Faith and Paige
Faith kept a hold on Zac's hand as Paige orbed out, leaving them standing in the hallway of Xavier's in New York. She looked around.
"Hmm... place never changes... wonder where Brand is..."
Brand
"FAITH! SAVE ME!"
Brand more or less leapt on her.
"You left," he told her accusingly and pouted.
Faith
Faith kissed the top of Brand's head.
"I know, sorry... but I had some things to do back home."
She indicated to Zac.
"Brand, Zac, Zac, Brand."
She hugged Brand again.
"How've you been?"
Brand
"Hiya!"
Brand nodded at Zac, then switched his attention back to Faith.
"Dance! Camp, but I'm not going...unfortunately. Everyone's plotting to hurt Dawn. I want to go. So I can help. Grrr, bad Key! Elves! Fellowship! Hobbits! THINGS! Big freaky winged woman with red eyes and dressed in a whole lot of leather! She was baaaaaad! There was pain! There was fighting! IT WAS ALL REALLY, REALLY COOL!"
Faith
Faith laughed.
"He's like that," she said to Zac, then returned her attention to Brand.
"Sounds exciting. Everyone's going on camp, hey?"
She patted Brand's head.
"Wanna come stay in Tulsa with me then?"
Brand
"YES!"
Brand bounced.
"YESYESYESYESYES! That would be really cool!"
Faith
"So, I take it, you like that idea?" Faith asked dryly.
She ruffled his hair.
"Got some new weapons too, so if you want to start training?"
Brand
"Are they shiny? I like shiny," Brand said.
"Shiny is cooool..."
Faith
Faith nodded.
"We can start you on swords," she said.
She reached for Zac's hand.
"I guess I'll be in the same room again... you still in there, Brand?"
Zac
Zac squeezed Faith's hand and smiled. Then Saku, in his cat form started wriggling.
"Okay, okay," he said, putting him down. "Go on, go play with Fao."
Saku gave a short mew and then raced off. Zac shook his head with a smile.
Brand
"Yeah, same room, same room," Brand said, grinning and bouncing slightly.
"Swords? Coolest. Shiny! And you know, can hurt people. Can I kill Dawn? Please?"
Then he looked at Zac.
"Ah, this is the guy I'm meant to give the talk to? All very simple. Hurt her, and I'll make sure you never go to heaven, ok?"
Brand looked serious for a moment, then grinned again.
"Have I mentioned that being alive is really cool?"
Faith
Faith smiled.
"I think they PTB would frown upon you killing Dawn... not that I haven't had that thought once or twice."
She ruffled his hair again.
"I think we heard that once or twice..."
Zac
Zac considered Brand.
"Well, you hurt her," he said, "and I'll make sure you learn up close and personal the real difference between hot and cold."
He grinned teasingly and nuzzled Faith's neck.
Brand
"But she doesn't love me! Well, she does, but not in the forever after and happily married style," Brand said.
"I wouldn't hurt my Faith! So there."
Faith
Faith hugged Brand again, and squeezed Zac's hand at the same time.
"Awww, I feel so loved. And yes, I do love you, Brand, but in that little brother way."
She looked at them both.
"And if you hurt each other... there's not a lot I can do to stop that."
Zac
"So, I guess it's kinda agreed no one's gonna hurt anyone," Zac grinned. "Okay, well... now we're here... maybe we should dump our stuff somewhere?"
Mary
"I...don't know. I can probably bunk with someone so that you and Zac can share a room," Brand told Faith.
"HEADS UP!" A terrified female voice said.
Brand grabbed both Faith's and Zac's hands and pulled them to the ground.
A boom rattled the walls.
"Sorry!"
"Mary, you need to get some control," Brand said as he raised his head.
She bit her lip, a smallish smoking crater half way down the hallway between her and them.
"It's getting really rough on the furnishings."
Faith
"I'd hate to kick you out of your room... but I'd also hate for you to hear or see anything you shouldn't. What with your 15 year old, newly human mind."
Faith grinned.
"Well... I guess there are frees now, aren't there? Did Gwen and Mordred finally bugger off?"
Zac
Zac gave the crater an admiring look.
"Cool. Imagine what they're going to look like when you get control," he said.
