Druella
Druella stood under the streetlight muttering to herself whilst reading the crumpled piece of paper in her hands.
"What on earth is Blakesley on about? He brings me all the way up here to New fucking York, just to be sent home again. I should never have taken on this job. Grrr..." Druella muttered to herself.
As she moved out of the light she wrapped the darkness around her and faded out of sight. Moving quickly and sticking to the shadows she walked to the airport, startling everyong as she appeared out of the shadows.
"Are there any tickets to New Orleans that leave before tomorrow?" Dru asked the lady at the desk
"There is one on the next plane that leaves in 20 minutes. Is that ok with you?" the lady replied with a smile
"Fine with me. How much?"
"$350 economy class."
"Fine." Dru grumbled whilst handing over the cash
"Have a nice day"
Dru rolled her eyes and stalked over to the departure gates.
'I hate planes I hate planes I hate planes' Dru thought to herself as the plane started to lift off the ground. She immediately buried her nose into her book, Agatha Christie's Sparkling Cyanide. She finshed the book just before the plane landed. During the trip she had done her best at ignoring the flight attendants and the fact that she was somewhere in the sky and not on the ground.
It was almost midnight by the time Dru got back to her old neighbourhood. As soon as she stepped out of the streetlight there was a knife at her throat.
"What is a pretty young thing like you doing walking these streets at night?" her assailant growled
"Now I would have thought you of all people would know that Jack." Dru replied
"Ah missy it's good to see your face again. But I thought you was in the big city with a brand new job. Away from us common folk."
"It seems that my quarry has moved a little closer to home. Plus, I just wanted to see my gang again." Dru smiled at her old friend and mentor
"So, who's the poor victim this time?"
"A young male by the name of Sergei Mikhaelovitch Piotr Rasputin"
"Oi that's a mouthful."
"Sure is, but if you have any clues as to his whereabouts, you know where to find me."
"I'll be seeing you then, and I'll tell the boys aswell."
"Thanks Jack."
With that she drew the darkness around her and disappeared into her hideout.
