against it.
Mordred
Mordred snarled, eyes starting to glow gold.
"You pissed me off before, but now I'm just that angry I think I might wolf out and eat you."
His hair started to lengthen as he started 'porting around the guy, snapping kicks and throwing hard punches that always seemed to connect.
Gwen
"Jokes on you, mutie."
The guy grinned weakly as a huge number of men surrounded Mordred, and one by one, kicked the crap out of him.
Gwen explained to the hairdresser what she wanted.
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
Mordred rolled into a ball, and tried to 'port. He wolfed out suddenly, screaming with the pain of it now he wasn't in Middle-earth and the men took a step back as the huge black wolf snarled weakly at them. Mordred shook his head dazedly, then leapt for one of them, knocking him to the ground as he tore out his throat in a spray of blood and gore.
Vortigern sat up suddenly.
"Mordred."
"What's wrong, love?" Spike asked sleepily.
"Something's wrong with Mordred."
Gwen
"Trank it," someone said, voice devoid of emotion as he watched the trank dart sink into Mordred's side. "Filthy thing. Now, bag it."
A guy stepped forward to do just that.
Gwen hissed slightly, as she left the hairdressers.
Mordred...;
Mordred and Vortigern
Mordred's eyes closed and his form shimmered. He dewolfed and lay there as the men packed him up and left the concrete room.
"Oh god!" Vortigern exclaimed.
"We have to go back to America, now!"
Gwen and Leila
"Worked like a charm, miss," one of the men bowed slightly.
"Told you," Leila said, stepping over to him. "He'd do anything for her."
She grinned evilly.
"He'd die for her."
Gwen hissed again.
Ow.
Ok, something was definitely wrong, but what could she do?
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
Mordred moaned slightly.
Vortigern got up, throwing his and Spike's stuff into a bag. Spike watched him in concern.
"What's up, luv?"
"Something's happened to Mordred. We have to go now."
He grabbed his bag and passed the other one to Spike, before ducking out of the tent.
"Hope Dem can 'port us there."
He started running across the campsite, Spike following him.
Gwen and Leila
Leila walked into the room with Mordred, and brought up his darkest fear.
"All this for her... and where is she now?"
Gwen hobbled to the car and hopped in, not knowing where she was going to go.
The Mavericks and Spike
"Oh god..." Mordred moaned.
He coughed hard, speckles of blood coating his lips as he tried to curl up in on himself.
Vortigern opened Demetria's tent and touched her foot. She woke up, blinking at him.
"Something's happened to Mordred. I need you to 'port us home."
"Rightio then..."
Demetria crawled out of the tent and touched Spike and Vortigern.
She 'ported them both to the mansion, then 'ported herself back to the campsite.
"God, where is he..." Vortigern murmured, closing his eyes.
Gwen and Leila
Leila laughed.
"Hurts, doesn't it?"
She bent down near him.
"And all this time, you're hoping she'll come save you, like you did for her. But she's not here, is she?"
Mordred and Vortigern
"F*ck. You. Bitch."
Mordred hit out at her weakly.
"I can't find him!" Vortigern wailed.
"He's blocked off, somehow!"
Leila
Leila swiftly moved back.
"No thanks... I don't know what you've caught off that little bitch wife of yours."
Mordred
Mordred rolled onto his stomach and got up on his hands and knees.
"I. Am. Going. To...kill you."
Leila
"Chain him."
Leila stepped back to let the men chain Mordred securely to the wall.
"Are you really now?"
She grinned.
"What if I kill you first? Or what if I bring your little wife in, kill her in front of you, then kill you."
Leila flicked the screen which was hanging above her, on. A shot of Gwen getting out of her car at the mansion.
"We're watching her, and those two, as well."
Another shot, this time of Vort and Spike.
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
"Oh god," Mordred said.
"What the hell do you *want*?"
Vortigern was having a minor fit of hysterics and Spike had to take him down to Hank to have him sedated.
Leila
Leila looked at him with a 'duh' look.
"We've been watching you for a long time, ever since you and the angel were just kiddies."
She flicked the channels to show Mordred and Vortigern as kids.
"We've noticed you've become quite powerful... and now a war is brewing, and we need you on our side."
Mordred
"Why don't you take your war and shove it up your arse, along with the flagpole that seems to be there, bitch?" Mordred said.
Ok, probably not the wisest thing to say, but he was pissed.
Leila
Leila laughed.
"Collar it."
A man stepped forward and slapped an inhibitor collar around his neck.
"Do you really want to annoy me?"
Leila flicked the channel again, to show Gwen in the labs, the first time she was taken, screaming in pain.
Mordred
Mordred snarled and surged forward against the chains.
"If you had *anything* to do with that, I'll kill you. Just like I killed everyone else there. You seem to know so much, you'll know what happens to people who hurt the ones I love."
His eyes started to glow.
Leila
"Down, puppy."
Leila shrugged.
"She was a test run. We needed to know how the disease would affect mutants. Also, we needed to know how you'd fight against it... and I must say, I was proud when I saw these tapes."
A shot of Mordred fighting.
"But now, of course... we know your moves. Shame."
Mordred
"I'll be happy to demonstrate them on you, finishing with you as a bleeding corpse," Mordred growled.
"And you have no idea what I'm capable of. Bitch."
Leila
Leila chuckled.
"You think I don't know... it's been awfully fun playing with you along the way... remember when your wife turned into an elf? It wasn't the result of bad magic as you all thought..."
Mordred and Spike
"You are so dead," Mordred promised.
"You think I'm going to stay missing for that long, bitch? I hope Spike lets me help kill you."
