28 November 2003 - Rivendell

Nessa and Tegan

Gwen

Gwen slid off her horse and looked around in awe at Rivendell. Their stay in Rohan had been very pleasant, and they had decided to pay Rivendell another visit, as they had only stayed a few days the last time around.

"Welcome back to Rivendell," said one of the elves, standing near by.

"Diol llie," Legolas replied softly.

Gwen lifted Eavan from her seat and hitched her up against her hip, while Frodo lifted Bryant up.

Vortigern and Mordred

Vortigern looked around, humming slightly under his breath. He still had a book left he hadn't filled with sketches. Thank you, Dem and Tav! He would have gone absolutely mad without some access to his art.

"We are glad to be back," Modred said.

Gandalf, Pippin and Frodo

"Welcome back, travellers. I believe there are some people who were anxiously awaiting your arrival," Elrond said, appearing from a doorway.

"Who?" Pippin asked.

Gandalf and Bilbo followed Elrond out.

Frodo grinned. "BILBO!" He ran over and hugged him.

Vortigern

Merry and Pippin ran over as well. Sam followed more sedately.

"Hello, my boy, hello," Bilbo said to Frodo.

"And hello to you all as well."

"Hello, Bilbo!" Merry said cheerfully.

"How have the elves been treating you?"

"Well as always."

"Arwen sends her love," Vortigern said to Elrond.

The elf lord nodded, smiling slightly.

Gwen

Gandalf went to greet the rest of the group.

"It has been too long," he said, smiling slightly. "And my, how they've grown." He indicated to Eavan and Bryant, who was still in Frodo's arms.

"Much too long," Gwen agreed.

Mordred

"Arda...Lle merna aut farien? I'vakim nowa ron neeka yrchs," an elf said as he came up. (Father...shall we go hunting? The guards think they saw some orcs...)

"May I introduce my son, Elrohir," Elrond said.

"And my other son, Elladan?"

"Pleased to meet you, I'm sure," Mordred said as another elf, looking almost exactly the same as Elrohir came up. Elladan was maybe a hands width taller, but otherwise they looked very similair.

Gwen

Ok, apparently even in Middle Earth, you can't run into twins.

Gwen grinned inwardly at the thought.

"Lovely to meet you," she said softly.

"But you must be exhausted after your journey," Elrond went on.

Vortigern and Spike

Elladan and Elrohir looked at each other, then back at the group.

"We would be glad to-"

"Show them to their quarters."

"Let it never be said that the House of Elrond-"

"Was found lacking in hospitality."

"Bloody hell, they do the twin thing as well," Spike murmured to Vortigern.

"Does it freak you out that much?" Vortigern said teasingly.

"Although it's really more-"

"Dem and Tav's thing then ours-"

"If it bothers you that much-"

"We'll be quite glad-"

"To take it up again," Vortigern finished.

Gwen

Gwen looked amused.

"It's like being with the Children of The Corn."

She noticed Gandalf's confused look.

"American Pop Culture reference... sorry."

Mordred and Vortigern

Elladan and Elrohir looked interested.

"You two...are twins?"

"Yeah," Mordred drawled.

"YOu look so dissimilair..."

Vortigern grinned slightly.

"Yeah, for example, I'm the cute one."

Gwen

"Which would make Mordred to sexy one," Gwen put in.

Gandalf chuckled slightly.

"Shall we show you to your rooms?"

Mordred, Vortigern and Spike

Vortigern turned wide brown eyes on Gwen, and pouted slightly.

Spike leant over and kissed him.

"Rooms, probably a good idea," Mordred said dryly as Spike and Vortigern tried to remove each other's tonsils with their tongues.

The elves looked amused.

"Follow us then," Elladan said.

The two elvish twins started to walk off.

Gwen

They followed after them, and received their rooms.

Gwen looked out the window.

"Nice..."

