Gwen
"A! Elbereth Gilthoniel!
silivren penna miriel
o menel aglar elenath,
Gilthoniel,A! Elbereth!
We still remember, we who dwell
In this far land beneath the trees
The starlight on the Western Seas..."
Gwen smiled sadly as she listened to the elves sing, their voices threading together as though their harmony was a way of weaving an intricate web that only they could see. She turned to the elf who had led her into Lothlorien, so long ago.
She was now 9 months pregnant, due any day, and enough time had passed in her dimension, and it was now time to go home.
Gwen placed a hand on her stomach, soothingly rubbing, as she looked around the magickally lit forest. She was dressed in a long elven, silver dress, her long brown hair falling in perfect waves that framed her face. A silver pendant in shape of a star hung around her neck, and small matching earrings adorned her earlobes.
"Priss, na sinome rato." The elf smiled at her. (Priss, be here soon.)
Gwen nodded. "Diol llie nesh iluve." (Thank you for everything.)
"Na varna." (Be safe.)
"Llie vithel." (You also.) Gwen looked up as she waited for Priss.
Priss and Mordred
Priss smiled, and began to open the portal.
Mordred was chainsmoking again.
"Erdo!" (Open!) She ordered the portal, and it did so. "Aaye!" (Hail!) She greeted the elves within the portal.
"Cormamin lindue ele lle," (My heart sings to see you) the female elf who had been with Gwen from the first said to the female cat.
"Nae saian luume." (It has been too long.)
"Oio naa elealla alasse'," (Ever is thy sight a joy) Priss answered smiling.
"Gwen!" Mordred said, a little shocked by the sight of her extremely pregnant stomach.
"Times passes quicker there," Priss reminded him.
Gwen
Gwen turned back to the elves. "Namaarie," she said, a tear slipping down her cheek. (Farewell.) "Ent diol llie." (And thank you.)
She reached a hand out and caressed Mordred's face. "Amin liy," she whispered. (My love.) "Mordred." She smiled.
Mordred and Priss
Mordred leaned his face into her hand.
"I missed you...how long has it been here? It's been only two days outside but it seemed like an age without you."
The female elf watched with a fond look.
"Min." (Love.) She sighed slightly.
"Aa' menle nauva calen ar' ta hwesta e' ale'quenle," (May they paths be green and the breeze on thy back.) she said to all three of the otherwordly visitors.
"Lissenen ar' maska'lalaith tenna'lye omentuva," Priss said in return. (Sweet water and light laughter till next we meet.)
Gwen
Gwen smiled sweetly and took Mordred's hand, putting it on her stomach.
"It's been eight months... a lifetime without you, my darling boy."
She leaned over and kissed him gently.
Mordred and Priss
Mordred kissed her back, teeth nipping lightly at her bottom lip.
"You look so beautiful, my love..."
Priss and the elf conversed in a flurry or rapid Elvish, then Priss turned back.
"I can always arrange that the two of you can come back to a visit, but we must go."
"Well, you heard the cat."
Gwen
Gwen held Mordred's hand and looked at the elf. "Diola lle, melloneamin." (Thank you, my friends.)
Another tear fell from her eye. "Tenna' san'." (Until next we meet.)
Priss and Mordred
The elf nodded gracefully as the trees of Lorien echoed songs of sorrow at Gwen's leaving, her and the children she carried.
"Aa' lasser en lle coia norm n'omenta gurtha," she said in her rippling voice, then seemed to fade into the trees. (May the leaves of your life never tutn brown.)
"Naamarie!" "Naamarie!" "Naamarie!" A chorus of farewells came from the trees.
"Naamarie!" Priss called back, waving.
Then she took Gwen and Mordred's hand and stepped back through the portal.
It closed slowly behind them, leaving the scent of trees to hang in the air for a moment, and a lilt of bubbling laughter and quicksilver speech.
Gwen
"Thank you, Priss," Gwen said quietly, entwining her fingers with Mordred's.
She leaned over and kissed Mordred's cheek.
"Home sweet home."
Priss and Mordred
"While Middle Earth is beautiful, this is home, always," Priss said quietly.
"But if thee should ever wish to return some time after the children are born...with they Wolf, I would be glad to take thee. Fare thee well."
Priss nodded at them both, then disappeared.
"I'm so glad to have you back."