Spike dialled Gwen's home, and recieved no reply.
"Well, f*ck."
He bit his lip, then dialled the Hotel Hyperion.
Leila, Angel
"Oh we'll release you... once you're ours."
Leila smiled.
"I know you have possession issues, and quite frankly, so do we."
She laughed.
"You'll be our most powerful weapon."
Angel lifted the phone.
"We hope you're helpless."
"No, it's we help the helpless!" Cordelia hissed.
"Hello?"
Mordred
"F*ck you. I'm no one's," Mordred hissed.
"Princess? That you? Can you put my prancing nancy of a grand sire on?"
Leila
"Really?"
Leila pointed to the collar.
"So that's what... just for decoration?"
She flicked up the movie of Gwen and Mordred... and the taming incident.
Cordelia sighed and handed the phone to Angel.
"It's Spike. Which means, we're not gonna get paid."
Angel shook his head slightly and handed her a twenty dollar note.
She squealed and ran out.
"Spike?"
Mordred and Spike
"I like it, it goes with my hair," Mordred said derisevly.
"Pervert."
"Sodding wolf's gone missing. Vort's in hysterics cos he can't find him, I rang Spark's house and got no answer, the whelp's going insane as well, and I'm worried," Spike said bluntly.
"You heard anything?"
Leila and Angel
"Mmm, makes for interesting viewing."
Leila grinned.
"This was interesting viewing too..."
She flicked up Gwen getting raped.
Angel sighed.
"Gwen called in hysterics, she's at the mansion I think. But no, other than that, I have no idea."
Mordred and Spike
Mordred pulled on the chains again. One of the ones holding his wrist to the wall started to come out as he lunged for Leila, hands outstretched.
"YOU F*CKING BITCH!"
"Shit."
Spike rubbed his hand across his forehead.
"Keep an ear out. I sense something end of the world-y. Later, peaches."
He hung up, then dialled the Halliwells.
Leila and Phoebe
Leila stepped back and held a hand up as another dart hit Mordred in the side, just enough to subdue him.
"And look, she's all sad... bet you didn't know about this..."
A shot of Gwen carving into the soles of her feet, where Mordred wouldn't see them.
Phoebe lifted the phone to her ear.
"Myello?"
Mordred and Spike
"You are so dead," Mordred said in a deadly voice.
"They'll be finding your body for days. Weeks, even. I bet Spike knows how to make you live through it."
"Hey, this the witches?" Spike said bluntly.
"Seeing as how I picked Blondie's pocket to get the number."
Leila and Phoebe
"And somehow, I'm not worried."
Leila flicked up the shot of Gwen's current actions. She was in the mansion, watching the kids, crying deseperately.
"Sad Gwen. Awww."
"Yeah, who's this?" Phoebe asked.
Mordred and Spike
Mordred glared at her, eyes gold and glowing.
"You are so dead."
"This is Spike," the vampire drawled.
"You're friends of Sparks, yeah? Well, her husband's gone missing, his twin can't find him and there's general chaos. Can you do a scry spell or summat?"
Leila and Phoebe
"Still not worried."
Leila smirked slightly.
"Now... let's get on with it, shall we?"
Another dart to knock Mordred out.
"Yeah, sure. I'll get right on it now. I assume this is all in New York?"
Phoebe lifted the New York map up and pulled out the crystal, dangling it over the map slowly.
Mordred and Spike
Mordred slumped forward, eyes closed, a last snarl etched on his face.
"Well, I'd hope it's in New York," Spike said.
"Less he's been moved elsewhere. The prof's looking as well, but...best to have as many eyes looking as possible."
Leila and Phoebe
"Get him onto the table. You know the drill," Leila ordered as a group of men ran in.
Phoebe made some sort of grunting sound as a reply as the crystal darted to two different places on the map.
"Right... unclear right now."
Spike
"Well, sod," Spike said in frustration.
"Can you call back if you find him? I should go check on Sparks."
Halliwells
"Yeah, will do," Phoebe replied. She hung up and concentrated intently on the map, then called for Paige and Piper.
They tied Mordred down to the tables, and began their work, filling Mordred with a syrim to have his memories blocked.
Spike, Faolan and Mordred
Spike went to go find Gwen.
"Sparks?"
Faolan clung to her, crying silently.
Mordred's hands twitched slightly.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen hugged Faolan close and turned to look at Spike.
"You'll find him, right?" she asked desperately.
Leila used her telepathy to send images through Mordred's head... inserting false memories of him working for them.
Spike and Mordred
"Well, I rung peaches and those witches who are friends of yours," Spike said, sitting next to her.
"And wheels is looking too. One of them is sure to find him."
Mordred's eyelids fluttered as his brain processed the new infomation.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen nodded.
"Then they'll pay..."
Her eyes clouded angrily.
Leila smiled as she finished.
She did nice work.
He now wouldn't remember any of his former life, but just knew that they were enemies.
Spike and Mordred
"Oh yeah they will, ducks," Spike chuckled.
"They'll find out why I got my nickname. Multiple times."
Mordred started to wake up.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen wiped her eyes.
"Thanks."
Leila peered at him.
"Morning, Mordred."
Spike and Mordred
"S'ok, ducks," Spike said.
He place an arm around her shoulders carefully.
"We'll get him back."
"Morning...Leila," Mordred said, sitting up.
He winced, holding a hand to the back of his head.
"Someone get the number of the truck that hit me?"
Gwen and Leila
Gwen nodded.
"I know... just... worried, is all. How's Vort?"
Leila smiled.