Mary
"I'm *supposed* to be learning not to blow things up unless I want to," Mary said.
"But then I get upset-"
"And whatever she's holding starts glowing red and it's time to duck and cover," Brand said.
She glared at him.
"Bite me."
"'M no vamp."
"No, that would be my brother's husband."
Faith
Faith looked confused.
"Wait... did Spike and Vort get married? Well, go them..."
Zac
"Yeah, go them," Zac nodded. "Leaves more women for... err... Ike. I was gonna say me, but that's not true any more."
He grinned at Faith and gave her a kiss.
Mary
"There was biting and grrr," Mary said.
"And that's as far as he told me."
"Well, vamp. You can't expect them to have a normal marriage ceremony," Brand said logically.
"But yeah...so Spike's pretty cool. And Gwen's neat."
Faith
Faith kissed Zac back.
"Yeah, you're lucky you didn't say you, or you'd be sleeping alone tonight..."
She turned to Brand and Mary.
"That's very true... so I assume they went to see Angel about it?"
Zac and Julie
"Sleeping alone... such a horrible idea..." Zac grinned.
"I agree," said Julie, walking in.
"Hey Julie," Zac said. "Y'know from what I hear you don't sleep alone all that often."
"That's because it's horrible. Duh. Here, B'E wants to say hi," and Julie picked up B'Elanna and gave her to him.
"Aww. Hi B'E. Have you been tormeting your mother by blending in on a regular basis? I hope so because she is -"
"Now now, don't start teaching them bad language, Zac."
"I wasn't going to use bad language. You're the one with the foul mouth."
Mary
"Yeah." Mary bounced slightly.
"Actually, I better run. See ya, Brand."
The small girl took off, black hair bouncing slightly.
Brand shifted from foot to foot, and then took out his lighter and started flicking the flame on and off.
"There's been general chaos here lately, what about you?"
Faith
"Hey Julie."
Faith shrugged.
"The usual... demons, vamps, impending apocalpyses..."
She ruffled Brand's hair.
"Come on, we'll dump our stuff in the room, then you wanna start training? Come to think of it... if Gwen's around, I can train her more too."
Zac and Julie
"Hi Faith. Zac hasn't been gving you any trouble has he? Because if he his I'll have have to put him in diaper duty," Julie grinned malciously.
"Like you weren't planning to anyway."
"Shh!"
Brand
"Yes! Weapons!"
Brand bounced slightly.
"Come on then!"
He started off down the hallway.
Faith
Faith nodded. "Zac has been a lot of trouble... I think you should give him diaper duty..."
She followed after the bouncing Brand.
Zac and Julie
"Thanks a lot!" Zac called after her. "You go fight then, I'll explore and see how many women I can rape. Err, I mean people I can catch up with."
Julie snorted.
"Idiot."
"Takes one to know one."
Brand
"So, yeah, room!"
Brand opened the door and entered. He threw some of his clothes that were on the floor onto his bed.
"So what are we going to do first?"
Faith
Faith dropped her bag onto her bed and turned to Brand.
"Daggers?"
She opened her bag and tossed him the Jackal, which was in it's case. She pulled out the Leviathan.
"Come on, we'll go outside."
Brand
"Right!"
Brand walked with her outside.
"So, what's first?"
Faith
"Hmmm..."
Faith pointed to a nearby tree.
"Throw it there, and try to hit it?"
Brand
"Ok..."
Brand looked at the knife, then at the tree. He bit his lip and then threw it. It went wide.
Faith
Faith bit her lip.
"Why don't we start with martial arts?"
Brand
"Whatever is cool," Brand said.
"You're the teacher."
Faith
"Alright... punch me... and I'll block."
Faith started showing Brand how to punch and kick correctly.
Brand
Brand punched at her, trying to do as she had showed him.
Faith
Faith blocked it and went about showing him how to block.
She took a deep breath and slowly went to punch him, giving him enough time to block it, but also slow enough to stop if he didn't block.
Brand
Brand tried to copy her smooth movements. While he did block her, it was clumsy and illtimed.
Faith
"We'll work on that..."
Faith thought for a second.
"Why don't we go to the gym? Makes it easier."