Mordred hugged her carefully, head on her shoulder and just smelling her scent.
Gwen
Gwen kissed his cheek again.
"I'm glad to be back... it's been too long without you."
She smiled and smoothed down her dress.
"I should get changed."
She took Mordred's hand and placed it on her stomach.
"Can you feel them kick?"
Mordred
Mordred eyes widened as he felt one of the babies kick powerfully.
"That is so..."
He shook his head slightly, lost for words.
Gwen
"Amazing?"
Gwen smiled.
"It's good to see you again, finally."
She touched her back gingerly.
"Could we sit down though?"
Mordred
"Yeah, uh, sure..."
Mordred helped her to sit down on the bed.
"I wish that I could have gone with you..."
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"It was so amazing... but time, it was so different."
She reached out to touch his face tenderly.
"I missed you, my darling. What happened here without me?"
Mordred
Mordred's face tightened briefly in anger.
"Buffy came back for the day of Dawn's birthday. Stupid little Summers bitches...so f*cking selfish..."
Gwen
"Wow, people back from the dead... things did get more excited while I was gone," Gwen said dryly.
"Anyway, shall we go see everyone? It's been so long since I saw anyone other than elves."
Mordred
"Oh, and there's a new Key."
Mordred smiled briefly.
"He'll probably be with Faith. He took like one look at Dawn and leapt into Faith's arms, babbling for her to save him, according to Octavian."
Gwen
Gwen grinned.
"See, I go away and all this cool stuff happens. What does this Key do?"
She lifted her leg slightly.
"Hello feet, how I've missed seeing you."
Mordred
Mordred laughed slightly.
"Opens portals to heaven with his blood, apparently. And of course, if heaven actually became connected to earth..." he trailed away meaningfully.
Gwen
"Ah, taintedness."
Gwen patted her stomach slightly.
"Stop with the kicking. I can tell, that one is going to take after you."
Mordred
Mordred grinned.
"As long as one of them's a girl and looks like you. And if they're both boys? Then we try again."
He kissed her tenderly.
Gwen
"Try again?"
Gwen raised an eyebrow.
"As long as I can spend the time in Lorien again. Where morning sickness was at an all time low."
She kissed him back.
Mordred
"I would like to spend time in Lorien," Mordred said.
"I'd like to meet the elves."
Gwen
"It was nice. We should go back."
Gwen grinned and leaned over to kiss him.
Mordred
"Mmm."
Mordred kissed her.
"So. Should we go say hello?"
Gwen
"That might be nice. It's been months since I saw everyone."
Gwen paused thoughtfully.
"Ok, days for you."
Mordred
"Two days," Mordred said.
"But they'll understand that it's been a while for you. All they have to do is look at your stomach..."
Gwen
"Who knows I'm pregnant? Otherwise we're gonna have some shocked kids on our hands."
Gwen smiled slightly.
Mordred
"Not that many people, I think..." Mordred said carefully.
Gwen
"Well, this is going to be exciting for some people, isn't it?"
Gwen got to her feet slowly.
"Pregnancy is highly overrated. You should be glad you can still see your feet."
Mordred
"I am, everyday," Mordred said solemnly.
"Let's go show off your big, beautiful belly."
Gwen
Gwen raised an eyebrow.
"Hardly."
She sighed.
"I miss my feet. And days without back pain."
They walked out of the room.
Mordred
"But it'll be worth it, right?" Mordred nuzzled her neck.
"And you are beautiful like this."
Gwen
"Yes, it'll be worth it."
Gwen turned to kiss him.
"I love you."
Mordred
"I love you too."
Mordred kissed Gwen back deeply.
"I love you so much..."
Gwen
"Darling boy."
Gwen took his hand and started to walk slowly from their room.
"Ok, where are we going?"
She frowned for a second.
"Do you know how unfamiliar this is all to me now?"
MOrdred
Mordred chuckled quietly.
"Would you rather go to the rec room, or the caf? Or do you want to see Angel first?"
Gwen
"I can see Angel later."
Gwen shrugged.
"Caf? I'm not that hungry, but after eating Lembas bread for eight months, I'm looking for a change."
Mordred
Mordred laughed.
"Lembas? What's that, exactly?"
They started walking to the caf.
Gwen
"It's this bread type thing... and one bite fills you up... but after eating only that for eight months..."
Gwen shook her head.