"You were attacked by those damn mutants that have been giving us so much trouble," she supplied. "Vortigern Llewlyn and Gwen... Raiden."
Spike and Mordred
"Sedated," Spike said bluntly.
"He couldn't take it."
"Yeah, alright...mind getting this off now?" Mordred said, fingers plucking at the collar.
He noticed the wedding ring on his finger and frowned.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen sighed.
"Right... right... well I guess that's for the best."
Leila took his collar off, and then quickly inserted a memory of him being married to her.
Spike and Mordred
"God, I'm stressed," Spike said.
His fingers drummed against his knee.
"So, you alright, love?" Mordred purred, reaching out to touch her face gently.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen touched his shoulder lightly.
"Vort'll be alright..."
Leila went over and kissed him deeply.
"I managed to get out of there without harm... so, when would you like to go for an attack?"
Spike and Mordred
"I hope he is," Spike said.
"Dammit, mortals are so bloody fragile!"
"Hmm...now, comes to mind."
Mordred grinned and kissed her again.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen sighed.
"Look, do you wanna go kill something, and I'll watch over Vort."
Leila kissed him back, then pulled away.
"Come on, let's go... they're at that stupid mutant high."
Spike and Mordred
"No, s'ok, ducks," Spike said.
He laughed suddenly.
"Wonder what Scott's gonna do when he realises two of the people who are meant to be there have disappeared?"
"Let's kill them all," Mordred said.
Gwen and Leila
"Interestingly, I don't care," Gwen said.
Leila nodded and cracked her knuckles.
"Shall we head over now? Make them all bleed?"
Spike and Mordred
Spike sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"We'll get them back."
Mordred grinned as he got up slowly.
"Or do you want to have some other fun first, love?"
Gwen and Leila
"Yeah... we will."
Gwen sighed.
"Dammit."
Leila smiled, but inside she was disgusted.
"Maybe later... we can sleep in their blood."
Mordred and Spike
"I'm going to go check on Vort," Spike said.
"Will you be alright?"
"Sounds like a plan, cariad," Mordred said.
He smiled at her, then stretched.
"Let's arm up then."
Gwen and Leila
"I'll be fine," Gwen said, keeping her voice even. "I have to go to the hospital, but ring my cell when you hear something."
Leila smiled back.
"Let's go."
She walked over to the wall and pressed a few numbers onto the keypad, and waited for the compartment to open, revealing a range of weapons.
"Have a preference?"
Mordred and Spike
"I can do that, Sparks," Spike said before he went down to the medlabs again.
"Sword," Mordred said, lifting one out.
He hefted it thoughtfully, then frowned.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen sighed again and rubbed her eyes tiredly. She looked at Fao.
"I'm going to have to leave you here for a bit... is that ok?"
Leila selected the broad sword.
"What's wrong?"
Mordred and Faolan
"S'ok," Faolan said in a trembling voice.
"I just thought I remembered something..." Mordred said slowly.
"But I can't quite remember what."
Gwen and Leila
Gwen kissed his head and dropped him back off at the baby sitters, and decided to sit with him for a bit.
"I can postpone maybe an hour, you wanna show me where Eavie and Bry are too, Fao?"
Leila smiled nervously.
"Probably a side effect from the injury."
Mordred and Faolan
"This way," Faolan said, leading her through to where some cribs were set up.
"See? All the baby stuff."
"Probably..." Mordred said.
He couldn't shake the feeling that there was something he should remember, something important. He executed a parry, then slid the sword into a sheath he attached to a belt around his waist. He frowned again, almost remembering something, then shook his head.
"Let's go then."
He took her arm.
"Do you want to bring anyone with us?"
Gwen and Leila
Gwen followed Faolan and smiled sadly when she saw Eavan and Bryant.
Leila shook her head.
"We'll have back up, but I think you and I, making a lot of mess, will be quite fun."
Mordred and Faolan
"Hey, twins," Faolan said, hanging over Eavan's crib.
"Oh, so true, so true, my love," Mordred said.
He teleported them both to the mansion.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen took Eavan and Bryant out and sat down on the large armchair.
"Where's Da?" Bryant asked.
"He's... he's busy."
Leila cracked her knuckles and sensed out Gwen and Vort.
"She's on this level... he's down."
Mordred and Spike
Faolan sat down on the floor at her feet, then looked up.
"No, he's here...but it's not him."
"Do you have a preference, or should we just kill her first and work our way down?" Mordred asked.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen looked up and put Eavan and Bryant back in their cribs.
"What do you mean, Fao?" she asked, her skin crackling with electricity.
"Kill her first..." Leila licked his neck. "You kill her, and I'll watch."
Mordred and Faolan
"It's him but it's not him," Faolan said.
"Don't trust him."
"I'll kill her for you, love," Mordred said.
He 'ported them both and kissed her deeply as they appeared.
"Fast or slow, cariad?"
Gwen and Leila
"Mordred?" Gwen said in disbelief, looking away as she saw him with Leila.
"Slow, I think," Leila replied, smiling smugly at Gwen.
"Fao, get out of here," Gwen said.
Mordred and Faolan
Faolan shifted and hissed at Mordred.
"You won't hurt Mum!"
"Didn't say she had kids, love," Mordred said.
"I don't like killing kids."
Gwen and Leila
Leila shrugged.
"Then I'll kill the kids."
"Fao, run!" Gwen cried.
"Yeah, Fao, run..." Leila taunted. "Run so you don't see your mom die... but wait... she's not your mom, is she?"
"Shut up," Gwen replied, her voice low.
Mordred and Faolan
Mordred shrugged slightly and drew his sword.