Brand
"Ok!" Brand said.
"This is really, really cool."
He bounced slightly on the balls of his feet.
Faith
Faith led Brand into the gym and stood him in front of the punching bag.
"Ok..."
Brand
"Right..."
Brand looked at the punching bag, then back at Faith.
"So do you want me to punch it or kick or what?"
Faith
"Ok, punch, then block, then kick."
Faith nodded and settled herself down on the balance beam.
Brand
"Right. Right."
Brand nodded and did as she told him to. His moves started to pick up in confidence.
Faith
Faith watched him for a bit, then got up from the beam.
"You wanna try roundhouse kicking now?"
She demonstrated a few times, and then let him do it.
Brand
"'K."
Brand did so, nearly overbalancing on the first one.
"Crap."
He tried again and the move came a lot smoother, side of his foot smacking into the punching bag.
Faith
Faith nodded.
"Well done."
She thought for a moment, then taught him the basic combos of punches and kicks.
"I think that's all we'll work on today."
Brand
Brand collapsed and sprawled against the ground, red gold hair lying against the blue gym mats.
"Ya think?"
Faith
Faith grinned and nodded.
"Nice work."
She tilted her head to the side.
"Wanna have a shower then meet me in the caf or something?"
Brand
"Right."
Brand got up and trotted off.
"Catch ya in a few."
Faith
"Mmkay."
Faith took her jacket off and stopped off at her room to toss it inside.
She went down to the caf to wait for Brand.
Brand
Brand showered quickly and then dressed in jeans and a white top. His hair was still wet, and it turned the back of his shirt almost see through.
He walked into the caf and saw Faith, grinned and walked over to her, sliding into a near by seat.
"Hey Faith!"
Faith
"Hey... do you never run out of energy or something?"
Faith grinned as he joined her.
Brand
"Uhhhhh...NAH!"
Brand grinned and bounced slightly in his seat.
"Still all too new! So much stuff! It's all different! And new! And SHINY!"
Gwen and Faith
"Someone asked him a stupid question, didn't they... oh wait, it's only you Faith, I should've guessed," Gwen said, coming into the caf, holding Eavan and Bryant.
"Oh shoosh you. I thought you moved out, why the hell are you back here?" Faith asked.
"Coz I can... and classes."
Brand
Brand laughed.
"Which I should be doing...but ya know, it's hard teaching me. I don't like to sit still for very long. I'm a distraction."
He grinned cheekily.
Faith and Gwen
"Sounds about right," Faith said to Brand. "Where's your better half?"
"He has classes... I thought I might hang out here while he's busy," Gwen replied. "Where's yours?"
"With Julie somewhere."
"And you're not worried?" Gwen joked.
"Nope, besides, he cheats on me again, I'll just kick his ass."
Brand
"And then I'll be evil," Brand said.
"What, you don't think I can do it?"
Faith and Gwen
Faith grinned.
"No, I believe you. Wonder where Zac is anyway..."
Gwen looked triumphant. "I know where my boy is... see, my boy is totally better than yours."
"Nope, Zac rocks."
"No way."
Kurt
Brand got up and got some lunch, shaking his head slightly.
"You two are weird...Hey Kurt."
"Guten morgan, wenig Flamme," Kurt said amiably as the curls of smoke from his bamf cleared away.
"And how was your morning?"
"Great! Faith's teaching me how to fight! It's really, really, really cool!"
Faith and Gwen
Faith grinned and raised an eyebrow.
"Apparently."
"Oh, does this mean I can get some training while you're here?" Gwen asked.
"It certainly does."
Kurt
"Ist gutt, ja?" Kurt said as he served himself from the servery.
He sat down at a nearby table while Brand sat back down with Faith.
"Yeah! Like, Logan and Scott and Spike are already really, really busy training most of the older kids, so Faith just rocks!" Brand said.
"Dat gutt den, liebling."
Faith
Faith grinned.
"Why thank you. But I suppose the fact that you're made from some of me has nothing to do with why I rock?"
Brand
"Well, sorta."
Brand tilted his head slightly, then took a huge bite of his sandwich. He swallowed.
"But certainly 'splains the differences between Dawn and me."
Faith
"That's true."
