Gwen
Gwen quietly crept around the dark corridor of the building. She stuck to the walls and the shadows. She found the room she was meant to enter and picked the lock, creeping inside to find two secuirty guards, asleep in their chairs.
"Ah, now now boys, no sleeping on the job."
She walked in between them and extended her hands to their faces, sending electric shocks into them, and killing them, instantly.
"Shocked to see me?" she said, giggling. "Ah, safe."
Gwen walked over to the safe and cocked her head for a second, then a large grin spread over her face.
"Oh, a new electrical system... didn't count on me, I guess."
She pressed her hand over the lock and the door sparked, then swung open. She reached in for the scrolls and tucked them into her bag.
"Hmmm, instant cash. Better than the lottery."
"Hold it right there!"
Gwen turned arounbd to see a security guard, pointing a gun at her head.
"Or you'll what, shoot?" She extended her arm and shot a spark at him, killing him. "Too late. Ooh," she said, spotting the security camera. "Have to fix that." She walked over to it and cut the systems, then went searching for the office. She found it and kicked the door open.
"Hi guys, can I play too?"
"What are you, who are you?"
"I'm Gwen," she said cheerfully, before turning her body to electricity and bouncing herself off the walls, killing everyone in the room as she touched them. She turned her body back and walked over to the desk, placing her hand upon it and frying the security systems.
"Awwie, no one wants to party with me. Pity. Not."
She turned around and left, her hair flicking out behind her as she left the building. Something felt different. Killing those people had been fun. Before, she'd killed when she had to, if she had no choice, but tonight... it felt right.
Gwen unlocked her car and hopped in, then drove quickly to the meeting point, a pier on the boardwalk. She parked and hopped out, grabbing her bag and heading for the end of the pier.
"Miss Raiden?"
"Nope. Mrs Lwellyn. Sorry to disappoint you." Gwen turned around.
"Ah... well, do you have it?"
"Depends, do you have my dosh?"
"Yes."
Gwen took her bag off and was about to hand it to the guy when he ran at her and pushed her off the pier. Her arms shot out instinctively and she grabbed the edge, then swung herself up to find the guy walking away. She extended her arm and shocked him lightly, causing him to fall to the ground.
"Well, well... you know, this isn't the first time someone has tried to screw me over. And you know what? I'm really sick of it. I know, hazard of the biz, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still piss me off." Gwen encased her body in electricity and connected a bolt from him to her, the force of it lifting him off the ground as his body jerked around helplessly.
"It really annoys me, you know why? Because people setting me up usually ends with someone trying to kill me, and well, I kinda like being alive."
She increased the voltage, grinning cruelly.
"You made the biggest mistake not paying me. Oh, speaking of which..."
Gwen drew her power back in, letting the guy fall to the ground with a sickening crack. She smiled and walked over, reaching over to his briefcase and opening it. Ah, dosh. She took it off him, then pressed her hand to his head, and killed him, lifting the briefcase up, and started whistling to herself.
"Hmm," she sighed. She picked up the bag with the scrolls and headed back to her car, tossing the stuff into the backseat. She drove back to her house and got out of the car, locked it and went upstairs, switching the light on and pulling the scrolls from the back, examining them.
Ugh, some ancient language, who cared?
Gwen looked at her clock. Was it too late to call Mordred? Yeah. She went into her bedroom and packed a bag ready for the next day, then stripped off and hopped into her bed. She considered going to find a telepath to block what she'd done that night, but then it occurred to her... she didn't actually care.