"Works for me."
Faolan crouched, a rumbling warning growl working up through his throat. He hit Mordred with fear, and his father staggered slightly then straightened up.
"Empath. Hmm. Well, I'll kill her slowly and you can suffer through her death, how's that whelp?"
Another frown flickered across his face.
Gwen and Leila
"Really don't wanna do this, but Mordred... this isn't you."
Gwen flicked a spark at him.
Leila waved at Faolan.
"How many ways can I skin this little cat?"
Mordred
"Several," Mordred suggested.
"That hurt."
Gwen and Leila
"Mordred, what's happened to you?" Gwen asked, raising her hands again.
"Nothing's wrong with him," Leila replied.
"Didn't ask you, bitch."
Mordred
"Well, there's this little thing where you and this guy...Vortigern, did you say, cariad? Tried to kill me," Mordred said.
"You didn't suceed, so I'm going to kill you now."
Gwen and Leila
"What the f*ck did you do to him?" Gwen looked at Mordred with pleading eyes. "Mordred, this isn't you... I'm your wife and Vortigern is your twin, please, you have to listen."
"She's such a little liar," Leila said, bending down and grinning evilly at Faolan, then starting to let his nightmares manifest.
Mordred and Spike
"Yeah right, lady," Mordred said dismissively.
Faolan wailed, cowering back then he leapt for Leila, fastening his teeth and claws into her legs.
"Sparks, I...bloody hell, Wolf, who's the bitch?" Spike said, standing in the doorway in shock.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen continued to look at Mordred, not turning to look at Spike.
"It's not him... I don't know who she is."
"Darkling, very nice to meet you," Leila replied, kicking Faolan off her leg and bringing his nightmares up at full force.
Gwen shot a stronger spark at Mordred.
Mordred, Faolan and Spike
Faolan screamed, form flickering wildly.
Spike started forward, eyes gleaming gold and face ridging.
"I don't know what you're about, that's your son, wolf!"
Mordred looked puzzled.
"Now, I know you must be delusional, vampire."
He brought his sword around and sank it into Spike's gut. The vampire snarled, pulling the sword out then breaking it over his knee.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen roundhouse kicked Leila away from Faolan.
"What did you do to him?" she demanded, holding her hand out and sparking on Leila.
"F*ck off," Leila replied. "Mordred, kill her!"
Mordred and Spike
"Soon as I dispatch the vampire, cariad," Mordred said, fighting with Spike.
Spike threw him across the room and Mordred went flying backwards until he 'ported behind Spike to kick the vampire in the head. He snapped a leg off a chair and staked Spike through the back.
Mordred gaped as Spike didn't dust.
"What the...?"
"See, this is where losing your memory becomes a bitch," Spike said, pulling the stake out.
"I hope you forgive me for this later, Wolf."
He sent the bloody wood through Mordred's leg and the teen yelled in pain.
Gwen and Leila
"MORDRED!" Gwen yelled.
"Fine, if you won't do it," Leila snarled at Gwen and twisted her hands, bringing Gwen's nightmares to life, and while Gwen was distracted, Leila plunged the sword through her abdomen. She looked at Mordred.
Oops, time to get out of there.
Leila waved and skittered off, leaving Gwen to fall onto the ground, a pool of blood expanding around her.
Mordred and Spike
"Oh my god," Mordred said slowly.
Something in his mind seemed to crack and he fell to the ground, jerking spasmodically.
Spike cursed, then opted for the more serious looking case. He picked Gwen up carefully, wadding cloth around the wound as he bolted for the medlabs.
Gwen and Leila
Gwen's head fell back and her eyes half closed as she moaned in pain softly.
"Mordred... I..."
Mordred and Spike
"He'll be alright, Sparks," Spike said soothingly.
He hit the lift button and entered quickly.
"HANK!"
Gwen and Leila
"But he's... he's hurt..."
Gwen convulsed slightly and gagged.
"He needs me..."
Spike
"Yeah, well, he'll have my hide if I didn't get you to the sawbones first," Spike said.
"He's a strong lad. HANK!"
Spike entered the medlabs and placed Gwen carefully on a table.
"Oh my stars and garters!"
Hank set about administering an aneasthetic.
Gwen
Gwen's eyes rolled back in her head as she passed out.
"DA! MAMA!" Eavan and Bryant cried.
Faolan, Spike and Vortigern
Faolan cowered into a corner as Xavier wheeled into the room slowly. The professor sighed as he looked at the jerking Mordred.
"Let us find the one who did this then..."
He closed his eyes and started looking for Leila, plaguing her with whispers.
"What have you done? Where are you going? Who are you? Where are you going? There's blood on your clothes. What have you done?"
Hank started to stitch up Gwen's wound neatly. Vortigern shook, fingers curling and uncurling. Spike put a bloody hand on his forehead, streaking the golden blond hair with red.
"Sorry, luv...I tried."
Leila
Leila paused in her running and held her head slightly.
"Go away."
Mordred and Spike
"What are you doing? Where are you running to now? Who will take you in? You're alone, alone..."
Xavier kept up his disquieting whispers.
Spike walked back up to the room and picked up the now unconscious and still Mordred. He spared Xavier a glance, then went back down to the labs.
Leila
"Never alone!"
Leila put her hands over her ears.
"NOT ALONE!" she shrieked.
Xavier
"You're alone, all alone...you can't come back, you can't come back, you have no home, no friends, no family...no one who cares..."
Xavier frowned slightly, concentrating.
Leila
"Go... away."
Leila shook her head, trying to shake the whispers away as she continued walking, but slower this time.
