Isaac, Zac and Julie
"Okay so if we have naive humans at this party," Julie was grinning, "I guess I have to hope that no one noticing B'E or Tom having a little... fun?"
Zac waved a hand at her.
"Ahh, it's dark. No one'll notice, or care if they did. Not like they have something flashy."
Alexa watched Zac and Julie talking and couldn't help but feel a little jealous. Julie was so much closer to him than she ever was, and not just on a sexual basis either.
There was talk that he got some other girl pregnant too. And of course he was engaged to another girl... He seemed to have so much love to give, and yet nothing for her.
"Hey, 'Lexa," Isaac greeted.
Alexa looked up.
"Hi," she said softly.
"Enjoying yourself?"
She shrugged.
Avery
Avery went over to talk to Zac and Julie.
"Hi Julie!" she said excitedly.
She paused.
"Hi Zac."
Taylor, Sheldon, Walker, Ash and Desiree
Taylor grinned as he held Mouse's hand and pulled her up to the front door.
"Hello everyone!" he called as he stepped inside.
"Tay man!" Sheldon exclaimed, emerging from the crowd, "and Mouse, of course. Bring any stow-aways?"
"Why would I?" Taylor smiled, lifting Mya slightly from his pocket just so she could see out.
She gazed around in awe, then huddled back down. Humans, humans, humans...
Ashley was talking to Walker about what the immediate future held for Hanson, and Mindy was helping Diana in the kitchen.
Desiree already felt extremely out of place as she stepped out from a friend's car and gazed across at the house.
Isaac, Zac and Julie
"Well, try not to look too bored," Isaac grinned at Alexa, before walking off to talk to others.
"Hi Avie," Julie smiled.
"Hey Avie," Zac said, "Hey, talk to you later."
He wandered over to Desiree.
"Hi Dez," He said.
Alexa watched Zac walk over to some pregnant chick. She wondered if she was the girl the rumour was about. She sighed.
Desiree and Sheldon
Desiree smiled slightly.
"Hey Zac... how's the party so far?"
"IKE!" Sheldon called over the stereo, "gonna drink tonight or what?!"
Madison and Avery
Madison tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she walked in, looking for Ike.
Avery grinned at Julie. "How's the school?"
Isaac, Zac and Julie
"I'm not going to answer that question," Isaac said. "It's safer that way. Hey! Maddy!"
Isaac put his arms around her waist and kissed her softly.
"It's pretty good," Zac replied. "Considering we're just starting."
He grinned mischeviously.
"Oh school... it's... school," Julie grinned. "Although, I have to say... the company is nice."
Desiree and Sheldon
Desiree wagged her finger slowly at Zac.
"Don't get me in trouble with your girlfriend, ok?" she put a hand over her swollen abdomen.
"Yo Maddy! You'll help me get him drunk, won't you?" Sheldon quirked an eyebrow as he made his way over.
Avery and Madison
Avery nodded, and caught a fleeting glance at Julie's thoughts. She shuddered slightly.
"Ah... well... that's good. Do you see much of Jess?"
Madison kissed Ike back and relaxed into his arms.
"Hey Ike. Hey Sheldon... and no, I'm not going to help him get drunk unless he wants to."
Isaac, Zac and Julie
Julie shrugged.
"Here and there. She seems to keep to herself mostly."
Zac held up his hands.
"My fiance isn't coming tonight. And in any case, I wouldn't do anything to get you in trouble with her."
"See?" Isaac grinned. "At least someone loves me."
Mouse
Mouse watched the room carefully, eyes thoughtful.
So. This was normal? She hadn't ever really had time for Christmas. Never thought about it. Except as a time when the shopowners were frazzled so she had a better chance of stealing what she needed.
She smiled at Taylor slightly and kissed his cheek, then returned to watching the room.
Sheldon, Taylor and Desiree
"Someone loves you?" Sheldon looked shocked, then smiled at Madison, "didn't really say hi, so hi."
Taylor kissed his fiance' back.
"If the crowd gets too much for you we can always head outside," he squeezed her shoulders slightly, looking around.
Desiree smiled again.
"Well... thanks... Sir Zac."
Madison
"Someone loves you? Who is she, Ike? She's stepping on my territory!" Madison teased.
Isaac and Zac
Isaac gave Madison a kiss.
"I was talking about you. And you know it."
"No problemo," Zac grinned. "How's the baby?"
Mouse
"I know," Mouse said quietly.
"I was just thinking...how new this is."
Fafnir gave Zac and Sheldon a baleful glare as he slunk to Mouse's side.
Save me from the kitten. Really.
"Saku picking on you again?" Mouse murmured.
It's not that overwhelmingly funny.
Taylor and Desiree
"You're joining a big family," Taylor said softly, so only she could really hear.
He grinned.
"Wait until you meet all the relatives. This'll be absolutely nothing."
"The baby is... ok," Desiree nodded slowly, "not to say I won't be glad when it's over."
Madison
Madison grinned and kissed Ike back.
"Damn straight you were talking about me."
Isaac and Zac
Zac smiled.
"Yeah, don't blame ya," he said.
Isaac nuzzled her neck and stroked her hair gently.
"Glad you could come."
Mouse
"I'm just thinking more of the Christmas thing," Mouse said.
"Although meeting hordes of people does sound rather terrifying, now I think of it. You'll be there though, so that will be alright."
She threaded her fingers through Fafnir's ruff and the wolf pressed up against her legs.
Loud. He complained.
"You could wait outside."
Not bleeding likely.
Desiree, Taylor and Sheldon
"Well that's good," Desiree frowned, but with a smile, "...that you don't blame me. Because I blame you."
She nodded.
"For being too fertile. Yep."
Taylor wrapped his arms around Mouse and hugged her, blocking her slightly as he thought about what he was getting her for Christmas. A grin spread across his face.
"You'll get used to it," he said finally, before kissing her neck, "in the next thousand years or so..."
"Ok, now I'm seeing too much," Sheldon put his hands up, then went to find Ashley.
Madison
Madison sighed in contentment and turned her head to kiss Ike softly.
"Glad I'm here..."
Isaac and Zac
Zac laughed.
"Y'know what? I get that a lot... Think someone's trying to tell me something?"
Isaac kissed her back.
"Glad you're here too."
Mouse
Mouse relaxed back into his arms.
"Ya think?"
Taylor and Desiree
"I think all the time," Taylor chuckled, resting his chin on her head.
"I wonder why you get that a lot," Desiree quirked an eyebrow, "how many kids do you have, anyway?"
Zac
"Umm..." Zac said. "There's B'Elanna and Tom, and Saku. And there's another girl who's pregnant to me at the moment too."
He gave an embarrassed grin.
"So yeah, I get around."
Mouse
"Silly."
Mouse smiled slightly.
"J'aime comment vous me faites le en sécurité de sentir." (I love how you make me feel safe.)
She relaxed into his arms.
"You know...should actually talk to people. Say hi."
Desiree and Taylor
Desiree raised her eyebrows.
"So you have... five kids?"
She looked around distractedly.
"Well at least I don't have to be the only one worried about having Zac Hanson's kid... even though I didn't believe you were you."
Taylor sighed.
"We've got all night," he insisted.
Zac
"Well, I will have five kids this time next year," Zac replied. "But I'll only have to directly look after two of them, because the other three are living with their mothers. Will make life interesting, that's for sure."
