Isaac and Miette
Isaac and Miette arrived in Australia. After sleeping off their jetlag, they prepared to go hunting for The Eye and Taylor.
"And how exactly do you propose to start?" Isaac asked over breakfast. "Perth is a big city."
Miette shrugged.
"They have to staying somewhere."
"There's nothing to say they're even in the city any more."
"Oh quit being such a poopyhead," Miette replied. "It's not just the two of us, you know."
"I know, I know. You have your followers scowering the place," Isaac shook his head. "I still can't believe you started a cult."
"Why not?"
"It's just... nevermind."
Miette smiled.
"You finished eating yet? We have our own searching to do."
Isaac smiled and nodded.
The two finished preparing, and then set out. At about midday though, it was getting very hot. Isaac looked over at Miette in concern.
"Mi? Are you okay?"
"It's just so hot..."
"And it's no picnic sitting next to you either," Isaac thought.
"Yeah... it's summer here. Say, there's a beach over there by the looks for things, want to go for a swim?"
Miette nodded. Isaac rang the bell and they got off the bus. He gave Miette a look of concern as they headed to the sand.
"Mi? Are you... are you sweating?"
Miette nodded weakly.
"Can't... can't handle hot temperatures very well. I don't dress like this now because I'm a slut you know."
"Oh! So, this is like, a fevor or something?"
"Mmm hmm."
"Here let me -"
"No! No, don't touch me. You'll only get burnt."
Isaac stopped, then started to support her telekinetically.
"It's not far now," he assured her.
Sure enough, Miette soon made it into the water - fully clothed, bar shoes, which Isaac took off telekinetically for her.
"Ahh..." she sighed happily. "Much better."
Isaac smiled, stripped off his shoes and short and joined her.
"Good," he said. "This happen often?"
"Not when I figured out that hot temperatures react badly with me. I guess I forgot that the seasons are reveresed in the other hemisphere," Miette sighed.
"Maybe you should stay here until the heat of the day is over," Isaac said. "But I should probably get some sunscreen for myself, or I really will burn."
Miette smiled.
"Okay."