"After all, variety is the spice of life."
Mordred
"Well, I don't know what they have for lunch today..."
Mordred nuzzled her neck briefly.
"But I'm sure we can find something that doesn't involve bread."
Gwen
Gwen turned her head to kiss him.
"Please... no more bread. I'm going off bread. In a few months I might start eating it again."
Mordred and Demetria
"Nothing with bread. Got it."
They entered the caf.
"Gwen, darrling. You look...remarkably pregnant," Demetria said in some slight surprise.
Gwen and Bobby
Gwen smiled.
"I don't know whether that's a good thing or not."
She waved at Bobby who looked incredibly surprised to see her so pregnant.
"Hi Gwen... uh... you were only gone five days, yes?" he asked.
"Yeah, but it was eight months for me."
The Mavericks
"You look marvelous," Demetria said.
"She does," Mordred agreed.
"Gwen, welcome back!" Vortigern said cheerfully.
Gwen
Gwen smiled.
"Thanks guys."
She slowly sat down.
"How have we all been without me?"
The Mavericks
"Alive," Demetria said dryly.
"There have been ominous happenings," Octavian said.
"Dawn is a nuisance."
"And a fool. She's doing something..." Octavian shook his head slightly.
"It's causing ripples in the magic."
Faith and Gwen
"It's because all Summers's are idiots. Oh hello Gwen," Faith greeted. "And my, how you've grown in five days."
Gwen grinned. "Hey Faith. And yes, I have."
"Clearly." She slid into a seat at the table. "I have an idea on how we can annoy Dawn. She's very private about her diary, as most people are..." Faith began.
The Mavericks
"Oh yes." Octavian grinned.
"That sounds perfect," Demetria sighed.
"She is such a perfect little nuisance. We need to join a new coven, Tavvie."
"Or not be part of one at all, Dem," Octavian said.
Faith and Gwen
"Yeah, I mean some of the best witches worked alone, not in covens," Faith said.
Gwen rested her head onto Mordred's shoulder.
Demetria and Octavian
"Maybe, Tavvie, we should go to Tulsa," Demetria suggested.
"Learn from the Charmed Ones."
"They would have to know more then Dawn," Octavian said thoughtfully.
"And I would much rather learn from teachers I respected."
Faith
Faith nodded. "They have been doing it much longer than Dawn. And they have an older Book of Shadows. A real one, even. Not that Dawn's isn't real."
Octavian and Demetria
"Isn't a breach of copywrite?" Octavian asked.
"I wouldn't have thought you could have two Books of the same sort..."
"Yes, exactly!" Demetria agreed.
"Castor and Pollux were talking about how there many different types of Books for covens. Each one dedicated to their strengths. A different god in charge of each one."
Faith
Faith shrugged.
"Probably. All I know is that the Halliwells have had theres... since... forever. It's been passed down along a long line of Warrens and then Halliwells. Their family tree is confusing. I'm not even going to go into it."
She smiled.
"But if you want to learn from them, I'll get Piper to give you a call, she'd be glad to teach you. She's like potions whiz."
Demetria and Octavian
"That would be lovely," Demetria said.
"Truthfully, Dawn may have many strengths, but teaching is not one of them."
"Well, that just seems to be a family trait," Octavian said cuttingly.
Faith and Gwen
Faith nodded.
"A world of agreement. The Summers's are all... they're good at pretending to be something they're not. Smart."
Gwen giggled. "That I can agree with." She frowned and then grinned widely as she held up Faith's engagement ring. "Oh yeah, I still have it."
"And now I'd like it back," Faith said, holding her hand out.
Gwen nodded and complied. "Who's it from?"
"Zac. We're engaged," Faith replied, smiling.
"About bloody time," Gwen commented. "Congrats."
"And congrats to you, and the fact that you can still steal stuff."
"It's a talent."
Mordred and Demetria
"Gwen has many talents," Mordred said, kissing her cheek.
"You were going to teach me how to do that," Demetria said.
Gwen and Faith
Gwen grinned. "Why thank you, amin liy."
She turned to Demetria. "That's right, I was. Hmm, well, there isn't so much I can do now, except, I can probably teach you how to do..." She held up Faith's necklace. "Stuff like that."
Faith gaped. "Why are we demonstrating on me?"
"Because you're the closest to the pregnant woman."
MOrdred and Demetria
Mordred chuckled.
