Friday
"There are exactly two ways I can get to New South Wales," Friday said. "With your apprival or without. Either way I'm going."
"Day," Troy said. "We don't even know these people."
"You don't know most of the people I know. Gee, I wonder why that could be? Oh, I know. It's because you missed out of the first fifteen years of my life."
"The middle fourteen, you mean."
"Details, details. Most of my friend making years to date at any rate."
"Honey -" began Jennifer.
"Would you stop calling me that?"
"Friday, please. You're asking us to let you go to the other side of the country to be with some people we've never met."
"You have soooo met Julie. You met her when we went to the space station."
Troy and Jennifer looked blank.
"Ha! Even when you do meet my friends you don't remember them. I should be hurt. I'm not, but I should be."
"Day, please. A lot has been happening, with you and us. Kat getting kidnapped by that horrible creature. You becoming a vampire slayer."
Friday rolled her eyes.
"Oh yeah, I never remembered to thank you for conspiring with Susie against me."
"You think we like the idea of you going around, fighting those... creatures?" Jennifer asked.
"You're not even my real mother. Quit pretending you care. Even my real mother doesn't care."
"Friday, despite what -" Troy began.
"Just shut up!" Friday shouted. "I want to spend some time with my friends before they go back to the States. Is that so freaking bad? Gee! I'm still going. Whether you like it or not, I am still going!"
Troy and Jennifer looked at each other.