Faith wrinkled her nose.
"Ewww, I'd hate to be made from Buffy."
Kurt
Kurt looked confused, blinked slightly, then shrugged it off. His tail curled around the bottom of his chair, arrowshaped tip tapping lightly against the back of it.
"Much rather be made from you," Brand said vehemently.
He reached over and hugged Faith hard.
Gwen and Faith
"Awww," Gwen said.
Faith hugged him back. "Yep, so how is Dawnie anyway?"
Brand
"She's awake," Brand said distastefully.
"You have GOT to get me OUTTA here, Faith!"
Faith
Faith wrinkled her nose.
"Yeah, I will... I can't believe she thought she could take on Glory. Is she all proud of herself?"
Kurt
"YES! It's nauseating! Nyx bitched to me about it afterwards for SO LONG, you have NO idea!"
Brand made a distressed face.
"Yay, she won. But she was in a coma for a REALLY long time. If she'd bothered to ask anyone else, she probably would not have been. Nyx broke things by throwing them, she was a majorly unhappy kitty."
"How ist Dame Katz?" Kurt said, tilting his head slightly.
"I don't know. I haven't really seen her since then. She's really harrassed though."
Faith and Gwen
"Well, it's a traist of the Summers's. Stupidity. It's ok, you can come stay with me until we work out what's happening," Faith said.
Gwen tsked and got up to make herself and Mordred some lunch, for when he finished his class. She came back over to the table.
"Someone's all domesticated," Faith commented.
Brand
"YAY!"
Brand's grin got wider.
"I get to stay with Faith!"
Faith
"Whoa, sugar hit," Faith commented.
She ruffled his hair.
Kurt
"Nein, he's always like dat," Kurt said dryly as he stood.
He took his dirty tray and cutlery to the clean up point and bamfed away.
"He's pretty cool," Brand told Faith, wriggling slightly.
"He was in a circus! How cool is that?"
Faith
"Yes, that is cool..."
Faith thought for a second.
"At least we know you're not on drugs."
Brand
"Pshaw, no way! That's stupid!" Brand said indignantly.
"Drugs, pfffft!"
Faith
Faith nodded.
"Indeed. Well, why don't we stay the night here and go to Tulsa tomorrow?"
Brand
"Fine with me!"
Brand nodded.
Faith
"Ok..."
Faith got up and got a drink.
"How long do you want to stay?"
Zac and Julie
Zac, Julie and the twins arrived in the caf.
"Faithy!" Zac grinned, walking over to her. "Been having fun?"
Julie rolled her eyes. So pathetic.
Brand
"YES!"
Brand bounced again.
"Faith's been teaching me how to hurt people. Or maybe people who aren't quite people, because, you know, no soul. Faith, I don't know if I *have* a soul...going by Dawn, it seems that I don't."
He looked worried.
Faith and Gwen
"Hey love," Faith said to Zac. "Hey Julie."
She frowned for a second.
"Brand, you're made from a part of me, so saying that you have no soul, is like saying I have no soul, and while I did get with the killing a few years ago, I maintain that it was B who drove me to that, so I am saying that B didn't have a soul and therefore Dawn doesn't have one, but I think you would have one, because I like to think I have one."
Gwen raised an eyebrow.
"Nice rationalising."
"I try."
Zac and Julie
"I think you have a soul, Faith," Zac smiled, giving her a kiss.
"Or," drawled Julie. "Since technology tends to improve over the years, and you're the second key made, then chances are your better constructed than Dawn, and thus you would have to have a soul."
Spike
"YES! All good points!"
Brand resumed grinning.
"Why oh why does she want to be my friend? I mean, c'mon! The running away should clue her in that I don't want to play nice. ANd Faith lefted. Which means I had no one to protect me. Because Spike is ignoring her now, and doesn't exactly like hanging around with me, because I think fire's pretty and shiny, and vamps really don't like fire, despite the fact that he has a Gem, and-"
"Bloody hell, he's worse then Red or the whelp," Spike said, entering.
"Hey, Slayer."
Faith and Gwen
"Hey Spike... congrats on the whole... Vort thing. None too clear on what happened, but it sounds like a good thing."