"She's just that amazing..."
"So, teach, oh wise and benficent mistress of the art of ambidexterity," Demetria said, smiling slightly.
Gwen and Faith
"The key is most likely distraction, you keep eye contact at all times, and then no one realises when you've..." Gwen grinned and held up Faith's watch. "You really should pay more attention, Faith."
Faith shook her head. "I really should learn to stop sitting near you."
"True..." Gwen laughed. "Most likely, you'll have to touch the person at first, but once you get really good at it, then you won't have to. Getting rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches, earrings... it's all fairly simple, as long as you know what clasps they have an all that."
She held her hand out to Demetria. "Ok, now look me in the eye, and talk normally, and slide my ring of my finger." She placed her hand flat on the table.
Demetria
"But you know I'm going to try and do it," Demetria said as she looked at Gwen.
"Doesn't that slightly defeat the purpose? But I think Remy might be a bit shocked if I did steal something of his without him noticing...it's worth learning."
She held up Gwen's ring.
"How was that?"
Gwen and Faith
Gwen grinned.
"That was good. Well the purpose was the teach you, and I wanted to know what your technique was going to be like, but you're a fast learner, that was barely a whisper on my finger."
She paused.
"Things from pockets will vary in difficulty, depending on the pocket, I guess, but once you can do one, you can basically do it all." She held up Faith's wallet.
"Gee, again with stealing my stuff." Faith rolled her eyes.
"Pockets are easier to pick, for obvious reasons, but they are no less impressive. People keep good things in pockets."
Demetria and Octavian
"They do quite. Tavvie, have you been talking to Devon again?" Demetria said dryly as she placed a plastic bag full of weed on the table.
Octavian chuckled as he swiped it back.
"Have, did."
Gwen
Gwen grinned. "Illegal substances? Dear me, Tav..."
She patted her stomach gently. "Stop kicking. Anyway, when I'm no longer as big as a house, I can probably show you how to break into a place in under a minute. Although... you could of course just port in and out. But not all of us were born with that talent."
The Mavericks
"A little bit of grass never hurt anyone," Octavian defended himself.
"Except you when people tell you to do things..." Demetria murmured.
"Hush, Dem."
"It is a rather useful talent," Mordred said.
Gwen and Faith
"Yes, well some of us had to learn to be stealthy," Gwen said.
"Well, you could always kick the door in. I find that gets the right result," Faith put in.
"Not exactly stealthy."
"No, but people usually get scared out of their wits. Pssh, like a door could really protect them," Faith replied.
"I didn't get to be a master thief by kicking doors in and letting people know what I was doing," Gwen said, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, you employed your time by picking locks and breaking alarm systems."
"Hey, I can crack even the most difficult alarm system in under 10 minutes. I'm good at what I do," Gwen grinned, and preened slightly.
Mordred and Octavian
Mordred chuckled and bit her earlobe gently.
"I'll say..."
"Please, keep sexual innuendo to a minimum," Octavian said.
"We're married. You should be pleased to see that matrimony doesn't mean the romance dies."
"I plan never to get married."
Gwen and Faith
Gwen grinned and let her hands discreetly go under the table to stroke Mordred through his jeans.
"If we got you stoned enough, you'd probably agree to getting married," Faith commented, then looked at Mordred and Gwen. "And good, I'm glad to hear that, because if getting married meant no more sex, then I would tell Zac that this whole thing is off."
Mordred and Demetria
Mordred hissed his breath in through his teeth.
Demetria stared at him, then looked at Gwen.
"Can't you just not? I mean, really!"
Gwen and Faith
"Hey, it's been eight months!" Gwen protested, her hand stroking harder.
"Five days," Faith replied.
"Eight months for me. Eight lonely, lonely, months."
"Five days. I think you'll survive."
Mordred and Demetria
Mordred nuzzled her neck, breathing slightly harder.
"I'll have to come next time."
Demetria winced almost impercitably.
Faith
"Oh you'll come," Faith grinned. "And I'd love to stay and watch these two get wound up... ok, no, actually, I wouldn't... so I'm going to go far away, far out of hearing and viewing range."
Gwen smiled. "Jealous much, Faith?"
"Nope." Faith waved and left.
Gwen returned her attention to Mordred's crotch. She leaned over and whispered in his ear. "Why don't we go for a walk, love?"
