4 December 2003 - Slayer-napped

Nessa and Michelle

Faith

Faith shrugged her jacket on and grabbed a stake, putting it in the back of her pants. She zipped her boots and then headed out the door.

Once she was back outside, she felt a whole lot better. There was something about being stuck inside, not fighting, just sitting there, that really bothered her. She wasn't an inside person, wasn't a thinker, she was a doer.

A rustle to her left and she was on her guard, slowing down the pace of her walking. She didn't sense any demons, or vampires, so she relaxed slightly.

* * *

"Locked on target," the soldier said, bent underneath a bush, watching Faith intently through his night vision goggles.

"She's hot," another soldier murmured. "Why are the strange ones always hot?"

"Who knows... got the trank?"

"Yeah, is it gonna hold her?"

"Don't know... all up, we have enough to sedate a small elephant... that should be enough for a single Slayer..."

"Right, then let's do it."

He took aim, and fired.

* * *

"Ah, what the hell was that?" Faith asked aloud, grabbing her neck, and pulling out the dart.

Ah, possibly not a good sign...

Faith blinked a few times, then darted to the left as another dart came flying out. Followed by a guy dressed in army fatigues.

Ok, people she could deal with...

She flew into action, kicking and punching, and was gaining an advantage when she felt a few more pricks of a needle.

And then it all went black...

* * *

"Right, get her in the van and chain her up... we've gotta find something strong enough to keep her sedated."

The soldiers dragged Faith into the back of their van and chained her hands and feet together, and drove to the meeting spot, and then were transported, by helicopter to their secret location.

Faith was carried inside and dressed in a hospital gown and chained tightly to a hospital bed.

Zac

Zac looked at the clock again. Where was she? Faith was usually back by now...

"She probably just found a nest or something," he told himself. "She'll be back soon, you'll see."

He stood up and started to pace. What if she was hurt? What if there had been too many? What if -

"She'e been doing this longer than you've known her. Stop worrying. She's fine!"

He sighed heavily and sat back down on the bed. He hoped she would come back soon.
