3 November 2003 - So I guess this is goodbye?

Tegan and AiMsTeR

Spook

Christina smoked a cigarette moodily and scratched RK's ears.

Christian would be going today.

She could hear him packing up.

God, she'd screwed this up badly, she knew that. But she hadn't exactly been sane at the time. That had to count for something, right? Wrong.

Christian

Christian sighed as he washed his hands in the bathroom.

He couldn't say he was sorry he was leaving. He couldn't say the stay had been enjoyable. He could say he was glad to see the last of her, but he wouldn't. He didn't trust her emotional state for one thing.

He washed his face, careful around the eyebrow ring. He knew she probably wouldn't give him a chance to kill her on the way out. The truce was definately over in his books.

Spook

Christina kept his powers carefully blanked out.

She knew he wasn't a very happy hunter, and he might decide to try and kill her on the way out.

She tapped the cigarette butt on the edge of the ash tray, her now fully green eyes hidden behind black shades.

RK mewed and she petted his head, listening for the sound of Christian coming out.

The cat sighed. Silly two leggers.

Christian

Christian took a deep breath, watching himself in the mirror, before leaving the bathroom. He had nothing to take with him, so he headed for the front door.

Stepping outside, he closed his eyes, deciding on what to do. The best course of action was most likely to head back to Tulsa and find... Chloe. Definately not Steel.

Spook

Christina shrugged her shoulders slightly

"See you then, Christian. Good hunting."

RK ran to the door and mewed up at Christian, then looked back at Christina.

Christian

Christian looked down at RK, then leant over and scratched the cat behind the ears.

He glanced over his shoulder for a moment, scratched his nose, then began down the driveway without a word. He knew he had to get out of her range before he could create a bike to get back to Tulsa on. He also know it'd probably take a couple of days again.

Spook

Christina sighed, then smoked her cigarette again.

RK glanced between her and where Christian was walking away down the road and started wailing.

"Shut up, RK."

She got up from the table and stubbed the cigarette out.

"You want him so f*cking badly, follow him. But take it from me...he don't want you."

The cat's forlorn wails continued.

Christian

Christian hesitated, hearing RK wailing. He turned back for a moment, then took another deep breath.

"HEY GREENIE?" he called out.

He waited until he spotted her in the door, then puts his hands in his pockets and smiled slightly.

"You know... you were the first person to see my cry in over fifteen years..."

He raised his eyebrows, then turned again, disappearing around the corner.

Spook

Christina looked after him thoughtfully, then looked down at RK.

The cat had mostly subsided now.

"Well. That's interesting to know."

She smiled slightly.

"C'mon, RK. I need to pack...and then we get to start running again. Joy."

She headed back inside, RK padding at her heels.

Christian

Christian kept testing his atom manipulation on his sunglasses until he knew he was out of her range.

He found an old tree on the side of the road, and made his way over. He began to make a bike, that he could use to get back.

When it was finally forned, he made himself another cap, but it on backwards, revved the engine, then headed back for Tulsa.
