Storm
Storm watched as her class filed out of the room, then pakced her things up. She left them on the desk, and picked up the information sheets, pamphlets and permission slips she'd run off then headed to Professor Xavier's office, knocking on the door lightly.
"Professor? May I speak to you for a moment?"
Xavier
"Certainly, Ororo, come in."
Xavier looked up from the paperwork he had been completing.
"I needed a break anyway. The things mankind will never escape. Death and Taxes..."
Storm
Storm opened the door and ventured into the office, walking over to his desk.
"I had hoped you wouldn't have to come home to so much work... we did try and get most of it done..."
She shook her head.
"But I digress... I came to ask you if you were still keen on the school camp idea?"
Xavier
Xavier steepled his fingers and looked at her.
"I think that would be a good idea. The children need more occasions to be just that...children. And it will give them something to tell their parents about when they go home...the ones that still do."
Storm
Storm smiled.
"Thing is, we need about... 10 or more students to show interest."
She placed the information on the desk in front of him.
"These are basic things I've been working on."
Xavier
"I'm sure we can find ten or more students who will," Xavier said as he picked the papers up.
He leafed through them slowly.
"You've been very thorough, Ororo. Which location do you think would be best?"
Storm
"Thank you, Professor."
Storm smiled slightly.
"Well there were a few... I thought in New York, there is Darien Lake, but for a change, it would be nice for the students if we took them to Australia..."
Xavier
"Australia..."
Xavier looked thoughtful, and shuffled the papers until he found the ones she had given him for that location.
"Yes...I think that would be a good idea."
Storm
"I thought it would be a good experience."
Storm cleared her throat.
"Especially since some of them have never left the country before."
She tucked some hair behind her ear.
"And it might be a good time to get away from problems here, just for awhile."
Xavier
"Very good point..."
Xavier nodded slowly.
"Well, I think I can leave this in your obviously capable hands."
Storm
Storm stood up.
"I'll leave you with the information, I have copies."
She turned to leave.
"I guess I'll post an anouncement for it then. Thanks for the time, Professor."
Xavier
"My pleasure, Ororo."
Xavier returned to his paperwork with a small sigh. He had some rather glaring mistakes to correct...in Jean's handwriting.
