Angel and Gwen
Angel flipped through one of Wesley's books, looking for information on any rituals that could involve Serafina. His eyes scanned down the pages, and he was about to try another book when a particular passage caught his eye.
Angel took a pen and a notepad from the desk and started to translate it, grabbing an Italian dictionary to help him.
In the eleventh month, in the two thousand and third year, the eve of the full moon shall bring about a terrible price. She, who touches the storm, and yet is not harmed, will fall. Three lives, entwined within one, will be lost. Her loss will bring about an end for all, for that is her destiny.
He thought for a minute, then he realised.
Gwen.
Angel stood up and snapped the book shut, and went to find Gwen.
"Gwen."
She turned around. "Hey, what's up?"
"We need to talk."
An hour later, Gwen was on her way back to her room, feeling dazed. The full moon was in two days time, and if she was around for it, she was going to die. That was not really a comforting thought. Angel had suggested opening a portal, but that also was not a comforting thought. There wasn't enough time to work it out, they needed a solution, and quickly. She found Mordred and hovered behind him for a moment, not knowing what to say to him, not even really knowing what was going on, herself.
"Mordred? We kinda need to have a chat."
Mordred
Mordred turned to look at her.
"What's up, love? You seem kind of...tense."
Gwen
Gwen bit her lip and walked over to Mordred.
"I have to leave."
Mordred
"What...why?"
Mordred took her hands in his and looked at her with a little bit of fear because of what it might mean.
"Where do you have to leave to?"
Gwen
Gwen kissed him softly.
"Angel found... he found a prophecy this morning... involving me and..."
She took his hand and placed it on her stomach.
"We're having twins, by the way."
Mordred
"Twins?"
Mordred looked up at her.
"But I don't get why...what prophecy? What does it say is going to happen?"
Gwen
"The full moon is in two days, and if I'm still here, then I'm going to die. And that's going to bring about an apocalpyse."
Gwen's face saddened.
"Apparently that's my higher purpose in life."
MOrdred
"Oh god..."
Mordred hugged her carefuly, kissing her neck and face.
"Then you have to go. I'd rather...rather not see you then you be dead."
Gwen
Gwen kissed him back, her hand squeezing his.
"The only problem is where I'm actually going to go. Angel suggested opening a portal, but I don't know... it has to be somewhere that I know is going to be safe."
Mordred
"As long as you're safe..."
Mordred rested his forehead against hers and put his hand on her stomach.
"And as long as they are as well."
Gwen
Gwen gave a small smile.
"Maybe Cordelia could see about... I don't know. I honestly don't know where to go."
MOrdred
"Mmm..."
Mordred thought for a few moments.
"We could ask the cats?"
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"It doesn't have to be very long."
She held a hand to her stomach.
"Just long enough for me to avoid the full moon. And probably the two days surrounding it."
MOrdred
"It'll be alright..."
Mordred kissed her forehead.
"Do you want to ring them or should I? Or should we get Angel to?"
Gwen
Gwen sighed.
"I'd rather you do it. If that's alright. God, I'm such a hassle."
Mordred
"You're not a hassle," Mordred denied.
"You're wonderful..." he kissed her cheek, "beautiful," he kissed the other cheek, "and infinetly amazing."
He kissed her properly.
Gwen
Gwen smiled and kissed him back.
"Thank you... but you have to say that because we're married."
She touched his cheek lightly.
Mordred
"I say it cos it's true."
Mordred gave her a serious look.
"Are you calling me a liar?"
Gwen
"No."
Gwen lowered her eyes to look at the ground.
"I'm sorry, I'm just... I don't feel very amazing."
She sighed again.
"So, you'll ring the cats?"
MOrdred
"You're an amazing beautiful woman."
Mordred held her close for a few moments.
"I'll go call Priss then, shall I?"
Gwen
Gwen nodded.
"Please."
She ran a hand absently through his hair and kissed his forehead.
Mordred
"Ok, going now..."
Mordred rested his head against her shoulder and made no effort to move.
Gwen
Gwen pulled her cell phone out of his pocket.
"You're not going anywhere..."
She put her arms around his waist.
Mordred and Priss
"Mmmm...that's my Gwen. Smart woman."
Mordred kissed her again as he took the mobile and dialled Priss's phone number.
Priss looked up as the phone rang and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Priss? This is Mordred Lewllyn."
"Wolf, is that not so?"
"Yeah, that's me...Look, I got a favour to ask you."
"Ask away, dearling."
"Gwen needs to leave this dimension over the time covering the full moon. Has to be somewhere safe. It's a prophecy thing."
"That wilt not be a problem."
"Thanks Priss."
"Tis my pleasure. I'll come and get Gwen when it is time."
"Bye."
"Bye."
Mordred hung up the phone.
"Well, that was easy."
Gwen
Gwen smiled.
"Well at least that's settled."