Demetria and Octavian
"Sounds like a great idea. See you two later, alright?"
"Quite," Demetria said dryly.
Octavian chuckled.
Gwen
Gwen slowly got to her feet and took Mordred's hand as they left the caf.
"So, where to?" she asked coyly.
Mordred
"Garden?" Mordred suggested.
He squeezed her hand gently.
"God, I missed you Gwen..."
Gwen
"I missed you too."
Gwen touched his cheek.
"The elves were cool, but it was nothing without you, amin liy."
Mordred
"What does that mean, amin liy? You keep calling me that..."
Mordred paused and kissed her.
Gwen
Gwen smiled.
"It means, 'my love'. And that's you."
She chuckled.
"I had a lot of time to learn the language. And the songs, and dancing, it really was a nice place to be. It's be nice to go back, and maybe visit Rivendell."
Mordred
"So, it was really Middle Earth like in the books?" Mordred asked.
"See any Hobbits?"
Gwen
Gwen grinned.
"No Hobbits, unfortunately... lots and lots of elves."
She sighed happily.
Mordred
"Should I be jealous?" Mordred asked, raising an eyebrow slightly.
Gwen
"Of being there, yes... but it was nothing without you."
Gwen chuckled.
"Legolas did try and teach me how to use a bow and arrow, and it was discovered that I officially suck."
Mordred
"I didn't think that was possible," Mordred teased.
"I wonder if Shannon's people are related to the elves of MIddle Earth..."
Gwen
Gwen smiled.
"Oh it was possible. But he was very persistant, but sweet. He looked after me some."
She entwined their fingers.
"And Galadriel looked into the mirror for me."
Mordred
"What did she see?" Mordred asked.
"And Legolas wasn't so sweet I have to hurt him, was he?"
Gwen
"Aww." Gwen kissed his cheek. "Neh enna ras teshuel llie baramin aul amin corm, A'maelamin." (No one could take your place in my heart, my beloved.)
She paused.
"It was none too clear... but she said it will be happy for us."
Mordred
"That's good to hear."
Mordred put his hands on her waist.
"We deserve some happiness."
Gwen
"Yes, we do..."
Gwen leaned over and kissed him softly.
"Amin naa llie ten'oio... ent llie naa hab."
She shook her head.
"Sorry... I am yours forever and you are mine..."
Mordred
"You'll have to teach me. It's pretty."
Mordred smiled.
"Sounds nice..."
Gwen
Gwen smiled back at him.
"It was... I wish you'd been there, you would've loved it. The elves sing their songs all the time, and they would tell tales... Legolas told me of the ring, and it was so amazing."
She touched his cheek.
"Do you suppose if we went there, and years past in Lorien, you would be old enough to take the apple, back here?"
Mordred
"That's a good point..." Mordred said slowly.
"But if we go for that long, I would want Vortigern to come as well...and that means Spike."
Gwen
"Well, that's not really a bad thing. As long as we all stayed safe and kept our hands to ourselves."
Gwen looked thoughtful.
"We should've been elves, they're all good looking, and we surpass them in all ways."
Mordred
"I'll keep my hands on you..."
Mordred kissed her.
"And I'm sure Spike and Vortigern will keep their hands on each other."
He frowned suddenly.
"Any idea what the elves would think about two males being involved in a relationship?"
Gwen
Gwen giggled.
"I don't think it would bother them. They are... very... free, with their love."
She kissed him again.
"You better keep your hands on me, and not on any female elves, or I will be most angry, and I will have to find myself a male elf."
Mordred
"Well, we couldn't have that," Mordred said.
"I bet Fao would love it..."
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"And..."
She touched her stomach.
"I'm sure they would as well... the elves would like to see how our children turned out too, I'm sure."
She sighed in contentment.
"I wish you had come, you would've loved it. You could've trained with Legolas, gone horseback riding, and paddling through the streams..."
Mordred
"Well. Maybe we should go there for a few years, their time."
Mordred kissed her cheek.
"Maybe once Glory's gone..."
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"Would be nice."
She closed her eyes for a second.
"We should do that. Anyway, I think I need to sit for a bit."
Mordred
"Of course..."
They walked through the gardens for a bit, and then found a bench to sit down on.
"It sounds like a nice place."
Gwen
Gwen nodded and leaned over to kiss him.
"The only flaw was your absence."