Faith raised an eyebrow at Brand, who seemed to be able to talk without taking a breath.
"Ah, but I came back, and I'm gonna take you back to Tulsa, where I can keep an eye on you. Constant vigilance, you see."
"You're going to train him to be your minion, aren't you?" Gwen accused.
"I would, but he's stronger than I am, when you think about it... well, not physical strength wise, maybe, but in like... the whole portal thing."
Zac and Julie
"I'll be her minion," Zac joked.
"You're whipped," Julie commented.
"No I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
"I'm not. I'm just completely in love."
Spike and Vortigern
"Dru's gone nutters again," Spike said.
"Not that she wasn't always completely barking, but we do know whose fault that was. She's *lonely* apparently, since the cat got his act together and hightailed it out of there with the kittens. So, she wants me back. Or so the evil minitwins said. I went to peaches, there was biting and Claiming, and if you look crosswise at Vortigern, so help me Satan, I'll kill you."
"Ignore him, he's very, very paranoid at the moment," Vortigern said as he entered the room and walked over to Spike.
Spike put his arms around Vortigern, and nuzzled into his neck, fangs lengthening for a minute.
"I think it comes with the fact that his demon now considers me his property, and Spike always was really, really preotective over his things. Down, there's a good vampire."
Spike growled softly.
"Yes, so I have a paranoid, pyschopathically protective husband. As of yesterday."
Gwen and Faith
"Join the club, Vort," Gwen commented, smiling slightly. "But it's sorta nice... in a scary way. But it makes the sex really good."
Faith rolled her eyes and took Zac's hand. "There's something we *really* don't need to know about... more of the Gwen and Mordred sexual Olympics."
"Jealous that my boy and I are doing it more than you?"
"Oh, I doubt it. But hey, nice of Angel to do that for you. But I guess he feels he's got a lot of making up to do... what with the... evilness and all..." Faith said quietly, rubbing her arm slightly.
Zac and Julie
Zac kissed Faith gently and squeezed her hand. Then Tom started to cry.
"Aww, what's wrong Tommy?" asked Julie. "Is the number of whip marks on your father scaring you?"
"See?" Zac said. "This is why you and I would never have worked out. You're a -"
"Tsk tsk, not in front of the kids."
Vortigern and Spike
"Sex was already good," Vortigern said, looking smug.
"Sex was already fantastic. But when we came back from Angel's...and I still do have to pay Mordred back for asking me took after Fao in the middle of it."
"Can I kill him for you, pet?"
"Um, no."
Gwen and Faith
"Hey, you called him away right after we'd gone our first round... and left me cold and in need of my husband," Gwen replied. "And sex with Mordred is always good... always great, in fact... where is he?"
"Ugh, we're not this bad, are we?" Faith asked Zac.
Zac and Julie
"We're not," Zac said. "But she is."
And Zac looked pointedly at Julie.
"Who? Me?"
"Yes, you."
"Naturally."
MOrdred, Vortigern and Spike
Mordred stalked in, angry snarl on his face.
"Don't ask. Please, really really don't."
He walked over to the coffee machine, shoulders hunched.
Spike looked down at Vortigern and he shrugged slightly, spreading his hands.
"His last class was with Jean-"
"Pyscho, peeping, moralistic, interfering," Mordred's voice dropped to a low growl.
Gwen and Faith
"Ooh, that does not look good," Gwen commented.
Faith squeezed Zac's hand.
Zac and Julie
"If his last class was with Jean, what else do you expect?" Julie pointed out.
"That bad huh?" Zac asked.
"That bad."
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
"She was *trying* to look through my mind," Mordred growled as he came back over.
"I *know* when someone is doing that, it doesn't impress me, she's not strong enough to get through my shields anyway, and all it's done is piss me off."
"Are you going to be alright?"
"I'll be fine. I'm just exceptionally angry. She wants to teach me control, MY ARSE. I'm already more controlled then she is."
Mordred's eyes started to fleck with gold.
"Ok, calming now," Spike said warily.
"I'm *not* going to wolf out, alright?" Mordred snarled.
"I'm just very, very close to it. Besides, we don't even know if it will work now we're back here and not in Middle Earth."