She kissed Mordred gently.
"Thank you."
Mordred
"For what? If you don't want to talk to the kitty, I'm quite willing to do it for you."
Mordred put his hands on her hips and swayed her gently.
Gwen
"I don't know how I'll spend a few days away from you."
Gwen rested her head on his shoulders.
Mordred
"We've been through worse."
Mordred kissed her gently.
"It'll be ok, Gwen. It'll be ok."
Gwen
"I know."
Gwen looked at him with fearful eyes.
"You'll take care of yourself while I'm gone?"
Mordred
"Yes," Mordred promised.
"I'll be here when you get back."
Gwen
"You better be," Gwen said, in mock warning. "If I get back here to find you gone, you'll pay when I find you."
She raised an eyebrow.
Mordred
Mordred grinned.
"Or maybe *you* would pay."
He nipped at her neck.
Gwen
Gwen moved her head to allow him greater access to her neck.
"I doubt it. I could make you pay quite nicely..."
She lazily ran her hands over his back.
Mordred
"So you think..."
Mordred licked and sucked on her neck, kissing and generally behaving like a vamp with an oral fixation.
"Depends on your definition of nice."
Gwen
Gwen grinned as her hand slithered down to the waistband of his pants. She moved it round to the front and lowered her hand, stroking him gently.
"I think you'd enjoy my definition of nice."
Mordred
"Ahhhh..." Mordred moaned.
"Well, if it includes things like that..."
Gwen
Gwen raised an eyebrow and pulled her hand from his pants. She unzipped his fly and pushed his pants down, then lowered herself to her knees and licked at his length, teasing him.
Mordred
"Oh goddd, Gwen..."
Mordred looked down at her and stroked her hair.
"*Such* a tease."
Gwen
Tease, hey?
Gwen stood up, kissed his cheek and left the room, giggling to herself.
MOrdred
"Bloody hell..." Mordred sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
What the hell had brought that on?
Gwen and Bobby
Gwen went into the caf and found Bobby sitting by himself. She went over to join him.
"Hey Gwen."
"Hey Bobby, what's doing?" she asked, sliding into the seat next to him.
"Not much, just procrastinating before I do my homework. What about you?"
"Ah, same old, getting Mordred sexually frustrated by winding him up and leaving the room."
"Really, really didn't wanna know." Bobby wrinkled his nose.
"Hmm, kinda sucks for me though, coz I'm antsy."
"Gwen! Argh, go, go back to him, and ugh, don't talk to me anymore. And... you know how much of a bitch you are for doing that, right?"
"Yep." Gwen stood and grinned, tossing her hair over her shoulder as she went for a walk around the mansion.
Mordred and Vortigern
Mordred slammed into the garage, cursing.
Vortigern paused in his painting.
"Don't even ask."
"Fine, I won't." Vortigern shrugged as his twin threw himself onto the couch he kept for people to pose on sometimes.
Vortigern painted while Mordred fumed.
Gwen
Gwen walked into the garage.
"Hey Vort... oh, hey Mordred."
She grinned cheekily.
Mordred and Vortigern
Mordred shot her an evil glare and kept picking at the fabric of the couch with a chipped fingernail.
Vortigern sighed slightly.
"Hello, Gwen."
Gwen
"Awww, Mordred's not talking to me."
Gwen raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Well, I'm feeling kinda antsy, but if he's not in the mood, then I'll just go find myself someone else."
She opened the garage door.
"Happy painting, Vort."
MOrdred and Vortigern
Mordred growled.
"Thanks, Gwen," Vortigern said carefully.
You know, saying that might not be the smartest thing you've ever said. He said to Gwen privately.
Gwen
"I know..."
Gwen giggled and pulled her car keys from her pocket. She headed out the front of the school and unlocked her car, hopping in and driving into the city.
Mordred and Vortigern
Mordred's hands clenched into fists and he made a visible effort to calm himself.
"You know...she's being such a cock tease," Vortigern said as he painted blue onto the picture.
"It's my cock she's teasing, I bloody well do know," Mordred growled.
"So...gonna go after her?"
"F*ck, no. I'm too pissed off."
Gwen
Gwen hummed to herself as she got out of the car. She locked it and looked around for a second. What to do...
She looked around a few of the shops, then drove back to the mansion, heading for her room to have a sleep.
Mordred and Vortigern
A pile of cigarette butts was growing next to Mordred as he chain smoked his way through his second pack.
"You know, you get lung cancer before you eat the apple, there's no garuntee that'll be healed up," Vortigern pointed out.
Mordred just growled, and lit up another cigarette.
Gwen and Angel
Gwen looked up as there was a knock on the door.
"Yeah?"
Angel opened the door and stepped in as she grabbed her stomach slightly.
"Ahh."
"You ok?" Angel walked over, peering at her.
"Yeah... I think... my stomach kinda... oww!"
