The Eye
Late that night, The Eye rang Mouse's phone, knowing from contacts that he would only get an answering machine.
"Greetings Mousey," he said. "Just wanted to call and... see how you were doing. It's a shame I had to kill your parents all those years ago - they were two of my best operatives, and I was so looking forward to having another empath on my staff. I've always prefered to train agents from children - much better learners, and no past training to re-educate. Just think! You could have been engaged to Christian, not Taylor. Oh well, these things happen, I suppose. Your parents wronged me, and as I told Taylor, the punishment is death. And yes, Miss Hall, you can take that a warning. Have a nice day."
He hung up with a little smirk on his face.