Faith and Gwen
"See, it's coz she's now a Summers. Put very simply, they suck ass," Faith commented.
Gwen stood and went over to Mordred, laying her hand on his shoulder.
"Come on, we'll go kill her."
Zac and Julie
"If I had a dollar for everytime someone said something about killing a Summers, I'd be accused of being a high price prositiute," Julie said.
"You mean you're not already?" Zac grinned.
Julie poked her tongue out at him.
"I know of a better use for that tongue."
"Yeah? What's that?"
"Ha, that's not going to work on me any more."
"Rats. And you're so damn good too..."
Mordred, Vortigern, Sergei and Spike
MOrdred put his arm around her waist, cloing his eyes slightly.
"Yeah, but would it count as justifiable homicide? They really need to get laws in place governing telepathy."
"We'd be in a lot of trouble if they did," Vortigern said.
"Aliens got laws," Sergei pointed out.
"Doesn't mean people obey them, much like most laws, tovarisch."
"And telepaths wonder why people mistrust them?" Spike said.
"Oh, they know why. S'why Jono don't talk in public," Sergei said.
Brand just listened with interest.
Faith and Gwen
"Pssh, killing a Summers... I'm sure you'd get away with it, you'd be doing the world a favour." Faith nodded. "Of course... I have been there, and tried that..."
"Who did you try to kill?" Gwen asked, kissing Mordred's cheek.
Faith grinned sheepishly. "Buffy a few times, Dawn a few times, and I was just gonna torture Joyce. But I'm maintaining that it was Buffy who drove me to it."
Zac and Julie
"Your sister is a telepath, isn't she?" Julie asked.
"Yeah, Avie is," Zac nodded. "Ahh... telepathy... it can cause so much damage... example a, Taylor. His mind got so screwed. Which could explain a few things, except most of those things were evident before."
He mulled over this for a bit.
"With great power comes great responsibility?" Julie suggested.
Spike, Mordred and Vortigern
"Tried to kill Buffy a few times..." Spike said.
"Never did though. Joyce was an alright bird."
"Do you think if we asked Priss very, very nicely, she'd make a charm for us to keep what happened on Dawn's birthday from happening again?" Vortigern said thoughtfully.
"Dunno if it would work, luv. The PTB...arseholes that they are...could override her," Spike said.
"Let's kill them too," Mordred suggested lazily.
Spike barked a laugh.
"Well, that would be something if you could do it."
"That would be..." Brand paused for a moment, and looked thoughtful.
"Cool. If you could pull it off. And then what would happen after, that would be cool too. Because, they're the forces of good, supposedly and then you'd have no one to keep the demons in check, but we're usually doing pretty good at keeping them down, and I wonder if another god or series of gods would move in then. But some of them are alright."
Faith and Gwen
"Ok, so if the PTB are keeping the demons in check, they're not doing such a good job of it. And then there are the Elders, who, like the PTB, just sit back and let us do the fighting," Faith said.
"This is why I work by myself," Gwen replied.
"Or maybe that's because you have no friends," Faith offered.
"It's true," Gwen said, pretending to sulk.
Zac and Julie
"What the heck, lets just start a list of people who should die and then go on a killing spree," Julie nodded.
"Yeah... that's a fun idea," Zac drawled.
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
"Bloody hell, yeah."
Mordred's grin got predatory.
"You have no idea."
"And there is the axe killer lurking in my brother's pysche speaking," Vortigern said dryly.
"Not axe killer...wolf, there's a differnce, yeah?"
"Not much of one."
"Ok...the list starts with Dawn."
"Yes! Kill Dawn!" Brand agreed.
"I don't hear you, lalala..." Spike murmured.
"I'm s'posed to be a teacher and steering you towards good ethics and morals and all that rot...and I'm pretty sure disapproving of a killing spree is part of it."
"But it would be such fun," Vortigern said.
"Or don't you remember what happened back in Middle Earth?"
He whispered something in Spike's ear and the vampire's eyes glowed gold.
"Don't say stuff like that unless you want to be thrown over a table."
"Right...so, Dawn, Jean...Scott's been alright lately...maybe we should just maim him?" Mordred asked.
"The bitch with black wings, umm...Loki, Jay..."