Mordred and Vortigern

"Yeah...but everywhere that has elves is nice," Mordred pointed out as he came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Going," Vortigern said, sticking his head inside their room for a moment.

"Have fun," Mordred drawled.

"Plan to. See yas."

Vortigern left.

Gwen

"That's very true..."

Gwen sighed in contentment.

"I like how Rivendell is in this permanent season of Fall."

She paused.

Mordred

"S'true...." Mordred said.

"You know...we need to go back soon..."

Gwen

"I know."

Gwen turned from the window and faced Mordred.

"Nice while it lasted though... maybe we should make this our last stop..."

Mordred

"Yeah..."

Mordred kissed her gently.

"It's just so...peaceful here."

Gwen

Gwen nodded.

"Agreed."

She kissed him back.

"But when we go back, we'll be doing the moving out thing."

Mordred

"No more bloody Summers..." Mordred murmured.

"God, leaving the mansion to get away from them is almost worth it...although, I think I'm gonna hurt Dawn when I get back."

Gwen

Gwen rested her head on Mordred's shoulder.

"Sounds like a plan... remember, her blood opens portals, so make sure you don't... actually, her blood would only open a portal if we did the right rituals, yes? So if we didn't... we could still kill her without anything happening?"

Mordred

"The world would be a hell of a lot safer if she was dead," Mordred said thoughtfully.

"It would almost be like a national service..."

Gwen

"Yep, probably get a medal."

Gwen smiled and kissed his neck.

Mordred

"Mmhmmm...you know, I wonder if they've noticed Kate is missing yet," Mordred said, suddenly thinking of something.

Gwen

Gwen shrugged.

"I wonder if they care."

She walked over to the window again.

"I know I don't."

Plus, that whole killing people thing was kind of fun.

Mordred

"My wonderful dangerous girl..." Mordred purred as he walked over to her.

"So beautiful..."

He kissed her neck, hands running up and down her arms.

Gwen

Gwen turned to kiss him properly, hands around his neck.

"I love you," she murmured.

Mordred

"I love you too. I don't kill for just anyone, you know," Mordred murmured back.

"So...do we want to go take a look around?"

Gwen

"Sounds good."

Gwen took his hand.

Mordred and Faolan

They walked out of their room and slowly set to wandering through Rivendell.

Faolan landed in front of them with a scitter of paws.

"Are you being good?" Mordred asked.

Faolan shifted upwards.

"'Course!"

Gwen

Gwen squeezed Mordred's hand lightly as they continued walking.

"I'm almost tempted to stay here forever," she said softly.

Mordred

"I must admit it is tempting..." Mordred said as he looked around.

"Middle Earth...it's so beautiful. But we can't."

Gwen

"I know, it's not home."

Gwen sighed.

"I do miss home... but... this is amazing, and..."

She trailed off wistfully.

Mordred

"Maybe we can come back sometime and visit?" Mordred suggested.

"Problem is the time difference..."

Gwen

"Exactly."

Gwen shrugged.

"And you're still not old enough to eat the apple," she commented.

Mordred

"Mmm..."

Mordred looked thoughtful.

"We can stay a few more months at least," he said.

Gwen

Gwen nodded.

"We'll probably have to go back soon though..."

She thought for a moment.

"But, as you said, visits are always ok."

Mordred

"Yeah..."

Mordred sighed and kissed her gently.

"What say we go find those hobbits?"

Gwen

"Sure."

Gwen kissed him back as they walked around Rivendell in search of the hobbits.

Who weren't hard to find.

They heard Pippin before they saw him.

Mordred

"FOR THE SHIRE!" Pippin yelled.

"Right..."

Mordred shook his head slightly.

"You think Rivendell will ever recover?"

Gwen

"Probably not."

Gwen shook her head, smiling, as they walked around the corner, to find Pippin and Merry pouncing on Legolas.

"What did you do?" Gwen asked.

"I don't know..."

Mordred

"We don't know either!" Merry cheerfully admitted.

