Christina, Sabretooth, Victory & Blakesley.
Sabretooth growled softly as he checked the address in his hand against the number on the house. Yeah, this was it. He couldn't believe he was working for this man. But a job's a job...he'd tear his head from his body after he had the money.
Victory blinked up at him, green eyes solemn as they got out of the car he'd stolen.
"When we're in there...you don't say a word, alright?" he growled at her.
"Yes, Dad."
"Don't draw attention to yourself, don't make a noise. In fact, go cat now and climb into my shoulder. Not a sound," he warned her as she shifted and climbed up his furs to his broad shoulder.
"Not a sound."
"Good."
Sabretooth went up to the door and knocked.
"I'll get it," Blakesley said, rising from his workstation.
He went to the door and opened it, leaving the chain on. When he saw who it was, he closed the door again and slid the chain off. He gathered himself, and opened the door to let the mutant in.
Sabretooth kept his face blank, smelling blood, fear, pain and rage painting the house. He had smelled it outside...but it was becoming more and more intense with every step he took into the building.
Victory shivered slightly, her tail whisking his furs into ruffled waves.
Blakesley walked past his father to the room and opened it.
Sabretooth's eyes darkened even further and he licked his lips unconsciously. God, it smelled good...a soft growl rumbled up through his chest.
Christina raised her head wearily to see Blakesley enter and dropped her head again.
Sabretooth ducked, the door not quite high enough for him and looked around. A guy with black hair strung up by his arms in the middle of the room, and a woman of Indian, or possibly African descent restrained against a st Andrew's cross. And the blood smell just pulsing at him, overlaid with a deep abiding fear...
Blakesley Snr
Blakesley's father looked up as his son and Sabretooth walked past, then rose from his chair.
That was rather rude of Kaleb not to introduce them...
He followed them to the room and stood in the doorway.
"He is here to fetch Miss Terry?" he asked his son softly.
Sabretooth, Victory & Blakesley.
"Yes," Blakesley said.
"This is Sabretooth. Sabretooth, my father, Isaac Blakesley."
Sabretooth nodded briefly.
"So, terms?"
"I want you to take the woman and look after her until she bears and weans the child she is bearing," Blakesley said.
"And I will know if it's the right child or not. You can dispose of her after that."
Sabretooth yawned.
"No probs. Money? I don't like not getting paid."
"There will be no difficulties with that."
Sabretooth nodded and stepped up to Christian, studying him, then chuckled softly.
"I know you. Of you. How'd you wind up wih Christian Thomas?"
"A variety of things..."
"There's a bounty for him from the YIRAAS. Just capture though, not kill."
Sabretooth's lip curled slightly and he turned away. Victory gripped his furs closer, green eyes blinking at Christian.
Blakesley noticed her.
"You keep a cat?"
"It...amuses me," Sabretooth growled, baring his fangs.
Christian & Blakesley Snr
Christian shook some hair out of his eyes.
"Pity hardly anyone's heard of you before," he practically sneered, twisting his wrists slightly.
"Ignore him," Blakesley's father tutted, leaving the room to fetch something.
Christian scowled after him.
Christina, Sabretooth & Blakesley.
"We don't hunt in the same circles," Sabretooth snarled at Christian.
"You mustn't pay much attention to the news then," Blakesley said.
"Sabretooth is part of the Brotherhood of Mutants."
"*Was* part of it," Sabretooth corrected warningly.
"Was?"
"I don't like working for people who screw me over," Sabretooth said bluntly.
"You have restraints so I can transport her? And you know, clothes would probably be good."
Christina watched Sabretooth carefully. Ok. Scary, big, hairy man. With a kitten. Paradoxical.
Christian & Blakesley Snr
"Well as if I, or anyone I socialize with, would give a flying $#! + about the 'Brotherhood of Mutants'. We're only interested in one thing from them," Christian wiped all expression from his face.
Blakesley's father returned to the room, seeming to have nothing in his hands.
Christina, Sabretooth, Victory & Blakesley.
Blakesley handed Sabretooth some restraints and the mutant put them on Christina as the scientist left the room to find some semblance of clothing for her.