Xavier
"I'll be with you until you die...where are you going? What are you doing? You have blood on your clothes. Where's the man who came with you? Alone, you're alone..."
Xavier pursed his lips slightly.
Leila
Leila shook her head and gasped out.
"Goawaygoawaygoawaynotalonenotalonehewasweakjustweaksoveryweak."
Xavier
"There's no one walking with you, you're alone," Xavier said, almost cruelly.
"No one loves you..."
He had to make her drop her shields just a bit more...
Leila
"Who are you? Get out of my head," Leila whispered.
She felt some of her telepathic blocks breaking slightly, and struggled to rebuild them.
Spike
"All alone except for me...poor little girl, is this too hard? You've got blood on your clothes, that's dirty. That's not nice. All alone. No one cares if you make it out of here or not...so why don't you just stop?"
Spike brought the twins and Faolan down into the labs as Hank finished stitching Gwen up. Lance looked up from where he had attached Mordred to some monitors.
"They'll be right, mate," the Australian said soothingly.
"They better be," Spike said.
Leila
I can't..." But she had stopped. Leila's legs refused to move.
"MAMA! DA!" Eavan and Bryant wailed.
Spike
"Why did you do this? Why? Was it worth the pain? No one loves you, no one cares, you're alone, all alone..."
Xavier kept up his intimidation tactics.
"They'll be alright, nippers," Spike said uncomfortably.
Bloody hell, what did he know about kids?
Gwen and Leila
"SHUT UP!"
Leila's shields dropped completely and she crouched on the ground.
Gwen moaned softly.
Xavier and Hank
Xavier moved in like a hawk.
"Now let's see what type of person attacks the students under my care..."
"She should come round soon," Hank said, washing his paws.
Leila
Leila whimpered slightly and held her hands over her ears.
Gwen coughed slightly, and her eyes fluttered.
Spike
"Why did you come here?" Xavier demanded.
"What was your purpose? What group do you belong to?"
"What about the wolf?" Spike asked.
Hank shrugged.
"Physically, there's nothing wrong with him..."
Gwen and Leila
"She Who Outshines The Sun," Leila replied evenly.
Gwen's eyes opened.
"Mordred?"
Spike
Xavier processed the infomation and blinked slightly.
"Why them? Why here? Why now?"
"He's out cold still," Spike said.
Gwen and Leila
"Why not?" Leila asked. "Because now was the perfect moment, and She wanted it so."
Gwen nodded weakly and sighed.
Spike
"Why?" Xavier demanded.
There had to be a reason. Even Magneto had his reasons. Or someone as wild as Sabretooth.
"He'll be alright," Spike said.
"He's strong as an ox, is Wolf."
He turned worried eyes on Vortigern who was as still and pale as death now.
Gwen and Leila
"I don't ask, I just carry out the orders," Leila spat.
Gwen squeezed her eyes shut.
"How's Vort?"
Spike
"Then how do I find the one who gives you the orders?"
"I don't know," Spike said.
He couldn't break down, he couldn't. All he wanted to do was go get pissed as a newt and kill something. But he had to stay, had to make sure Vort would be alright.
Gwen and Leila
"If she wants to be found, she will be found," Leila replied.
"It's not as easy as you think... and she will not be defeated... her hour is upon us."
Gwen groaned slightly and tried to sit up.
"Ok, ow."
Xavier and Hank
"We have won before," Xavier said.
"What makes you think that we won't again?"
"Don't sit up!" Hank insisted, rushing over.
Gwen and Leila
"Because you don't understand Her power."
Leila laughed bitterly.
"She will kill you, one by one, all in pursuit of Her key."
Gwen nodded.
"Ok... I'm going to stop wearing that sign that says 'Victim - stab me!'."
Spike
"Why does she want him so badly? What purpose could Gwen and Mordred serve that she would send you after them so viciously?"
Xavier continued on his hunt for infomation.
"Might be worth a try, ducks," Spike said.
Gwen and Leila
"Liabilities... the Wolf, the Lightning and the Angel... together they'll be strong enough to fight her."
Leila coughed.
"But not win. Never to win."
Gwen settled her head on the pillow.
"Mordred..."
Spike
"Who would be then?" Xavier pressed.
He had to find out.
"When the prof finishes reaming out the bitch, he'll come down here and I bet he'll know what's wrong," Spike said.
Gwen and Leila
"The three who are one, the one who are three..."
Leila laughed again.
"The protector of the key will fail... she thinks she holds him safe, but there are many fears in her mind, and through that, she is weak."
Xavier
"Come to me," Xavier ordered.
"Walk back through the school to me."
Gwen and Leila
Leila got up and walked back through the school, knowing this was very wrong, but not being able to fight it.
Xavier
Xavier steepled his fingers together. Obviously, they could not let her lose. And while it irked him to have to restrain her...as Magneto had remarked so many times, this was a war. And he intented to see his students survive it.
"What do you know of your...employer's aims?"
Leila
"If She does not wish you to know, She will not tell you."
Leila shrugged slightly.
"She told me to find the three entwined, and I did. The three who could not live without each other."
Xavier
Xavier thought on that. Something didn't quite ring true about the scenario...but she was sincere in what she said.
"How long have you been watching them? Us?"
Leila
"For a long time."
Leila smiled.
"I am older than I appear. She gave me orders a long time ago... to keep watch for the three, and I found the two... then the Lightning came to make three."
She shrugged again.
"The Apples of the Sun proved they were the right ones."
Xavier
"Are you certain?" Xavier insisted.
"How can you be sure that they are the Three?"