"But he deserves it!" Pippin added.

"Of course..." Mordred murmured.

Gwen

Merry and Pippin let Legolas up, who was trying to gain his dignity back by pretending it never happened.

"Poor Legolas... you ruined the elf's composure," Gwen mock scolded them.

Faolan and Mordred

Faolan sauntered around one of the hedges and licked his paw thoughtfully.

"It's like watching a cat..." Mordred said to Gwen.

"You know, when it knows it's done something stupid...so it pretends whatever it was, never happened."

Gwen

Gwen nodded.

"Except Legolas didn't actually do anything, he just got pounced on."

She giggled.

"That was actually a pretty funny sight."

Mordred and Faolan

Mordred looked at his son thoughtfully.

Faolan smirked cattishly, then pounced on Legolas's foot.

"MEW!"

Legolas sighed in restraint as the cat purred up at him.

Gwen

"I think Legolas might be almost glad to see the back of us," Gwen commented.

"You're not leaving?!" Pippin exclaimed.

"Not with that attitude..."

Mordred

"A few more months," Mordred said.

"Oh, well, that's alright then," Pippin said.

"Long as you're not going straight away..."

Gwen

"Aww, I feel the love," Gwen said, grinning.

"Yes!" Merry bounded over and pounced on her.

Pippin grinned and pounced on Mordred.

Mordred and Faolan

"Hobbits," Mordred said and he lifted Pippin under his armpits before depositing him a safe distance away. Then 'ported to make sure he was far enough away.

Faolan shifted into human and giggled, before lifting his arms to Legolas.

"Up, please."

Legolas bent and lifted Faolan.

"You alright, my love?" Mordred called to Gwen, randomly 'porting in different directions to keep away from Pippin.

Gwen

"I'm surviving," Gwen called back, writhing under Merry, trying to escape.

"HA!" Merry pounced again, grinning at her as he tickled her.

Mordred

"That's good to hear, mo cariad," Mordred said cheerfully.

Legolas removed himself from the area of conflict and sat with Faolan in his lap as they watched the action.

Gwen

"OW! SHE SHOCKED ME!" Merry exclaimed.

Gwen used that distraction to get up and brush herself off.

"Cheater," he informed her, smiling.

Mordred

"That's my wife!" Mordred said.

"At least she stays still," Pippin said as he came to a halt.

Gwen

Merry hugged Gwen's waist.

"Awwwwww," she said softly.

He grinned cheekily and pushed her down again.

"Oof!"

"FOR THE SHIRE!"

Mordred

"Don't trust them! Hobbits are tricky!" Mordred told Gwen.

"Aren't you going to help her?" Pippin asked curiously.

"Nah, Gwen can hold her own."

Gwen

Gwen shocked Merry again lightly and he yelped.

"OW! She did it again!"

"Suffer." Gwen stood up and Merry advanced on her, which led to a game of chasing.

Mordred and Faolan

Mordred sat down next to Legolas and watched fondly.

Faolan giggled.

"Having fun annoying the elf?" Mordred asked dryly.

Faolan stuck his tongue out.

Gwen

Pippin decided to join in and help Merry, both advancing on Gwen from opposite directions.

"Highly unfair," Gwen commented, looking for an escape route.

"But you shocked me," Merry put in.

"Good point..." Gwen jumped and grabbed the ledge above her, swinging her legs up and standing, staring down at the two hobbits.

"Cheater!" Merry cried.

"Am not."

Mordred and Faolan

"I think this is the time when we beat a retreat," Mordred murmured to Legolas.

"Agreed."

The two stood and Legolas swung up into the tree branches above them.

Mordred handed Faolan up to the elf and then 'ported.

"Aw, no fair!" Merry complained.

Gwen

"Haha!" Gwen said triumphantly.

"You'll have to come down sooner or later," Pippin said cheekily.

