24 November 2003 - Putting the fear of God into the Watcher

Tegan and Michelle

Wesley and Demetria

Wesley sighed and rang the mansion.

"Hello, Xavier's school for Gifted Youngsters, how may I help you?" A pleasant female voice said.

"Good morning, this is Mr Wyndham-Pryce. I was wondering if I could talk to Miss Edgerton-Smythe please."

"Speaking. How are you, Wesley?"

"I'm quite fine, Demetria. I was wondering if you could bring me to the mansion? There were some texts of Professor Xavier's that I needed to recheck..."

"Certainly, Wesley. My pleasure."

"Just a question...why are you answering the phones?"

"Detention."

"Ah."

Wesley smiled slightly.

"I'll come get you then. See you in a flash."

Wesley hung up and waited. It didn't take long for Demetria to appear. He stood and gathered a bag of texts together, before she put her hand on his shoulder and teleported them both to the mansion.

"I better get back to reciption...before Scott pegs I'm gone."

With a smile and a wave, Demetria disappeared.

Wesley pushed his glasses slightly back up onto his nose, then started walking towards the library. It should be...oh heavens, he was totally lost.

Julie

Julie was on her way to the nursery to pick up her twins from the new baby sitters (whoever's idea that was should get a medal) when she spotted someone in the hallways she didn't recongnise.

Wearing leather.

Suffice to say, Julie's "Hottie Radar" was blaring.

She walked over to Wesley and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hey cutie, haven't seen you 'round here before."

Wesley

Wesley jumped slightly and turned around.

"Ah, hello. I was just looking for the library...silly of me, I should know where it is after spending time here recently but I must admit I've managed to get myself lost."

Julie

"And how. The library is on the other side," Julie grinned. "Come, you let Julie show you the way."

She linked arms with him.

"So, do you have a name? Or shall I continue to call you cutie, cutie."

Wesley

"Ahh..."

Wesley blushed slightly and stammered.

"My name is Wesley Wyndham-Pryce...and you would be?"

Julie

"Julie," she replied. "Julie Williams."

Aww... she was making him nervous.

Well, as long as he wasn't gay, this should be fun.

"And why the interest in our library, Wesley?"

Wesley

"Professor Xavier has certain rare texts that I needed to have another look at...concerning some prophecies. Amongst other things."

Wesley managed not to stutter.

Julie

"Oh I see," Julie replied, leading the way.

Bor-ring! Leather shouldn't look that good on nerds. It wasn't right. Julie traced his ear with her finger.

"You're interested in prophecies huh?"

Wesley

Wesley blinked and looked down at her, more then slightly confused. Women did *not* do this with him. Angel, yes. On occasion, Connor and Gunn. But women did not flirt with one Wesley Wyndham-Pryce.

"When it means the difference between dying and staying alive...or the possibility of the world ending, yes."

Julie

"Well, that's... umm, noble, I suppose," Julie said. "You into heroism a lot?"

So uptight... how amusing.

Wesley

"Ah, you could say that. I work in Los Angeles usually. With Angel...who if you've spent any length of time with Spike, will know usually as various descriptive nicknames..."

Wesley smiled slightly.

"Mostly unkind."

Julie

Julie chuckled.

"The question is... does he deserve them?" she mused. "Oh... were you the same Wesley I was talking to online the other day? The one who knows... Anya is it? Who's starting a nightclub?"

Wesley

Wesley visibly twitched in shock.

"Ahhhh. Yes."

Julie

Julie's grin brightened.

"Well, well, such a small world," she said.

Instead of having her arm linked with his, she put it around his waist.

Wesley

Wesley blushed.

"I really don't think this is appropriate behaviour," he protested weakly.

Julie

Julie rested her other hand on his shoulder.

"Oh? Why's that?"

Wesley

"Because...ah..."

Wesley bit his lip.

"I'm sure that the professor would not approve."

Julie

"So?" Julie asked. "I'm most assuredly legal, cutie, so what does it matter what he thinks?"

She lowered her hand so it was resting on his backside.

Wesley

Welsey jumped forward slightly.

"I *really* do not think that this type of behaviour is acceptable."

Julie

There was no denying the grin of delight on Julie's face.

"Oh, you're just as uptight in person! I do like a challange."

She gave his behind a pinch.

"C'mon, the more uptight you are, the more you need to get laid."

Wesley

"Gah!"

Wesley blinked in shock. This was reminding him rather shockingly of that brief infatuation with Cordelia when she'd been in high school. And *that* had *not* ended well.

Julie

Julie smirked.

"You know you want to. Or at least... junior does."

Wesley

Wesley stammered something as he tried to gently remove his person from Julie's hands.

"I, I, really don't think..."

Julie

"Good," Julie grinned. "Thinking just gets in the way."

Wesley

Damn it, why wasn't she a demon? He knew how to *deal* with demons. Teen girls who apparently wanted to get into his pants were not what he was used to dealing with.

"Ah..."

Wesley tried to think of a diplomatic way to make her let him go.

Julie

"Well, here we are. The library," Julie grinned. "Unless of course, you've changed your mind and rather come back to my room?"

Such a fun game.

Wesley

"Ah, no."

Wesley's blush got more pronounced.

"Duty calls, I'm afraid."

Julie

"Oh well, can't blame a girl for trying," Julie replied.

She cupped his face in her hands and kissed him.

"Maybe some other time," she teased as she pulled away.

Wesley

"Ah...perhaps."

With a thankful heart, Wesley escaped into the library.

Dear god.

Julie

Julie stuck her tongue out a little in delight as she sauntered off. So easily flustered, Wesley was. She hoped she'd see him again. She loved to play these games.