Christina jerked her head around and kept her mouth shut to try and prevent Sabretooth putting the gag in. Eventually, with a snarl of impatience, Sabretooth slapped her across the face, dazing her enough that he could fit the ballgag into her mouth and buckle it behind her head.
Victory leapt nimbly off his shoulder as he took Christina down off the cross, the alien making muffled noises of protest around the gag and thrashing as much as the restraints allowed her. Sabretooth cuffed her again, but Christina managed to hit him in the head with her handcuffed hands. He shook his head, dazed for barely a moment and slammed her up against the wall, clawed hand around her throat.
"Don't do that," he growled into her face.
Christina glared at him and tried to kick him in the groin.
Sabretooth hit her head against the wall again.
"All you are is a walking incubator. Don't make me angry. You don't need your arms and legs. And I bet you taste delicous," he hissed, then licked up a trail of blood that ran down her neck.
Christina shuddered in revulsion. Sabretooth put her on the ground and looked for Victory.
"Viccie, don't touch that," Sabretooth told his daughter as she patted at Christian's feet.
"We don't play with other people's things."
Christian & Blakesley Snr
Christian blew the hair out of his eyes as he looked down at Victory. Kinda cute.
Blakesley's father smiled slightly, then made his way over to the cupboards. Fitting the key intot he locks he'd installed, he opened the door and fetched a rubber band before locking it again.
Christina, Sabretooth, Victory & Blakesley.
Victory looked at her father.
"Mrrroowwwwwrrr?"
She licked her paw thoughtfully, looking back up at Christian. She tilted her head slightly, green eyes wide.
"Brat."
Victory snickered, then tapped at Christian's feet again with a padded paw.
Christina managed to sit up slightly, leaning against the wall.
Blakesley found some clothes he wouldn't miss and dumped them in Sabretooth's arms.
"Here."
A growl rumbled up through Sabretooth's chest, but he knelt to put them on her anyway.
Victory slunk away under the table, eyeing Blakesley mistrustfully. She spat at him, ears laid flat against her skull.
Christian & Blakesley Snr
Why the hell do animals like me? Christian rolled his eyes.
He set his eyes on Christina. He'd no doubt see her again sometime. Hopefully by then she would have miscarried.
Blakesley's father moved his wheelchair into a corner and sat down.
Christina, Sabretooth, Victory & Blakesley.
Sabretooth got Christina dressed and hauled her up over his shoulder. He kept her in place firmly with his hand, despite her frantic kicks and struggles.
"I'll contact you when the money you've given me to pay for her keep runs out," he informed Blakesley.
"The usual channels, I would suppose?" Blakesley asked.
"Yeah. Victory, come."
Sabretooth walked out, Victory padding along at his heels and Christina making muffled screams around the plastic in her mouth as she tried to throw herself off his shoulder.
"And that is that," Blakesley murmured.
Christian & Blakesley Snr
Christian took a deep breath. On the one hand, he was glad she was gone. On the other... well, he was all the two men had to 'play' with now.
Blakesley's father stood from his wheelchair and made his way over to Christian's back.
"What?" Christian tried to turn his head.
"Keep your head still," the old man whispered, "your hair, Christian, has grown quite long."
He reached up and ran his fingers through it - taking out a few knots, before smoothing it into a black and gold ponytail and tying it up.
Christian frowned slightly, glancing at Blakesley then away.
Christina, Sabretooth, Victory & Blakesley.
Sabretooth placed Christina in the passenger seat of the car and buckled her in. Alright...it was going to take a few days to get to the dead lab he had in mind. Houston was a far drive.
Victory leapt over Christina and scrabbled into the backseat, curling up to sleep.
Christina stared straight ahead, tears of terror coursing down her face. At least with Blakesley, she knew what to expect. Who the hell knew what this guy wanted?
Blakesley watched his father, then rubbed his hand over his chin.
"I have some work I need to get back to."
Christian & Blakesley Snr
"You do," Blakesley's father agreed with a nod, making his way over to the cupboards again and unlocking them.
"I wish to spend some time with young Christian. I will see you sometime soon no doubt."
Christian's eyes shot from Blakesley to his father.
Blakesley.
Blakesley nodded and left the room.
"I'll take care of dinner."
He closed the door behind him and went back to the work Sabretooth's arrival had disrupted.
