Friday
There she was. The new slayer. The one who didn't believe. Had only just started her training too.
A perfect target, although he would have like to have tracked her down before her training. No matter, his experience should be more than a match.
Friday was on her way home from the local shopping centre. She had bought herself a new computer game and was really looking forward to playing it. Then a figure stepped out in front of her. Friday went to move around but whoever it was just stepped in her way.
"Excuse me," Friday said in annoyance.
"You're not excused."
He swung at her and Friday found herself automatically blocking the blow before she even realised it was coming. But he was quick to compensate, and tripped her up. Friday fell hard on her back.
"Ooof..."
His hands reached for her neck, but Friday lifted her legs together and kicked him in the stomach. Somehow she got back up on her feet before he recovered.
The next few minutes were a whirl of activity, and Friday knew she was losing. Then:
"Day!"
"Susie?"
There was no time for any more words, Susie threw Friday something, which she caught easily. She didn't even seem to register what it was, only turned on her opponant and stabbed him with it.
Then, only dust remained.
Friday panted.
"Susie? What... what..."
"You just killed your first vampire, slayer."
"Huh?"
"You're a vampire slayer. And he was a vampire. 'Was' being the operative word."
"There's not such thing."
"Then how did you just kill one?"
Friday shook her head, feeling a little dazed. Then she realised she was hold a stake.
"What..." she dropped the stake. "N-n-no... this isn't... this is a just... a dream... a result of being around way too many vampire obsessed whackos."
"Friday -"
"No! Just leave me alone!"
Friday snatched up her bags and ran.