"Can you kill an angel?" Vortigern asked.
"I have no idea, but we can try really, really hard."
Gwen and Bobby
"Bobby," Gwen supplied when she saw him.
"I did what now?" Bobby asked, standing behind Julie and massaging her shoulders.
"On the list to be killed," Gwen replied.
"Oh, well that's ok then, I thought it was something serious," he grinned.
Zac and Julie
Julie smiled and leaned her head back so it was resting on Bobby's stomach.
"Blakesley," Zac said. "You can add Blakesley to that list. Actually... it doesn't matter if you add him or not, I'm killing him anyway."
"Ooooh, macho Zac," Julie teased. "Who is he anyway?"
"Damn sadistic torturer who hides under the title of 'scientist'."
Spike, Sergei, Vortigern and Mordred
Sergei almost snarled.
"Scientists. Bastards. I'd say add Danjermond...but he dead."
He smiled, fangs gleaming and looking rather more evil then usual.
"Yeah...any scientist like that is fine to add," Spike said.
Vortigern rubbed his arm soothingly.
"We've had our own experiences, and I swear to God, they all deserve to die. Slowly. Painfully," Mordred growled.
Gwen and Bobby
"And some of them did," Gwen said softly, shuddering slightly at the memories. "Science is bad. Scientists are worse. Experimenting on people is very, very, very bad."
Bobby sighed.
"Major understatement."
He kept massaging Julie's shoulders, then leaned down and kissed her cheek.
Zac and Julie
"Yeah, well, I plan on boiling Blakesley blood. At just the right temperature to drag it out as long as possible."
Julie reached behind the chair and located Bobby's zipper.
"So... violent Zac. I didn't think you had it in you."
Mordred and Vortigern
"But I killed yours for you, love," Mordred almost purred.
"They died so messily."
"Much like the idiots who stole the twins in ME?" Vortigern asked.
"Well, maybe not as messy as that," Mordred said.
"I was wolf for that. I just had a sword for the other."
Gwen, Faith and Bobby
Gwen nodded.
"That's a good point, you did..."
A quick flash of her time as a lab rat, and she shuddered.
Faith squeezed Zac's hand.
"I like it when he's violent..."
Bobby pulled away slightly and found himself a chair, then reached over to put Julie in his lap.
Zac and Julie
Zac grinned back at Faith while Julie got herself settled in Bobby's lap.
"Remember," Zac said to Julie. "There are impressionable children in this room."
"Zac, I think it's way too late to protect you from such things."
Spike, Mordred and Vortigern
"I want to kill something now."
"Have you noticed you've been a lot more violent since the thing?"
"We're not talking about that."
"And why not? We should. It's us."
"And I remember. We were...one. Complete. And we're not going to get that again. Hurts. Don't want to talk about it."
"Think you could be surprised."
"I'm sick of surprises, Vort."
"Don't blame you."
"Should we start talking again?"
"We have more issues to sort out."
Spike waved a hand in front of Vortigern's eyes.
"Hello, zone back in."
"You mind? We were talking."
"Anyone ever tell you how freaky it is when you do that?"
Mordred grinned.
"Loads. But most people-"
"Find this more disturbing-"
"For reasons we know too well-"
"Being a telepath can-"
"Be its own headaches but-"
"Trying to convince people to think softly-"
"Thank you very much, Julie and-"
"Bobby, is its own hassle. But we-"
"Woudln't change a thing. It's-"
"Who we are."
Gwen and Bobby
"'Scuse me..." Gwen muttered, then left quickly.
"Well, see, if I think loudly, it is proof that I think," Bobby said, nodding.
Julie and Zac
Julie giggled.
"About the only evidence we have that you have a brain?" Zac suggested.
"Zac, don't be mean."
"Why? If you weren't doing him, you'd probably say it yourself."
Vortigern and Mordred
"If you thought about something worthwhile, that would convince me you had a brain," Vortigern said.
Mordred nodded at them all briefly, then walked after Gwen.
"As it is, I'm convinced you think with what's in your pants."
Gwen and Bobby
Gwen went outside and sat down on the nearest bench, breathing heavily.
Bobby grinned.