Gwen and Leila
"Three who cannot live apart..."
Leila shrugged.
"The Wolf and the Angel cannot survive without each other... and the Wolf would die without the Lightning. Simple equation."
Xavier
Xavier decided to keep his suspicions to himself. If Gwen could be part of it, then why not Spike? Mistaken identity, he was guessing...but any scrap of infomation helped.
He opened his eyes as Leila entered the room, eyes blank.
"Tell me about yourself, from your earliest memories?"
Leila
Leila shrugged.
"Been around for awhile, two hundred years or so... been working for She Who Outshines The Sun for most of that time."
She paused.
"My power was one of value to Her."
Xavier
"I can see how it would be..." Xavier said thoughtfully.
"What is your most powerful memory of her?"
Leila
Leila rubbed her cheek.
"When She appeared to me the first time... I was reluctant to work for her at first..."
An ironic smile.
"Reservations about being evil."
Xavier
"And now that isn't a problem?" Xavier said.
He paused for thought for a moment.
"When was the first time you killed someone, and enjoyed it?"
Leila
Leila shrugged.
"Maybe... 5th time?"
She shrugged again.
"After awhile, it started to fascinate me... people in pain, the taste of tears..."
Xavier
Xavier shook his head slightly.
"I think it is time you went to sleep now. Come with me."
He rolled out of the room and headed towards the elevator to the lower levels. They had a security room down there he could put her in for the time being.
Leila
Leila obediently followed him, not even bothering to fight it.
She was tired.
So very tired.
Spike
Spike whirled as the elevator came down and Xavier rolled out, followed by Leila.
"Bitch! Xavier, you can't be serious..."
"Until I am sure I have found out everything she knows, she will stay here," Xavier said softly but firmly.
"There are events she has enlightened me to that are quite disturbing."
Gwen and Leila
Leila kept padding after the Professor.
Gwen hissed as she saw her.
Xavier
Xavier opened the door to the holding cell and directed Leila inside. He then carefully and regretfully closed the links to her talent with his mind. She was too dangerous with them. He locked the door, imprisoning her inside, then withdrew entirely.
Leila
Leila shook her head slightly.
"No!"
Spike
"Suck it up, bitch," Spike sneered.
He flashed his demon face at her, growling.
"You're lucky the prof is so humanitarian. Or you'd be screaming about now."
Xavier wheeled over to Mordred and placed his hands on either side of the teen's head.
"Not *only* did you piss me off, Layer," Spike said, jerking his head at Gwen.
"And I'm bad enough, the name's Spike or William the Bloody. If you know anything bout vamps 'n demons, you'll know who I am. But you pissed off Sparks too, and that's just not smart."
Leila
Leila nodded.
"Spike... as in Spike and Drusilla?"
Spike
"Oh yeah, ducks," Spike said, almost gleefully.
"That's me. Me and me dark princess."
Leila
"Mmm, heard of you... was watching when Angelus went soft too."
Leila smiled slightly.
Spike
"Oh yeah, the great prancing poof of a grandsire," Spike sneered.
"Sodding disgrace, 'e is."
His face rippled back into his human features and he put his hands flat against the glass, grinning cockily at her.
"Course, I have a soul now too. But I didn't get soft. I'm still the f*cking Big Bad, baby, and you better believe it. You hurt my Mate, and I'm gonna rip off your head and piss down the gaping hole. When wheels over there gets his act together and you're wrung dry and put in the trash. I'll be waiting. And that's if the Wolf and Sparks even leave anything for me to hurt."
Leila
Leila smirked.
"She'll not be in condition to fight... I've had them break the Storm. And she's broken."
Spike
"Highly unlikely, pet," Spike said.
"Sparks is just that little bit stronger then that, ya see. And even if she doesn't..."
He grinned a truly evil, bloodthirsty grin.
"I'm quite willing to make sure you get the end you deserve."
Leila
Leila laughed.
"Right... you don't see what goes on in her mind."
Spike
Spike chuckled darkly.
"I can't wait to see you fry."
He turned from the glass, duster snapping around his ankles as he lit up a cigarette.
"How's going, wheels?"
"Fine, Spike," Xavier said in a distant voice.
"Good, cos I want to shag my boy stupid."
Gwen and Leila
Leila raised an eyebrow, then sat down, leaning her head against the wall.
Gwen moaned softly.
Spike
"See, that's another reason why I'm pissed," Spike said, pacing like a tiger in a cage.
"She's cut into valuable shagging time. Bitch."
Xavier chuckled dryly. Hank polished his glasses. If he hadn't been covered in blue fur, he would have been bright red.
Gwen
"Mordred?" Gwen whispered.
"Is he ok? I wan to see him... please..."
Xavier and Hank
"Physically, he's fine," Hank said.
"Minor contusions, a broken finger."
"His mind, however..." Xavier murmured.
Gwen
Gwen frowned.
"But you can fix it, right?"
She squeezed her hands into fists.
"I'm going to kill her," she said simply.
Spike
"Get in line, Sparky," Spike said.
"I think Wolf is going to have some serious talks with her. You *don't* threaten a Wolf's pack. Even I know that's just flaming stupid."
He slammed his hand against the door of the cell and looked impressed when it held.
"Or a demon's Mated."
Gwen
"We'll kill her together," Gwen replied.
"The way we killed Kate."
Spike
Xavier looked up sharply while Hank polished his glasses even more furiously.
"You what?"
"Whoa, go Sparky!" Spike said, laughing.
Gwen
Gwen looked apathetic.
"She attacked me."
MSpike
"Go electrogirl!" Spike cheered.