She shook her head.
"Oh I'm talking like an elf. Blah."
Mordred
Mordred chuckled slightly.
"Well, after eight months with them, I'd be surprised if you didn't."
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"Good point."
She stretched lazily.
"Oh darling love, I kept thinking you'd forget about me while I was away."
Mordred
"It was only five days here," Mordred reminded her.
"You'd have to be gone much longer then that for me to forget you."
Gwen
"That's reassuring then."
Gwen smiled and ran her hands over her large stomach.
"So anything else newsworthy happen here? Besides what you already told me?"
MOrdred
"Not really," Mordred said thoughtfully.
"There was general annoying Summersness...I didn't go to detention. Again."
Gwen
"You're getting in a habit of that, aren't you?"
Gwen winced slightly.
"And one of your children is getting in a habit of kicking. Must've picked it up from your genes."
MOrdred
"Jean keeps giving me detentions. I just don't show up."
Mordred shrugged slightly.
"The prof doesn't care. So I'm not worried."
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"And how is the professor doing?"
Mordred
"Alright, I think."
Mordred kissed her cheek.
"He's fully recovered from any drugs they were giving him. But...I think the fact that we couldn't get anymore then two kids out hurts him."
Gwen
Gwen sighed.
"But at least we saved those two... two down, right?"
She sighed again.
"Stupid Glory, and stupid damn Dawn for being the Key."
Mordred
"No arguements here," Mordred said.
He leant his head against the back of the bench and clenched his fist.
"And damn her for being such a selfish little bitch. Why is she the only one who's deemed to have suffered enough that their dead family comes visiting?"
A tear trickled down from his closed eyes.
Gwen
Gwen leaned over and wiped his tear away. She kissed him softly.
"A'maelamin, amin liy," she whispered.
Mordred
Mordred put his arm around her shoulders and leaned his head against her neck.
"Damn it, it's not fair...it doesn't seem to matter what happens, she gets this thing that means whatever she wants happens. And she brings a bloody hell god after her..."
Gwen
Gwen kissed his head.
"A'maelamin, it's not fair, I know..."
She took his hand and squeezed it.
"But take consolation in the fact that she has no friends?"
Mordred
Mordred laughed slightly.
"Oh, she has her friends...Jess Hanson, her boyfriend...that Animorph. Adam's an alright guy, but you can tell why the girl's get along with her. They're all great whiners who believe the world owes them something for the *suffering* they've gone through."
Gwen raised an eyebrow.
"Their suffering is nothing on what most of the other students have been through."
She squeezed his hand.
"They really need to learn that."
Mordred
"They're all so incredibly self absorbed they'll never see it..."
Mordred sighed.
"Sergei was in a lab for two years. I don't even want to think about what must have happened to him in there. And then he gets out and finds that his entire family was killed in a car crash while he was inside.
"Jono...I think there's a lot of his past that he shows in the songs he writes. And if that's right, then it's not very pretty.
"Me and Vort...well, Vort's nearly died twice. And then in the labs..."
He shook his head slightly.
"Our father died crossing a road, hit by a joy riding kid. And my mother married an abusive alcoholic, and I still haven't managed to get Siobhan here all the time. I'm worried one day we're going to get a phone call from the police...or the morgue.
"Octavian and Demetria don't show their scars on the outside. They're all mental. Neglectful, emotionally abusive parents and shit like that...
"But none of us think the world owes us something. You know?"
Gwen
Gwen squeezed his hand and kissed him again.
"I know... and the truth of it is, the world does owe you... you all deserve so much more than what's been given to you."
She sighed.
"I don't think Dawn will ever learn... she's very frustrating. According to Faith, she used to hate her, on account of Faith trying to kill her and Buffy, but now, she's all 'I love you', which kinda freaks Faith out some. Can't blame her really."
Mordred
Mordred laughed slightly.
"Dawn functions under the illusion that deep down, everybody actually likes her."
Gwen
"Well, I hope that keeps her happy enough to shut the hell up about her problems."
Gwen frowned.
"Ok, I'd like to blame that on hormones, but that was all me."
Mordred
Mordred chuckled and kissed her.
"You only say what everyone's thinking..."
Gwen
Gwen grinned.
"Well, part of my charm, I guess."
She kissed him back.
"I guess I'll have to learn to be tactful for our kids."