MOrdred

"Not nessacrily," Mordred said, hanging upside down by his legs. He folded his arms across his chest and looked at the hobbits.

"There's a lot of trees in Rivendell. What you bet we don't?"

Gwen

Gwen looked over at the rooftop of the next building... hmmm, she could make that jump.

She ran over and leapt gracefully onto the next roof, grinning down at Merry, who folded his arms.

"But you'll get hungry," he pointed out.

"Maybe, maybe not. We don't eat as much as you guys."

Mordred and Faolan

"No one could eat as much as the hobbits," Mordred said dryly.

He flipped himself back up and Faolan laughed.

"Nah nah nah nah!" The kitten giggled.

Gwen

Gwen sat down, watching the Hobbits.

"Please, come down, we've... we've got a present for you!" Merry said.

"Nice try. Anyway, view's nicer up here," Gwen commented.

Mordred

"Yes." Mordred nodded.

Legolas smiled slightly and then started to walk along one of the branches towards Gwen.

Gwen

Gwen smiled at Legolas as he joined her on the roof.

"Helloooo," she said.

"Come down!" Pippin said.

"Nope."

Faolan and Mordred

Faolan scampered over, claws gripping the bark tightly.

Mordred just 'ported.

"I think this could be fun," he told Gwen and Legolas.

"Look at them...so frustrated."

Gwen

"Please?!" Merry said, looking sad.

"Um... no," Gwen replied. She reached for Mordred's hand. "Very fun."

MOrdred and Faolan

Mordred chuckled and kissed her hand.

"Indeed."

Faolan pushed his head demandingly under Legolas's hand and the elf scratched behind his ears thoughtfully.

Gwen

"But um... there's a dragon and we need your help slaying it!" Pippin lied, very unconvincingly.

"Really? Well in that case... no." Gwen grinned.

Hobbits

"Told you they wouldn't fall for it," Pippin told Merry.

"What's going on?" Frodo asked as he entered the courtyard.

"GET HIM!" Merry and Pippin pounced.

Gwen

"OOF!"

Frodo fell to the ground as Merry and Pippin pounced on him.

"Perhaps it is too late to tell him to run," Gwen said, grinning.

Mordred

"Should we save him, do you think?" Mordred asked thoughtfully.

"FOR THE SHIRE!"

Gwen

"Let's think about that logically... we go down to save him, one of us ends up being the new victim."

Gwen nodded.

"See, I think, Frodo should just..."

Frodo scrambled away from Merry and Pippin and ran.

"... do that."

Mordred

"Yes."

Mordred nodded.

"Good solution to the problem. And I think we should leave before they remember we're here."

Gwen

"Good idea, where to?" Gwen asked.

Legolas jumped down from the roof.

Mordred and Faolan

"Over there looks good," Mordred said, pointing.

He dropped down next to Legolas on the other side of the hedge that built the courtyard's wall.

He held his arms up to Gwen to help her down.

Faolan landed lightly, then fled.

Gwen

Gwen dropped off the roof into Mordred's arms.

"Sank cha."

Mordred

"Quick, let's go."

The group broke into a run and got away from the hobbits clean.

Gwen

They reached a clearing and hid, Gwen almost laughing when they heard confused cries of:

"I can't see them Merry!"

Mordred

Mordred put his hand over Faolan's mouth as the boy giggled helplessly.

"Shh."

He leant his head against Gwen's shoulder as his body shook with silent laughter.

Gwen

"Where are they?" Pippin called back to Merry.

Gwen bit her lip and buried her face in her hands, giggling silently.

"Maybe they're in their rooms!"

Mordred

Even Legolas smiled slightly as they hid from the rampaging hobbits.

"Sam!" Merry called out, and there were sounds of a scuffle.

"Poor Sam," Mordred mouthed to Gwen.

Gwen

"What are you doing?" came Sam's distressed cry.

Gwen bit her lip harder, turning to bury her head in Mordred's chest.