"Little bitch had it coming."
Xavier looked at her calmly.
"We will discuss this later."
"What's to discuss? Whore got her comeuppance. She was a steelplated, firebreathing bitch."
Gwen
Gwen shrugged.
"Whatever, but if you ask me, we did the world a favour."
She made a move to sit up again.
Mordred and Spike
"Don't sit up!" Hank said, rushing over to push her back down firmly.
"Please! You don't want to tear the stitches."
Mordred stirred slightly under Xavier's hands as the telepath bent back to his task.
"Ding dong, the bitch is dead," Spike half sang.
Gwen
Gwen sighed.
"Stupid stitches. Stupid bitch."
She snarled.
"Anyway, no one noticed she was gone."
Spike
"I did," Xavier said softly.
"Well, you're the only bloody one," Spike said.
"And you're probably the only one who cares now."
Gwen
"Why care?"
Gwen closed her eyes.
"She attacked me, not once, but twice. I let her live the first time."
Spike
"You should have come to me," Xavier said, then took his hands away as Mordred sat up with a gasp.
Spike flew to Vortigern's side as the blond twin sat up as well, blinking hard.
Gwen
"Mordred!" Gwen cried.
"Dammit, let me sit up."
Mordred and Spike
"No, lay down please," Hank insisted.
"What happened?" Mordred asked, dazedly.
"Bitch over there screwed you over," Spike said.
Mordred's head swung round and as he looked at Leila, several things clicked into place.
"Dead girl walking, we have some talking to do."
Leila
Leila grinned as she got to her feet.
"Morning, baby."
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
Mordred slid off the stretcher and walked over to Gwen, ignoring Leila for the moment. He took her hands in his and kissed them, looking at her urgently.
"God, love, I'm so sorry, my angel..."
Spike let Vortigern get to his feet. The slimmer twin made his way over to stare at Leila steadily.
"Do we kill her now?" He asked Spike without turning his head.
"When the prof has what he wants, we can kill her," Spike said.
"And it's gonna take a long time, ducks, a very, very long time."
Gwen and Leila
Gwen smiled weakly at Mordred.
"Hey, I'm ok... it's ok, amin liy."
"Yeah, she forgives you, how sweet. Not so long ago, she would've killed you," Leila called.
Mordred
"And I think I'd be glad to let her do it, bitch," Mordred said.
"Love you, my Gwen. I'm so sorry."
Gwen and Leila
"It's ok..."
Gwen whimpered quietly.
"Just... just don't leave me again... and..."
"And what, Gwen? Don't kiss me again?" Leila grinned evilly. "He can be very naughty, can't he?"
Mordred
"God, shut the hell up before I tear out your tongue," Mordred snarled at her, then looked back at Gwen.
"I didn't...it wasn't me."
Gwen and Leila
Gwen nodded slightly.
"I know... I know."
"Still hurts, doesn't it?" Leila chimed in, ignoring everyone, and focusing on making Gwen crack. "He's a good kisser... he said such naughty things too. Did it hurt when you felt him break that connection?"
Mordred and Vortigern
"Do you want me to bring you her heart, love?" Mordred asked.
"I'll rip it out of her chest for you."
"And nothing says love like psychopathic death threats," Vortigern said.
Spike chuckled and hugged him before pashing him quite severely.
"You should know, luv, you're the one that's Mated to a demon."
Gwen and Leila
"Yes," Gwen replied.
"Somehow, still not worried. You kill me, so what? You still need to deal with The Burning Sun."
Leila giggled.
"Hey, Gwen, show him your feet... wait, show him where I stabbed ya... hope kids aren't still on the wishlist."
Mordred and Spike
Mordred kissed Gwen lingeringly.
"Love you, cariad. I think not listening is the best policy here."
"You'd be surprised what the Beast can do," Spike said chattily to Leila.
"He's an ace doc."
Gwen and Leila
Gwen kissed him back, and squeezed his hand.
"Love you..."
"Awwwww, so sweet," Leila scoffed. "Anyway, I hope she gets preggers from the raping incident. Hey Wolf, wanna have the video as a momento?"
Mordred and Vortigern
"Oh, thanks for reminding me of that," Mordred said.
"I still have to kill that guy. Damn, where does all my spare time go? But I think-"
"You should be-" Vortigern continued, staring at Leila.
"Quiet now, because-"
"You're *really* starting-"
"To piss me off," Mordred finished, turning to face her.
Both twins stared at her for a moment and Mordred's eyes flickered into gold as a pale light surrounded Vortigern's head, turning his blond hair into shotgold. They blinked once in unison, tilting their heads at exactly the same angle. Then they put their hands out and made a twisting movement.
Leila's mouth snapped shut.
"Now-"
"Be-"
"Quiet."
Gwen and Leila
Gwen closed her eyes.
"Ow."
Leila chuckled slightly, as best she could.
Poor Gwen was hurt...
Who cared?
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
Mordred turned back and the glows faded.
"How you feeling love?"
Vortigern leant on Spike's arm and leant up to kiss him.
"I love you, Spike."
"Love you too, pet," Spike said.
Vortigern looked at Leila and shook his head slightly.
"And you have no idea what love is, you sad stunted excuse for a human being."
Gwen and Leila
"Sore..."
Gwen sighed and whimpered again.
"Needed you..."
Mordred
"I'm sorry, love," Mordred said.
He smoothed her hair back from her forehead.
"If I could have been there, I would have been."
Gwen and Leila
"I know."
Gwen sighed.
"Don't be sorry, it's ok. I'm not angry at you."
She reached down and gingerly touched her stitches.
