Spike
Spike went down to the rec room and pinned a piece of paper to the notice board. He left again quickly.

AUDITIONS
This Saturday. So you'd better make your minds up quick.
SPIKE.
Bobby and Rebekah
Rebekah walked into the rec room and noticed a new announcement on the notice board. She walked over to it and read it quickly.
A musical?
Cool.
She decided to go audition for the role of Satine, and passed Bobby on her way to find Spike.
"Hey, what's your hurry?" he asked.
"There's a musical, Moulin Rouge... I'm going to ask Spike if I may audition for Satine."
"We're doing Moulin Rouge? Cool! I'm gonna audition too!"
Rebekah giggled. "Who would you play?"
"Um... that owner of the Moulin Rouge. Oh yeah!"
Chatting exictedly, they went to see Spike.
The Mavericks, Displaced and Spike
The Mavericks and members of the Displaced noticed the new notice. They looked it over.
Jonothon shrugged. I'll do music, and I'll dance if they want me. I can't sing on stage.
"If you want to help, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of work to be done," Vortigern said. He trailed his finger along the line of roles. "Think I might go for Christian."
"I like the Duke." Mordred grinned.
"Don't care," Octavian waved his hand dismissively.
"I could do Chocolate," Sergei said thoughtfully. "I'm sure I could catch whoever they have be Satine."
"Hmmm..." Demetria looked it over. "I could do the Green Fairy. Cos, I can fly." They shared a grin.
"I don't care what role I get either," Angelo said, shrugging.
They went to see Spike.
~*~*~*~
Spike looked up from grading the performances that some of the students had done in the Danger Room. He grinned. "Here for audtion music, I take it?"
Bobby and Rebekah
"Yes," Rebekah said quietly. "Um, I'm going to audition for Satine."
"And me for Harold Zidler," Bobby put in.
The Mavericks, Displaced and Spike
I'll do whatever, but I can't sing. Jonothon said bluntly.
"I thought I'd go for Christian," Vortigern said.
"The Duke," Mordred said, grinning.
"Chocolate...reckon I could catch ya," Sergei said, looking at Rebekah.
"Don't care," Octavian said, shrugging.
"Me neither," Anglo said.
"For the Green Fairy...you're going to need someone who can fly. I can do that, and I'm prefectly willing to be in the chorus the rest of the time," Demetria said.
Spike grinned and got out a stack of papers.
"OK...here's the music for Satine." He handed it to Rebekah; Diamonds are a girl's best friend.
"Harry Zidler." Like a Virgin for Bobby.
"Christian..." Your Song for Vortigern.
"The Duke." An audition piece to act out.
"And that annoying Moulin Rouge thing for everyone else..."
Spike handed the copies out.
Rebekah, Bobby and Gwen
Rebekah nodded. "Thanks."
She and Bobby left to go practice, as Gwen came in.
"Hmm, heard there was a musical. Spike, if ya want a hand with something special, like fireworks... of the electric kind, I'm your girl."
She kissed Mordred's cheek. "Hi love."
The Mavericks, Displaced and Spike
"I'm going for the role of the Duke," Mordred said, kissing her back.
"Christian for me," Vortigern said.
"We were going to do some more band practice..." The members of Displaced left.
Demetria smiled. "Come in it too, Gwen!"
"Yeah...you could do the nasty bitchy girl, Nini." Spike grinned. "Not much singing, lotta dancing, lotta acting."
Gwen
Gwen grinned.
"I should be offended that I'm being told to be the bitchy girl... but I'm not. However, acting and Gwen doesn't mix."
She ran her hands lightly over Mordred's shoulders.
"I'd rather just keep certain actor's... spirits... up."
The Mavericks and Spike
"Bad girl," Mordred told her softly, before kissing her.
"Ah well. There'll be plenty of work to do off stage." Spike smiled. "Painting, costumes, lighting, sound..."
"I can do some designs," Vortigern offered.
"That would be great. But what this mainly is for...is to make the school work together." Spike tapped his pen against the desk. "We haven't been doing a lot of that..."
"We need the professor back," Demetria said quietly.
"Well, Logan called, and Scott has so far done nothing...." Spike frowned. "But let's not worry bout that."
Gwen
"It's coz Scott's always got nothing," Gwen said quietly.
She shook her head. "Anyway, I could rustle up some costumes. There's a... if we don't wanna make all of them, there's a costume shop I could steal them from. Borrow. I mean borrow."
The Mavericks and Spike
"Buy or rent," Spike corrected. "Not like this school isn't swimming in cash."
