2 December 2003 - Arguments In The Studio

Nessa and AiMsTeR

Room69 and Alyssa

"We're very much not putting that on the album," Noah said to Adam.

"Why not?" Adam asked, folding his arms.

"Because it's a shit song," Noah replied.

"It's better than half the crap we're already recorded," he retorted.

"It is not."

"Is too!"

"Guys, what are you, ten?" Chris said, trying to difuse the argument.

"Chris! You agree with me, right man?" Adam asked.

Chris slapped his forehead lightly, knowing he shouldn't've opened his mouth.

"The track listing is shit," Adam went on.

"Well, what do you wanna do then, Adam?" Noah asked through clenched teeth.

"None of this shit."

"Ooh, things seem just a bit tense," Alyssa commented quietly to AJ.

AJ

AJ frowned slightly, watching her boyfriend squabble with the others.

"If things get too tense, I'm willing to rectify the situation," she insisted, "I don't mind having to hit a few."

Room69 and Alyssa

Noah stormed out of the room and went and sat with guitar outside, with a pen and paper.

Alyssa winced. "Hmmm, ok, this is getting ridiculous. Why don't I go knock some sense into my brother, and you talk to Noah?"

AJ

"Mmm... ok. But I'm not a very comforting person," AJ looked uneasy as she stood and made her way outside.

She spotted Noah, and made her way over to sit behind him.

Noah

Noah turned around.

"Hey babe," he said softly, then went back to scribbling some words down.

He lifted his guitar and strummed out a few chords, then paused to scribble it down on the paper.

"I'll go back inside in a minute... I just... man, Adam is so annoying."

AJ

AJ hesitated and pulled a face, then shifted a little so she was sitting directly behind him. She put her hands on his shoulders and started to give him a massage.

"Think about what you just said..." she began softly, "then think about what you would have said about him a month ago."

Noah

Noah sighed and relaxed a little.

"I know... I know, you're right... I spose I shouldn't let this record thing come between us... but yeah."

He turned and kissed her cheek.

"Thanks for sticking round."

AJ

"Noah, I've come halfway around the world - twice - to be be your side," she smiled slightly, leaning down so she could hug him from behind.

"It's not like I plan on leaving you anytime soon. Especially not over something that's going to be this great to your career. Just try not to let them get to you."

She kissed his cheek, then sighed.

"You know what you need? A bath. With lavender oil. I demand you have one when you get home."

Noah

Noah raised his eyebrow in amusement, the stud catching the light and sparkling slightly.

"You demand me? You've just gotten awfully demanding all of a sudden."

He scratched his cheek and then scribbled down some more notes.

"Ok, I think I'm ready to go in now."

AJ

AJ smiled, then kissed him again.

"Just... calm. It's all about control."

Noah, Alyssa and Adam

"Thanks for the advice."

Noah stood up and grabbed his stuff, and headed back inside.

"Everything cool?" Alyssa asked him.

"I guess..." Noah and Adam eyed each other warily, then nodded.

AJ

AJ went and sat next to Lys again, and sighed.

"Boys will be boys. Bloody hell."

She eyed off the rest of the guys, ready to take action if any more arguing took place.

Room69 and Alyssa

Alyssa sighed.

"Adam is an extreme stubborn dickhead... but Noah can be too."

Noah handed Adam the song he'd been working on.

"Looks good," Adam said quietly.

Noah smiled weakly and scribbled down a copy for everyone, and they practised it a few times, then recorded it.

"I don't know how we got like this
It used to be good, but now
It's all turned to shit
We used to be best friends
And now it's all falling apart

It's like so many things you read about
Best friends till the end they say
Then the money comes
And before you know it
It's all falling apart

But when you get down to the point
No matter how hard we try
We can't deny who we were
And who we are now
Even though it's falling apart

Coz we're all dressed up
But with no place to pretend
We've come so far
And it feels like the end
But I'll stick around
If you do too
Because best friends means
You'll get what you deserve

People trying to talk to us
Convince us to see the light
But we don't care
Coz we're not wrong
And it's all falling apart

No point in even trying
To work this problem out
They're not the friends
I thought they were before
It's all falling apart

But when you get down to the point
No matter how hard we try
We can't deny who we were
And who we are now
Even though it's falling apart

Coz we're all dressed up
But with no place to pretend
We've come so far
And it feels like the end
But I'll stick around
If you do too
Because best friends means
You'll get what you deserve

Sometimes it gets so hard to breathe
And I remember that things were so much better
Before we got this far
Can't we go back to before this started
Just be friends again?

Coz we're all dressed up
But with no place to pretend
We've come so far
And it feels like the end
But I'll stick around
If you do too
Because best friends means
You'll get what you deserve

And we're all dressed up (All dressed up)
With no place to pretend (No place to pretend)
But I'll stick around (And I will too)
Because best friends means
Best friends means
You'll get what you deserve..."

OOC: "Falling Apart" - By Nessa

AJ

AJ swayed to the music, then smiled a littled when it finished.

"Well, they seemed to have calmed somewhat. See? Music works wonders. For those who can play it, that is."

Alyssa and Room69

Alyssa nodded.

"They bounce back well..."

Adam, Noah and Pete walked out to let Chris perfect his section.

AJ

"Hey guys..." AJ greeted, swinging her legs on the chair she was sitting on.

"Everything workin' for ya?"

Room69

"Still getting that feedback shit," Adam commented, sitting down.

"Yeah, they're working on it," Noah replied, leaning over and kissing AJ's cheek.

AJ

"Meh. They'll get over it."

AJ leant up and kissed Noah back.

"Can we get something to eat soon?"

Noah

Noah stood up and pulled AJ to her feet.

"Yeah, I don't need to be here for an hour... we'll go get some lunch."

AJ

"Cool," AJ grinned.

"Where do you wanna go? I reckon there's a cafe` somewhere around here... or... McDees. Or somethin'."

Room69

"Can you bring us back some Maccas?" Pete asked.

"Yeah," Noah replied, grabbing his jacket and leading AJ out of the studio.

"Where do you wanna try first?" he asked, flipping his car keys out.

AJ

"McDees," AJ nodded decisively.

"I haven't had it for ages and it's like my stomach's pining for it. Although there are a few other thing's I'm pining for..."

She leant over and kissed his cheek.

Noah

"Could that be... me?" Noah teased as he led her over to the car and unlocked it.

AJ

"Oh I don't know..."

AJ got in the car and put her seatbelt on.

"I think if that's not the answer, you're pretty warm."

Noah

Noah got into the car and started it up, then drove to the nearest McDonalds.

"I like to think I'm pretty hot," he joked.

AJ

"Oh don't flatter yourself," AJ mock-scorned.

She leant over and kissed him again.

"That's meant to be my job."

Noah

Noah grinned and kissed her back, parking the car in the car park.

"We wanna eat in, or drive through?"

AJ

"Drive through," AJ nodded to herself.

"We gotta take stuff back with us anyway."

Noah

"Drive through it is then."

Noah drove into drive through and made the orders, paid, got the food and headed back for the studio.