Mordred
"Mmmm..."
Mordred kissed her neck.
"I'd rather they be truthful."
Gwen
Gwen smiled and kissed him properly.
"Oh I missed you."
Mordred
"I missed you too, mo cariad."
Mordred kissed her again.
"Next time, I'm coming with you."
Gwen
"You better."
Gwen smiled.
"Hey we should actually look into houses again..."
Mordred
"That's true."
Mordred kissed her neck.
"But please, somewhere far from Dru. And we get the Halliwells to put up a shitload of spells."
Gwen
"Agreed. She can't come in normally anyway. Hmm, that's something we have to teach the kids... don't invite anyone in that they don't know."
Gwen sighed.
Mordred
"Never invite anyone in after dark."
Mordred frowned.
"God I hate that bitch."
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"Yes, all vampires without souls are a big no no."
She leaned over and kissed his frown.
"And of course our kids are going to have powers from birth... so they'll be coming here, as soon as we can bear to part from them..."
Mordred
"But not boarding," Mordred said firmly.
"If we live in NY, they won't have to."
He laughed suddenly.
"They wouldn't have to anyway. Knew there had to be more good things about my power."
Gwen
Gwen laughed.
"True... wow, we're not gonna get all Brady Bunch are we?"
She wrinkled her nose.
"Have a maid and a dog? And a picket fence? Coz if so, I'm running away. Far away."
Mordred
"No picket fence," Mordred promised softly.
"But a dog would be good. No maid either. Servants are a pain."
Gwen
"Later down the track... when I'm ready to retire from the thieving business."
Gwen wrinkled her nose.
"Please don't tell me that you and I are going to be those boring office nine to five people."
Mordred
"Love, we couldn't be boring if we tried."
Mordred kissed her gently.
"Who knows what I'll do as a job."
Gwen
"I could be a check out chick."
Gwen's face reflected the disgust she felt for that profession.
"No, ew, I won't ever sink to that. Thieving works quite nicely for me, ta muchly. You know," she said thoughtfully. "You could probably get into that too."
Mordred
"Probably a good idea of one of has a legitimate source of income."
Mordred chuckled softly.
"IRS gets so picky about things like that...though we could make Tav set it up. He understands money."
Gwen
"It's legitimate."
Gwen grinned.
"I always say I deal in antiques. And I do... sorta."
Mordred
"If we give some money to Tav, we won't have to worry. He made his first million by playing the stock market when he was ten."
Mordred ran his fingers through her hair.
"I'm not sure how much money he has now exactly...in his own right, not what he's going to inherit."
Gwen
Gwen nodded, and lifted a hand to touch his cheek.
"We could do that, actually, we probably should."
She patted her stomach.
"Of course, we could always send our kids to work in a poorly ventilated sweat shop," she joked.
Mordred
"There's always that."
Mordred nipped at her bottom lip with his teeth.
"But I don't plan on doing the Catholic sketch from Monty Python and the Meaning of Life. So we won't have to sell them to medical sience."
Gwen
Gwen grinned.
"But every sperm is sacred."
She kissed him properly.
Mordred
Mordred chuckled slightly.
"But I'm a Protestant. We don't hold with that type of nonsense."
Gwen
Gwen grinned.
"Oh wait, no I'm Catholic."
She raised an eyebrow.
"So yes, every sperm is sacred."
Mordred
Mordred chuckled.
"Then we should have thousands of children."
Gwen
Gwen mock glared at him.
"Alright, if you want to give birth."
She placed his hand on her stomach.
"Let's just have these two, and see what happens."
Mordred
"Yes. That sound's good."
Mordred rubbed his hand gently over her bump.
"I wasn't planning on having kids for ages...laughed at that Amish kid cos he was going to be married when he was 18 to some girl back where he came from. And I end up getting married before he does...
He looked thoughtful.
Gwen
"Spose it's too late for an abortion..."
Gwen grinned.
"We could always put them up for adoption."
She kissed him softly.
"Well, at the rate we were going, I'm surprised I didn't get pregnant sooner."
Mordred
"Good point."
Mordred smiled.
Gwen
"Anyway, let's go back to the room, I think I need to get some sleep."
Gwen yawned, and smiled tiredly.
Mordred
Mordred nodded, and 'ported them both back to their room.
He helped Gwen into bed and then sat at his desk to finish some homework.