"I'm going to go practice..." Vortigern walked out the door, reading his music.
"I, as well." Demetria smiled, and waved goodbye before she disappeared.
"I think I can onvince the...Amish girls to do some of the sewing. Maybe." Spike frowned. "They might think that it's...too English."
Gwen
Gwen grinned. "Yeah, rent."
She reached for Mordred's hands and lightly ran her fingers over his whip marks from the previous days.
"Anyway, I have an excellent sound system," she mused. "I could probably bring that over. With the help of a certain teleporter."
Mordred and Spike
Mordred hissed slightly, eyes darkening into black almost immediately.
Spike gave them a thoughtful look. Then he grinned. What they got up to in their own bedroom was their own business...
"That would be great, pet. Thanks."
Gwen
"Not a problem."
Gwen grinned at Spike then turned to Mordred, her mouth moving into a cute pout, as her fingers pressed harder against his back.
"Could you give me a hand with that, Wolf, love?"
Mordred and Spike
"Uhhhhh...not a problem."
Mordred didn't move away from the pain, instead he arched his back slightly to move into it.
"At all."
Spike grinned. Never have picked the wolf for a masochist. Probably just an occasional thing.
"Great, great."
Gwen
Gwen raised an eyebrow, an amused smirk on her face.
"I could see what else I have, in way of props and stuff. I've stolen some pretty nifty things in my time."
Her fingers traced the whip marks.
Mordred and Spike
"That would be fantastic, thanks Gwen," Spike said sincerely.
"Guess I'll just have to help you move this stuff too?" Mordred asked in a bit of a growl.
Gwen
"Not a problem."
Gwen kissed Mordred, her tongue playing with his piercing, then pulled away.
"Yep, of course you'll have to help me. After all," she pouted. "You're so much stronger than I am... shall we go now?"
Mordred and Spike
"Yep...I'll practise this, Spike," Mordred said as they moved towards the door.
"Not a problem, Wolf," Spike said cheerfully. He could smell the arousal pouring off the two of them. He winked discretely at Gwen as the two left, then settled back to wait for whoever else decided to come try out.
Shannon, Rogue and Julie
"You going to audition?" Rogue asked Shannon.
"Yes, you wouldn't get none the words right," Shannon replied.
Rogue and Shannon looked at each other. Shannon laughed.
"Blind?"
"No, you blind," Rogue giggled.
"Aren't I going to audition?"
"Not sure. I might. I'm not all that good at singing though."
"You should," Julie piped up, joining them. "I am."
"What part?"
Julie shrugged.
"Makes little difference to me. I'll probably end up with some minor role - these two are going to make it slightly sifficult for me to devote any time to a major one."
"So long as you get to dress like them, it's all cool?" Rogue teased.
Julie grinned back.
"C'mon, lets go see Spike. Coming, Shannon?"
Shannon looked hesitant.
"It'll be fun," Rogue encouraged. "I bet there's something else you could do."
"Okay," Shannona replied with a smile.
The three girls seeked out Spike.
"Hey, Spike," Julie grinned. "Much response on the musical yet?"
Spike
"Hey, pets." Spike grinned. "Yeah, there's been some. Need a few more blokes though, for some of the main roles. So, what parts do ya want to try out for?"
He shuffled papers on his desk.
Rogue, Julie and Shannon
"I'm not fussed," Julie replied.
"Me neither," Rogue replied.
"If there isn't something frontstage," Shannon said, "that you couldn't don't?"
"Translatsion: If there's something backstage that Shannon could do..." Rogue giggled.
Shannon sighed and considered her next words:
"Acting is a bad idea - I'll get all the words wrong for sure."
"Really?" Julie asked. "But you'd be memorising them... you'd have them written down, and if you say the opposite during rehearsals, people would be able to correct you before the big night."
Shannon looked hesitant.
Spike
Spike smiled.
"Well..."
He handed out copies of the Moulin Rouge song to the three of them.
"Ya can always see how ya go. There'll be plenty to do backstage, that's for sure. That's the Chorus try out music, so on Saturday, I'll see what I think you'd be suited for."
He flexed his hands.
"Gonna be fun, pets, gonna be fun."
Rogue, Julie and Shannon
"Okay, great," Julie beamed, accepting the music.
"Thanks," Rogue smiled. "Best get practicing, huh?"
"Yeah... See you later Spike!"
And the three girls left.
Spike
Spike grinned.
He handed out some more try out music to people, but mainly for the Chorus.
Faintly worried he wouldn't have enough people to fulfill the main roles, he chewed his lip, then shrugged.
It'd turn out fine.