"Dammit, I hate my body. I'm getting a new one. An undamaged one. One that can't be hurt."
Mordred, Faolan and Spike
"You figure out how to do it, you could make a mint," Spike said.
Mordred kissed Gwen again tenderly.
"I love you, and I'm so sorry. Sorry, Fao."
Wasn't you," Faolan said definetly.
Gwen and Leila
"It's ok," Gwen reassured him. "I love you too."
Leila made some sort of snorting noise.
Spike
Spike looked at her and smiled unpleasntly.
"Keep doing that and we'll find out how well you do without a windpipe, bitch. We done here?"
Hank came over and checked the state of Gwen's healing.
"You're free to go," he said.
Gwen and Leila
"Me?" Gwen asked hopefully.
Leila looked like she was going to say something, then just grinned evilly, looking at Gwen.
Mordred
"Yes," Hank said, smiling slightly.
"No strenuous exercise."
"I'll see that she doesn't," Mordred said.
"Good."
Gwen
Gwen smiled.
"Yay."
Then she pouted.
"Awwww, no strenuous exercise, Mordred."
She paused.
"Can I sit up?"
Mordred
"Yes," Hank said.
"And walk. *Slowly*," he emphasized.
"Mordred, if you would give Gwen a hand down..."
"Sure," Mordred said.
He offered Gwen his hand.
Gwen
Gwen took Mordred's hand slowly.
"Damn, I was hoping to go for a run."
She started to try and sit up.
"Owie owie owie."
Mordred
"Careful," Hank fussed.
Mordred helped her sit up slowly.
"You alright, love?"
Gwen
"I'm fine..."
Gwen breathed heavily.
"By the way, I think the Professor's gonna talk to us about Kate."
She smiled slightly.
Mordred
"Yes, he is," Xavier said calmly as he moved towards the lift.
"But it can wit till you recover."
"Glad to hear it," Mordred said with an edge of menace in his voice.
Gwen
Gwen kissed Mordred's cheek.
"I really need to go home."
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
"Let's go then," Mordred said.
Vortigern sighed slightly.
"I'll take you guys back tomorrow."
"Sure, Wolf, that'll be fine," Spike said.
Mordred nodded at them all, then disappeared with Gwen and the children.
Gwen
Gwen winced slightly.
"Thanks."
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Mordred
"S'alright, love," Mordred said.
"Let's get you to bed, so you can rest."
Gwen
"Ok..."
Gwen moved slowly towards the bed and eventually was settled under the covers.
"Mordred... can you stay with me?"
Mordred and Faolan
"Sure, I'll just get the kids settled," Mordred said.
Faolan was reglued to the ps2, and Mordred put the twins down for a nap. He rejoined Gwen in their bedroom and lay down carefully on the bed.
Gwen
Gwen reached tentatively for Mordred's hand.
"Needed you."
Mordred
"I'm so sorry..." Mordred whispered.
Gwen
Gwen looked at him with loving eyes.
"It doesn't matter, I forgive you, love."
She brought his hand up to her lips and kissed it.
Mordred
"I'm so sorry..."
Mordred squeezed her hand lightly, eyes haunted.
"I would have...I would have killed you, Gwen."
Gwen
"But it wasn't you, and I know that."
Gwen moved over painfully and kissed him.
"I know that you'd never hurt me. That wasn't you."
Mordred
"God, I'm so sorry..."
Mordred kissed her back carefully.
Gwen
Gwen squeezed his hand and thought for a minute, then sang against his lips.
"Some day, some how, I'm gonna make it alright, but not right now..."
Mordred
"I love you," Mordred murmured.
Gwen
"I love you back," Gwen replied softly.
She kissed him again.
Mordred
Mordred sighed and held her carefully.
"They'd been watching us for a very long time..."
Gwen and Leila
"Well, that's somewhat disturbing."
Gwen closed her eyes.
"It's a bit pervy really."
Mordred
"That's what I told her," Mordred said, then shook his head.
"It's all blurred..."
Gwen
"It's ok..."
Gwen ran a hand gently down Mordred's face.
"What else can you remember?"
Mordred
"Not much...I mouthed off, threatened her a few times..."
Mordred chuckled slightly.
"The way I do..."
Gwen
"Part of your charm," Gwen told him.
"But why us?"
Mordred
"I don't know...maybe Xavier found out?"
Mordred shrugged slightly.
"She said a war was coming..."
Gwen
Gwen sighed, and cracked her knuckles.
"More war... let's move to another planet."
Mordred
"Fantabulous idea, love," Mordred said.
"Should we just move to Middle Earth and be done with it?"
Gwen
"I think I could really enjoy the hobbit lifestyle... eat a lot, drink a lot, play a lot."
Gwen smiled faintly.
Mordred
"Yeah."
Mordred kissed her lightly.
Gwen
Gwen sighed.
"But you're alright?"
Mordred
"I'm fine. You came off a lot worse," Mordred said.
Gwen
"Yeah, because I seem to have this beacon that attracts danger."
Gwen rolled her eyes slightly and squeezed his hand.
Mordred
"I can't wait for the prof to give the all clear," Mordred said.
"I'm going to enjoy killing her."
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"And I'll be at your side..."
She sniffed softly.
"Please don't leave me again."
Mordred
"I didn't want to this time," Mordred said.
He nuzzled her neck softly.
"Just go to sleep and rest, love. You need to heal."
Gwen
Gwen touched his cheek.
"And so do you."
She closed her eyes.
"Stay with me?"
Mordred
"Always," Mordred said.
He kissed her cheek and closed his eyes.