Faolan and Mordred

Faolan's eyes rolled as he tried to keep his laughter quiet. If it hadn't been for Mordred's hand over his mouth, the pair of hobbits would have been on them like a flash.

"Mani naa lle umien?" Elrohir had started to walk past them, stopped and turned. (What are you doing?)

"Dina!" Legolas hissed. (Be silent!)

Gwen

"They're over there!" Pippin cried, getting off Sam and darting his eyes around.

"Where?" Merry asked.

"There..."

"Where?"

Gwen giggled. "Ok, time to run again."

Mordred

"Yes."

Mordred got up and boosted Faolan into the tree above them.

Elrohir looked at them in amazement, before Pippin and Merry came charging around the corner.

"FOR THE SHIRE!"

Mordred and Legolas more or less jumped into the tree.

Gwen

Gwen concetrated for a second and turned herself to electricity, then floated up to the roof again, out of reach. She turned back to human and sat down, tired for a second.

"NO FAIR!" came Pippin's cry.

Mordred

Elrohir backed away slightly as Merry turned thoughtful eyes on him.

Mordred reached down a hand and the elf grabbed it, using the leverage to get into the tree.

"Are they mad?" he asked the people who knew the hobbits.

"No, just playful," Mordred said dryly.

Gwen

"PLEASE!" Merry yelled. "WE WON'T POUNCE YOU!"

"Yes we will," Pippin said.

"Shhh, we're not telling them that," Merry replied.

Gwen laughed. "Nice try."

Mordred and Faolan

"C'mon, let's move."

Mordred stood and followed Faolan across from one tree to another.

"Your balance has really improved during your time here," Legolas commented.

"Gee, thanks."

Gwen

Gwen stayed on her place on the roof, watching Merry and Pippin carefully.

Pippin grinned and then turned and pounced on Merry. "FOR THE SHIRE!"

"Oof!"

Mordred

"Now they're fighting against each other, they should forget about us," Mordred commented as he swung down onto the ground in a new corridor of the gardens.

"Let us hope so," Legolas said.

Gwen

Gwen jumped off the roof and headed over to where she saw Mordred and Legolas.

"Hmmm... fun... haven't played that sort of game since... actually, I've never played that."

Mordred

"Awww..." Mordred said, hugging her.

"What in the world is going on?" Frodo asked in a confused voice.

"Why are Merry and Pip..."

"Pouncing people? Cos they think it's fun?" Mordred said, shrugging slightly.

Gwen

"If anyone dares to get close to them, tell them they're not allowed to eat," Gwen said, grinning evilly.

"I'll tell them the elves are fasting," Frodo said, going off to tell them just that.

"Hmmm, we've been a bad influence on that hobbit," Gwen remarked.

Mordred and Faolab

"Think about it, Gwen...he's saved the world. He's *noble*."

Mordred rolled his eyes.

"There's something wrong with it?" Elrohir asked in confusion.

Mordred gave him a look.

"Well, duh!" Faolan said, rolling his eyes reproachfully.

Gwen

Gwen nodded.

"Indeed. Anyway, I'm gonna go check on Eavan and Bryant."

MOrdred

"Alright love," Mordred said.

"Just...mind you don't get caught by the hobbits."

Gwen

That was easier said than done.

Gwen waved and walked away and was almost at the steps when her legs gave out and Merry was on top of her.

"GOT HER!"

Mordred

"And you're not...worried for her in the slightest?" Elrohir said slowly.

Mordred shook his head.

"Oh no. It's Merry you should be concerned about."

Gwen

"MERRY, GET OFF!"

"MAKE ME!"

"Ok, you asked for it!" Gwen shocked him and he flew a few feet into the air, as Gwen got up and ran for it.

Mordred

"RUN, GWEN, RUN!" Mordred yelled after her like the girl did to Forrest in 'Forrest Gump'.

The elves looked at him, confused.

"My world, culture reference. You won't get it."

