14 December 2003 - Doing the deed

Zac

Finding a good opportunity to not only speak with Zac, but give him the potion was going to be difficuly, but Alexa knew there was no turning back now. That morning the light-headedness was gone, but she still felt... different somehow.

There was nothing else for it. She had to do it today while she still had momentum and before she chickened out. She had come this far, and there was no way she would back out after drinking that horrid brew.

So she seeked him out instead, and tracked him down to the park where he was playing with that strange pet cat of his.

"Hi Zac," she said cheerfully.

Zac looked up.

"Hi Alexa," he greeted. "How you doing?"

"Good," and Alexa sat down next to him.

Okay... they were talking. This was good.

"That's good," Zac grinned. "I'm good too."

"Your cat is so cute," Alexa smiled, watching him pounce on some insects.

Zac grinned.

"Yeah, he is."

"You never really stuck me as a cat person."

"Really? Taylor's fiancee calls me a cat all the time."

Alexa chuckled, but inwardly she winced at the word 'fiancee'. Could she really do this? But as they continued to chat, Alexa stopped fighting herself about it. She was going to do this. She was.

"Do you want a drink?" Alexa asked, gesturing to the nearby kiosk. "I think I'll get myself one."

"Sure."

Alexa stood up and bought them drinks. However, she also took a moment to pour the entire contents of the potion into his, hoping it wouldn't have a bitter taste like the one she had.

"Thanks," Zac said, taking the cup upon her return.

"No problem," Alexa smiled.

She sipped her own, hoping to keep Zac from noticing the look of anticipation on her face.

Saku took this moment to come over. He jumped up on Zac's lap, then sniffed suspiciously at his drink. There was magic in there. Bad magic. He eyed Alexa suspisiously. She smelled... wrong. There was definitely something magical in her but not... not in the conventional way. He growled.

"Saku?" Zac asked. "What's wrong buddy?"

Saku pawed at the cup Zac was about to drink from, trying to make him loose his grip so it would spill.

"Hey!" Zac objected, lifting the cup up higher. "None of that."

Saku growled and lifted his paw, claws out as if to try a make a hole in the bottom.

"What a cheeky cat," Alexa said, trying to sound amused.

She reached out to pick Saku up, but he hissed at her a swiped her hand, cutting it.

"Ow!"

"Saku!" Zac scolded. "What's gotten into you huh?"

He put one hand under Saku's chest and then sculled down the drink. It tasted rather odd, but he was rather thirsty, so he didn't care, and stood up.

"C'mon, I'm getting you home. It was good talking to you, Alexa."

"Sure, sure," Alexa replied, standing up.

He had drunk it. He was hers. For twenty-four hours, he was hers.

"Say, could I come over and we can play video games like we used to?"

Zac grinned, trying to keep a hold of a wriggling Saku who was mewing pathetically now. Da has drunk the evil magic drink! And now... oh it was wrong. So very, very wrong! He should have turned to human and told him. He should have!

"Sure."

Saku hissed at Alexa. Bad idea. Very bad idea.

"Great."

"What's the matter with you?" Zac asked. "C'mon, we're going home."

Zac and Isaac

Upon arrival at the Hanson house, Alexa managed to get Zac to ditch the stupid cat (he was just getting more and more submissive, this was good!) and then talked him into coming to her place instead.

And of course, Alexa got her wish.

True to Medea's word, Zac did want Alexa as much as Alexa wanted him.

Meanwhilst, Saku was not a happy kitty. He should have thrown a fireball at her. Lots of fireballs.

He mewed pitifully at the door. How could Da have just locked him in like that? Must have been in the influence of that magic in his drink. He swtiched to human and let himself cry for a bit, before throwing a fireball at the door and burning a hole in it, just big enough for him to get through. He dowsed the flames with his hydrokinesis soon afterwards and then swicth back to cat and climbed up the stairs then ran to the rec room.

"Hey Saku," Isaac greeted, strumming on his guitair.

Saku switch back to human.

"Bad girl magicked Da!"

Isaac put down the guitar and sat down next to Saku.

"What's this?"
