Faith and Angel
"Enjoying the sun, now that you can?" Faith asked as she followed Angel outside.
He turned around and grinned at her. "I don't want to get used to it, but - "
"You are incredibly pale," Faith interrupted.
"Well, I haven't been in the sun for 244 years... or more..."
"That's no excuse. You can buy fake tans, and plus, those solariums. You know, cancer in a box... which you don't have to worry about anyway..." Faith looked thoughtful.
"Ok, well, was there a point of this talk, besides you harrass me about my skin?"
"Kinda." Faith's face broke into a huge grin. "Zac and I are engaged."
"Congratulations, Faith." Angel moved to hug her.
"Thanks... it was pretty sudden, but... it feels right, you know?"
"Well, I don't know, because I'm not you or Zac, but from what I can see, you're both going to be happy, yes?"
"Stupid question."
"I realised after I said it," Angel said, smiling.
"Anyway, we're going ring shopping tomorrow, and then... I don't know... it just doesn't feel real, you know? It's like a dream."
"Well you deserve it."
"Yeah, and now Gwen can't be all smug coz she's married and I'm not. Ha!" Faith grinned cheekily. "Anyway, you, I order you to go to the pool... you pasty bastard."
"Thanks Faith..." Angel raised an eyebrow at her.
She grinned. "Sorry. But you can't be mean to me today, because... because I'm wicked awesome." She turned and left.