"Turns out my translation was a little wrong... you have to go now."
"What? Ow!" Gwen sat up and clutched at her stomach. "How do I get in contact with Priss?"
Mordred and Vortigern
Mordred looked up, startled.
"Gwen."
He 'ported.
Vortigern shook his head slightly, and started to clean up the mess his twin had left.
"What's wrong?" Mordred asked Gwen worriedly.
Angel and Gwen
Angel looked at Mordred.
"She's... she needs to go now, otherwise it'll be too late."
Gwen moaned softly. "Oww. I'll be alright... it just, ah... stings, slightly. Ah... can you get... Priss?"
Mordred and Priss
"Right, right."
Mordred nodded, and then got Gwen's mobile out of her pocket.
"Priss? Change of plans. She needs to go now."
"On my way," Priss said pleasantly.
The cat appeared in a glow of white light.
Gwen and Angel
Gwen looked at Priss through pain filled eyes.
"Hi there, owww."
Angel chewed his lip thoughtfully.
Mordred and Priss
"Greetings, Angel, Gwen, Wolf," Priss said calmly, before she hurried over to Gwen.
Mordred watched with worried eyes.
"Do not fret so, everything is going to be...perfectly alright."
Priss placed her hands over Gwen's stomach and concetrated slightly.
"Angel, what is the prophecy?"
Gwen and Angel
"In the eleventh month, in the two thousand and third year, the eve of the full moon shall bring about a terrible price. She, who touches the storm, and yet is not harmed, will fall. Three lives, entwined within one, will be lost. Her loss will bring about an end for all, for that is her destiny," Angel recited. "But other books seem to dispute it being the eve of the full moon, and say that the eve of the full moon is when the end will come. Which means, she'd have to... earlier."
Gwen closed her eyes and reached for Mordred's hand.
"I'm sorry..." she whispered.
Priss and Mordred
"Ah ah, destinies can be...fiddled with."
Priss looked thoughtful for a moment.
There's nothing to be sorry for. Mordred told Gwen, squeezing her hand lightly.
"There is a place I can go...but time passes quickly there, and while I can take thee there, I cannot stay. Thou wilt be safe, however."
Gwen
Gwen looked at Priss, then at Mordred.
"I love you, darling boy."
She winced and looked back at Priss, then nodded.
"Ok, as long as I'll be safe."
Priss and Mordred
I love you, Gwen.
Mordred kissed her hard and desperately.
"Come back to me."
Priss tactfully averted her eyes as she started to draw up the portal.
Gwen
"I will, I promise," Gwen whispered, kissing him back and putting her arms around his neck. "I love you, don't forget that."
She squeezed his hand and watched Priss open the portal, feeling her stomach jump.
Priss
Priss looked back at the two lovers and smiled slightly, before turning to face the portal again.
"Edro!" The portal flared and Priss looked through it. "Mae govannen!"
"Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo, Illith," a female voice exclaimed in delight. A pale woman with golden hair and upswept, pointed ears, dressed in hunting greens and browns stepped out of the portal.
"Merin sa haryalye alasse," Priss said formally.
"Vedui' il'er," the woman said in greeting to the room.
"Westron, please," Priss requested.
"As you say, melamin," the woman said agreeably.
"So, is this the one? I can sense life shining inside her..."
Her eyes flickered from Gwen to Angel and she frowned, hand going to the hilt of her belt knife.
"Ya naa tanya?" She demanded of Priss.
"He is a friend, do not worry," Priss said soothingly.
The woman gave Angel a suspicous look.
"He is touched by Shadow."
"Yet a Champion of the Light. You must go soon."
"A. Come then."
She turned back to the portal.
"Come, child."
"Go with her, you will be safe," Priss said to Gwen.
Gwen
Gwen stood and kissed Mordred one last time before walking to the portal.
"Thank you, Priss," Gwen said softly.
She turned to look at Mordred, smiling with sad eyes as she followed the woman through the portal.
"I'll be back soon... stay safe."
Mordred and Gwen
"I will. You too."
Mordred bit his lip.
"She will be," Priss said comfortingly.
"Stand back," she warned as she started to close the portal.
"I will fetch you when the time has passed here in this world."
The portal started to close slowly.
Gwen and Angel
Gwen watched as the portal closed, standing back slightly. She looked down and noticed her pregnancy had just started to show.
"Goodbye," she whispered as Mordred disappeared from her line of vision.
Angel nodded at Priss. "Thank you for your help." He left.
Mordred and Priss
Priss sighed and patted Mordred's shoulder.
"She'll be fine."
"I hope you're right..."
Mordred already looked the worse for wear and she'd barely been away for five minutes.
The woman smiled at Gwen as she led her deeper into the trees.
"Welcome...to Lothlorien."
Gwen
Gwen followed the woman, looking around.
Lothlorien...
Where the elves lived.
She smiled.
She would be safe here.