Mordred shrugged slightly.

Gwen

"OW! SHE SHOCKED ME!" Merry shouted.

Gwen jumped over a wall and kept going, giggling to herself.

Mordred

"C'mon let's go," Mordred told the elves.

They climbed into one of the trees, and soon were gone before Merry and Pippin could spot them again.

Gwen

Gwen snuck back to her room, undetected, and checked on the babies.

They were sleeping.

Speaking of which...

Gwen yawned and lay on her bed, closing her eyes for a moment.

Mordred

Legolas, Elrohir and Mordred started discussing swords, Mordred balancing Faolan on one knee.

Elladan came to find his twin, and soon entered into it.

"You should see my brother's..." Mordred told the twins.

"They're called katanas. He uses two."

"Two?" Elladan said, looking interested.

"Interesting technique..."

Gwen

Gwen sat up and stood, then went out for a walk. She ran into Gandalf on the way, and they walked around Rivendell, talking.

Vortigern and Spike

"Spike...not here! We're outside! In *Rivendell*!" Vortigern hissed, slapping the vampire's hands away.

Spike pouted at him.

"C'mon, luv..."

"No!"

Elrohir looked up suddenly.

"Trees. Now."

"Why?" Elladan asked.

"Mad hobbits."

Gwen

Gandalf and Gwen came walking over, and just as Pippin and Merry were going to strike, Gandalf looked at them with a piercing gaze.

"PEREGRIN TOOK AND MERIADOC BRANDYBUCK!" he boomed.

Merry and Pippin stopped moving.

Mordred

"See, that? That was scary," Mordred said admiringly.

"Almost beats Logan...except Logan is just beast."

Gwen

Gwen giggled.

"Haha, you got in trouble!"

Merry and Pippin looked at each other, then at Gandalf, and decided against pouncing.

Faolan and Mordred

Faolan, having far less developed survival instincts (or just higher belief in his own immortality), shifted into cat and stalked the hem of Gandalf's robe, before pouncing, then running away at high speed.

The corner of Gandalf's eye twitched.

Mordred put a hand over his mouth to hide his laughter. He could see the tip of Faolan's tail moving back and forth slowly in preperation for another pounce.

Gwen

"Merry?"

"Yes Pip?"

"I'm hungry."

"Big surprise," Gwen said, rolling her eyes.

Gandalf looked for Faolan, carefully.

Mordred and Faolan

"You're always hungry," Mordred said.

"You eat more then Logan does...and seriously, the man can eat."

"We're Hobbits. We always eat more then other people," Merry said.

Faolan edged closer, body flat to the ground and ears laid back against his skull.

Gwen

"Can we eat now?" Pippin asked.

"What a silly question, of course we can!" Merry exclaimed.

"You could have some Lembas," Legolas offered.

Gwen wrinkled her nose. "Ugh."

Faolan and Mordred

Before Faolan could pounce, Mordred darted his foot out. The kitten pulled up short and Mordred grabbed him.

"Don't."

If kittens could pout, Faolan was pouting.

Gwen

"Awwwie," Gwen said, looking at Faolan. She reached for Mordred's hand.

"Lembas!" Merry bounced.

Faolan and Mordred

Faolan pouted harder.

"No. The pout is not getting you out of this," Mordred told his son.

The pout got even more pronounced, even in a feline face.

Gwen

"I hear Elrond is preparing a feast for you tonight," Gandalf said, chuckling slightly.

Merry and Pippin suddenly looked very interested.

"Feast?"

"Tonight?"

Gwen giggled. "And you guys aren't invited."

The two hobbits pouted.

Mordred and Faolan

"What is with all the pouting today?" Mordred asked, setting Faolan on the ground.

"Mean!" Faolan accused him.

"Maybe. My perogative though."

Faolan pouted harder.

Gwen

"Why can't we go to the feast?" Pippin asked, tugging lightly on Gwen's skirt.