"I do, and what's in my pants has gotten me into some good places," he said, looking pointedly at Julie.
Julie and Zac
"Aww, flatterer," Julie said. "Flattery will -"
"Don't you dare say it, Julie," Zac said.
"Why? Jealous?"
"No, merely wanted to inform you that you're totally predictable."
Vortigern, Spike and Mordred
"Stop it," Vortigern said firmly.
"They can't help it, they're just kids," Spike drawled.
Vortigern relaxed minutely as Spike massaged his shoulders gently, nipping at his neck.
"You know..."
"Yeah, pet?"
"Oh don't worry. I'll tell you later. And I need to check it out with the wolf first."
Vortigern smiled.
"What's the matter, love?" Mordred asked as he sat down next to Gwen.
Gwen and Bobby
Gwen shrugged.
"I don't know... just the talking about scientists and stuff... gives me the creeps."
Bobby grinned.
"Sorry Vort."
Julie and Zac
Julie realised then that Bobby's zipper was still down from when she unzipped it before and she hadn't done a thing more. Well, she would have to rectify that.
SHe slipped her hand in. Zac noticed and wagged a finger at her.
Vortigern and Mordred
"Oh, this is nothing to what happened at the dance," Vortigern told Zac.
"This is just routine for them. It's making sure that the younger students don't see it that's the interesing bit. Brand, you should probably go now."
"Ah," Mordred said carefully.
He put his arms around her and leant his chin on her shoulder.
"You know, I'm never gonna let anyone like that lay a hand on you again, don't you?"
Gwen and Bobby
Gwen sighed and relaxed into his arms.
"I know... still doesn't make it any less scary... and when you were taken... I thought I'd die..."
Bobby grinned and his hand tightened on Julie's waist.
"Dance was fun... we even got to have a shower..."
Zac and Julie
Zac regarded Julie.
"Yeah, I can believe that."
Julie grinned.
"It's so much fun though."
Mordred, Vortigern and Spike
"I love you," Mordred said, kissing her gently and reassuringly.
"Not for the people who have to watch you," Vortigern said.
"Or smell you," Spike said, nose wrinkling slightly.
Gwen, Faith and Bobby
Gwen sighed.
"I know... and I love you too..."
She turned her head to kiss him again.
Faith raised an eyebrow.
"I'm soo glad my senses aren't that enhanced."
Bobby wiggled his eyebrows.
"Wanna take me for another spin, Faithy?"
"No thanks."
Zac and Julie
"I'll take you for a spin," Julie grinned.
"Julie, haven't you been listening?" Zac said. "No one here wants to know. Why don't you, Bobby and your perverted minds go elsewhere?"
"Aww, Zac, I'm hurt. Don't you have a perverted mind?"
"I at least have the dignity to do these things in private."
"Yes, and that was what was so boring about dating you."
Mordred, Vortigern, Spike and Logan
Mordred kissed her again, arms holding her close.
Vortigern rolled his eyes.
"So you should be, SLayer, so you should be," Spike said.
"It's like walking around in a cloud of pheromones."
"Tell me about it," Logan said in disgust as he entered and headed over to the fridge. He dug around in the back of it and got out one of his cans of beer.
"Stop it already. Or at least get a room. And spray some airfreshner around, or get a better deoderant. Or *something*."
He pointed a finger at Bobby and Julie, before popping the tab on the beer and taking a long swallow.
Gwen, Bobby, Rebekah and Faith
Gwen put her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly, as though she were afraid he'd disappear.
Bobby rubbed Julie's hip.
"I think people are hinting something," he said dryly.
"And, Faith, I do recall, you had no complaints about me last time around."
"Yeah, well, last time... I spent a lot of the time stoned, thanks to Oz and Dev... although, that wasn't bad. That night was actually kinda fun."
"Ugh," Rebekah said, walking in. "Do you know what it is like to constantly feel your emotions, Bobby and Julie? Zis will teach you."
Rebekah turned Bobby and Julie's arousal off completely.
Bobby pouted. "No fun."
Zac and Julie
Julie removed her hand from Bobby's pants, and sat back on her own seat.
"You suck," she said. "Now I'm bored..."
"Suffer," Zac grinned.
"I am. Really, I am."
