Aaralyn and Thackery

Aaralyn hummed softly to herself straightening up her house. During the month her life had been stressful, her memory of Max had been plaguing her she would dismiss it whenever it entered her memory.

"He can't do anything drastic. I said I was outside of Tulsa. He'll look though I'm sure. After all no one in this town knows me except a few people. Even that is on a rare occasion." She murmured grabbing a duster, and dusting off the coffee table. She groaned hearing the doorbell ring.

"Come in Thacks its open!" Aaralyn yelled not stopping her dusting as she heard the door opened.

"Someday you'll say come in and it won't be me." Thackery said in amusement as he opened the door.

"Doubtful of that Thacks you're the only one who stops and visits." She said hurriedly putting the duster down and sat down on the couch.

Thackery went and sat down beside her.

"You seem edgy today, something else happen while I was gone?" Thackery asked in curiosity.

Aaralyn shook her head. "Nothing out of the ordinary, just doing some cleaning and thinking; you know the normal things I usually do."

Thackery sighed." Aara, you've been sort of sarcastic lately. You're normally cautious and serious, not rude and sarcastic."

Aaralyn rolled her eyes." Pardon me for thinking dear Thackery, I'll try to avoid it and become more serious." She bowed to him. Thackery put a hand to his forehead and shook his head slightly.

Aaralyn sighed." Sorry Thackery*I've not been myself. I'll cool it."

Thackery looked to her stereo and took the control from the table flipping it on. Soft music filled the air.

"Your too tense, come on loosen up." Thackery sighed grabbing the duster from her hand, and placing his in hers.

"This is one way." Thackery offered as he seemed unsure by the look in her eyes.

"I have work to do Thackery." Aaralyn said tugging her hand out from his and took her duster back.

Thackery sighed and sat down." Why won't you let me get close!? What have you got to lose?" Thackery exclaimed exasperated. Aaralyn glared at him.

"Out! Out! OUT!" Aaralyn screamed tossing her head to meet his confused and shocked eyes. She gave a growl as she slammed her duster down and went into her room slamming the door behind her not bothering to see if Thackery left or not.

Thackery raised his eyebrows." Damn*that was weird, what the heck is up with her!?" Thackery wondered out loud getting up from the chair he had sat in and walked toward the door still highly confused.