"You may come if you stop pouncing us," Gwen replied, an evil glint in her eye.

"Ohhhhh."

Merry and Pippin looked at each other.

"Fine."

Mordred

"Pout, evil pout," Mordred murmured to himself as Faolan turned his back on his father and then shifted into his wolf form and ran off.

"Pretty sure he doesn't get that from me..."

"Masterful handling of the situation, Gwen," Legolas said to her.

Gwen

"Thank you, Legolas," Gwen said, smiling.

She turned to Mordred.

"Oh he gets that from you."

Mordred

"I don't pout," Mordred told her firmly.

Pippin and Merry snorted.

The teen turned an evil glare on them.

"I bloody well don't."

Gwen

"And now he's shirty," Gwen said.

"Very shirty," Pippin chimed in.

Mordred

"Grrr..." Mordred growled, then stood.

"Elrohir...you were going to show me where you train?"

"Of course..." the elf murmured softly.

"Come."

Elladan, Elrohir and Mordred walked off.

Gwen

"See, totally shirty," Gwen drawled, grinning at Pippin and Merry.

"Very... now what was all this about a feast?" Merry asked.

Gandalf chuckled. "Come, my friends."

Vortigern and Spike

Vortigern grabbed his book and ran away from Spike. The vampire mock- growled and gave chase.

With a laugh, Vortigern rounded the corner and grinned at the group.

"Hi alls. Going now."

Vortigern held his book between his teeth and climbed into a tree.

"Right..." Spike looked around.

"He's up there," Merry said helpfully.

"We're going to a feast now."

"Feast?"

Vortigern looked down in interest.

"Come to think of it...I am kinda hungry."

Spike reached up and pulled Vortigern out of the tree and into his arms.

Gwen

Legolas took Gwen's arm and followed Gandalf to the feast.

"Feast!" Merry and Pippin yelled, bouncing slightly.

"I think they're excited," Gwen said dryly.

Vortigern and Spike

"Bloody hell, how would you ever guess?" Spike said dryly.

Vortigern chuckled and hit his lover lightly on the arm.

"Don't be mean."

"Can't help it, luv, it's my nature."

Gwen

They were seated at their table for the feast.

"Ale, Merry, ale!" Pippin whispered to Merry.

Merry's smile was as wide as Pippin's.

"You know... maybe you hobbits should cut back on the ale," Gwen said.

The two hobbits gasped.

Mordred and Vortigern

Mordred entered with Elladan and Elrohir, talking good naturedly.

He slid into a seat next to Vortigern as the twins went up to sit with their father.

"So. What did I miss?"

"Nothing much," Vortigern said.

Gwen

Elrond made a speech, and then everyone began to eat.

"How long do you intend to stay with us?" Legolas asked Gwen quietly.

"We can't stay much longer," Gwen replied. "A few months more, though, at least."

Mordred, Vortigern and Spike

"Then home," Vortigern said, flipping through the pages of his half filled sketch book."

"Back to the mansion," Mordred said.

"God help them when we go back," Spike said dryly.

Gwen

"But you'll come again?" Frodo asked.

Gwen shrugged. "I hope so."

Mordred and Faolan

"We plan to...but life..." Mordred shrugged slightly, indicating the vaguity of fate.

The feast progressed normally. The hobbits ate more food then anyone there. Faolan managed to not pounce on all the myriad moving things that offered themselves as targets.

Gwen

"I think... I think I'm full," Merry said.

Pippin gasped. "Surely not."

"That must be a crime in the hobbit community," Gwen said, grinning.

Mordred and Spike

"Well, not exactly," Merry hedged.

Mordred chuckled slightly and drank from his cup of ale.

"They do serve up a lot of nosh though."

"Too right," Spike said.

His mug was filled with blood, not ale.

Gwen

Gwen stifled a yawn.

"I think I shall go to bed," she said quietly.

"Would you like me to take you?" Legolas asked.

Gwen looked at him. "Thank you... but I think I'll be alright."

She stood up and bid everyone goodnight, then headed out, and walking around for a bit before she went to her room.

Spike, Vortigern and Mordred

"I think that we, are also off," Spike said, helping Vortigern off the seat.

"C'mon, luv."

The two left.

Mordred stood.

"Night all."

He started walking towards his and Gwen's room.

Gwen

Gwen lifted her skirts slightly and ran up the stairs, and into her and Mordred's room.

Eavan and Bryant were still sleeping peacefully.

Mordred

Mordred entered their room quietly.

"Hey, love."

Gwen

"Hey."

Gwen turned from where she was looking at the children and smiled at Mordred.

Mordred

Mordred crossed over to her and gently kissed her forehead as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Love you."

Gwen

"Love you too."

Gwen kissed him and sighed softly against his lips.

Mordred

Mordred lifted her easily into his arms and kissed her again as he walked over to the bed.

"What would I do without you?"

He laid her gently on the bed, and looked at her for a moment.

Gwen

"Um... use your hand?"

Gwen smiled cheekily at him.

MOrdred

"Cheeky girl..." Mordred murmured as he he leant over her to kiss her.

"Not what I meant and you know it."

Gwen

Gwen kissed him back, tongue playing with his stud.

"I know..."

She reached down and slid a hand down his pants.

"Love you."

MOrdred

"Love you too," Mordred said huskily.

"Always."

He kissed her again as he started to remove her clothes.

Gwen

Gwen kissed him back, her hands working to get his pants off, then moving up to help him get his shirt off.

"Mine."

Mordred

"Yours," Mordred agreed.

He kissed her again, hands smoothing their way down her sides.

"Love you."

Gwen

"I love you too."

Gwen leaned up and kissed him softly, stroking him in her hands.

MOrdred

Mordred kissed his way down the center of her body, paying particular attention to her breasts on his way down.

"Always..."

He flicked her stud with his tongue.

Gwen

Gwen's back arched off the bed.

"Ahh, always..."

Mordred

Mordred murmured his agreement as he used his tongue to its best adavantage.

Gwen

"Goddddd..."

Gwen moaned softly, and let her hands run through his hair.

Mordred

"Mine." Mordred thought to her almost defensively.

He hummed around her stud.

Gwen

"Ohhh.... yours... Goddddddd."

Gwen moaned and writhed slightly on the bed.

Mordred

Good. Because I love you, and I'm yours. Just like you're mine.

Mordred flicked her stud lightly with his tongue before sliding it inside her.

Gwen

"Always..."

Gwen moaned loudly as she came.

Mordred

Mordred kissed his way back up before claiming her mouth with his.

"Forever."

He slid inside her with one thrust.

Gwen

Gwen moaned loudly.

"Oh God... forever..."

She kissed him again.

"I love you."

MOrdred

"Love you, mo cariad. Always and forever, Gwen..."

Mordred moaned as he thrust inside her.

Gwen

Gwen caught his mouth in a kiss.

"Goddd... Mordredddd, ohhhh!"

She clenched around him, hips bucking up.

Mordred

"Gwen!" Mordred cried out, shuddering as he came inside her.

Gwen

Gwen moaned as she came, claiming his mouth for a kiss.

She smiled at him.

Mordred

"Love you," Mordred murmured, smiling back.

He kissed her again, slowly and gently.

Gwen

"Love you more."

Gwen kissed him back, hands around his neck.

Mordred

"Competitive thing..." Mordred murmured.

He put his arms around her waist and looked at her through half closed eyelids.

Gwen

"Ah, yes..."

Gwen smiled lazily.

"Didn't get to be so good at what I do by sitting back and doing nothing."

Mordred

"No," Mordred agreed.

He moved them both so they were spooning comfortably. He kissed her softly.

"Love you."

Gwen

"Love you too."

Gwen kissed him back and drifted to sleep.
