Isaac
Isaac knocked on Madison's door. He hoped Chrissy didn't answer it. He wondered how she was doing these days, and hope she wasn't giving Madison too much trouble.
Madison
Madison rubbed her head, the scars of the little crown of thorns, still there. She opened the door.
"Oh, hey," she said softly, not sure whether or not to be happy or just cry.
Isaac
"Hey," Isaac said.
He leant over and gave her a kiss.
"Something wrong?"
Madison
"No, it's all good. Come in."
Madison smiled slightly, stepping back to allow him entrance.
"How've you been?"
Isaac
"Good." Isaac asked as he stepped inside. "I wanted to see you again before we left on tour. Maybe go out for dinner... if you'd like. How have you been?"
Madison
"I've been good." Madison smiled. "Liar," she taunted herself.
She forced the thoughts from her mind.
"Yeah, I'd like that."
Isaac
"Great," Isaac smiled back, putting his hand around her waist. "Would... would you like to head off now?"
While he knew that a lot of girls liked time before hand to get changed and whatever, he didn't suggest this. Firstly, he didn't think it was really neccesary. Secondly, sometimes girls hated it when you said stuff like that - even though you were trying to be thoughtful, they'd take it as meaning they didn't look very nice or something. Weird.
Madison
"Yeah, sure. Let me grab my keys."
Madison smiled and gently disentangled herself from Isaac's arm and headed into the bedroom. She looked in the mirror for a second, staring at her scars, then looked at her hands. Oh well. Was going to have to do. She'd have to warn him as well.
She grabbed her keys, jacket, phone and wallet and headed back out to Ike.
"Ok, ready?"
Isaac
"Yep," Isaac replied.
He took her hand and led her outside. He waited for her to lock the door.
"Anything in particular you'd like to eat?"
Madison
Madison locked up and thought for a second.
"Nah, anything, I'm not picky."
Isaac
"Okay, cool," Isaac replied. "I know a nice Chinese place we can go."
He held the car door open for Madison.
Madison
Madison hopped into the car and put her seatbelt on, waiting for Isaac.
"Cool."
Isaac
Isaac got in and drove off. They soon arrived at the restaurant and were shown a table and given menu's.
"What would you like?"
Madison
Madison paused, looking over the menu.
They ordered and a few minutes later, their food had arrived.
"So, what've you been up to lately?"
Isaac
Isaac shrugged.
"Not much. Practing a bit for the tour. Been helping Zac clean up the basement a bit. What about you?"
Madison
"Not much... minor run in with Chrissy... ok, major run in."
Madison fiddled with her food for a bit.
Isaac
Isaac reach over and rubbed her hand.
"I'm sorry," he said quietly. "Did you want to tell me about it?"
Madison
Madison looked up and smiled slightly.
"It's ok... I should probably warn you that... she's slightly... for lack of a better word, insane."
She sighed.
"She's found a way to uh... hurt people, using her power."
Madison lifted her hand and pointed at the faint scars on her forehead.
Isaac
Isaac's eyes widened.
"That's... that's not good..." he said. "Are you okay?"
Madison
Madison shrugged.
"If she'd wanted to kill me, she would've. But, yeah, I'm ok."
Isaac
"That's a relief," Isaac said.
He chewed his lip.
"I'm sorry Mad. I've put you in a horrible position."
Madison
Madison reached over the table and put a hand on his cheek.
"No, Ike, please, don't... this isn't your fault. Chrissy made her choices..."
Isaac
"I still feel like I could have avoided this whole mess," Isaac sighed.
He took her hand and kissed it.
"Let me know if she causes you any more trouble. Heck... if you want you could come on tour with us."
Madison
Madison smiled at him.
"I'll let you know."
She squeezed his hand gently.
"It's not your fault, trust me."
Isaac
"They say you should never trust anyone who says 'trust me'. But I think in your case I'll make an exception," Isaac grinned.
He dug back into his food.
Madison
Madison shook her head, but she was smiling, picking up her fork and eating again. She paused and took a sip of water.
"Well thank you."
Isaac
Isaac smiled.
They chatted some more as they ate.
"How's work?"
Madison
"Hmmm, pretty ok."
Madison shrugged.
"Busy. Faith's taken time off for some reason, and Chrissy's quit, so yeah, just me and Piper at the moment. You excited about the tour?"
Isaac
"What about Paige and Phoebe?" Isaac asked. "Yeah, I'm looking forward to the tour. Always do. It's so great to get to perform."
Madison
"Paige and Phoebe? Work a day in their lives?" Madison looked amused. "Well, I might come and watch another show, then."
Isaac
"Ahh, like that is it?" Isaac grinned. "Fair enough. Well, I hope you do come. I love being with you."
Madison
"Awww, you're a sweet one. I'll have to keep seeing you."
Madison smiled sweetly.
They finished dinner and then left the restaraunt.
"So, where to?"
Isaac
"Well," Isaac said thoughtfully. "We could..."
He was about to suggest the lookout, but remembered taking Chrissy there and suddenly the idea seemed wrong to him.
"We could go... somewhere, umm, scenic... or we could call it a night. What would you like to do?"
Madison
"I'm not fussed."
Madison thought for a minute.
"I guess it depends how soon you wanna get rid of me."
Isaac
"I never want to be rid of you," Isaac replied, touching her face. "Hey, we could always rent out a movie."
Madison
Madison smiled.
"Yeah, sounds good."
Isaac
"OKay," Isaac said.
They went out to the car and drove to the video store, entered and started looking around.
"Anything you wanna watch?"
Madison
"I vote comedy."
Madison headed for the section and started to browse the titles.
Isaac
"You can never go wrong with comedy," Isaac grinned. "Lemme see... Big Fat Liar?"
Madison
"You calling me a liar?" Madison joked. "Yeah, sure. Go for it, Ike, you can do it!"
She paused.
"Ok, now I'm hyper. Thanks."
Isaac
Isaac chuckled, then gave her a kiss.
"You're welcome, Mad," he smiled.
He picked up the movie and headed to the counter to rent it.
Madison
Madison followed Ike from the video store and to the car.
"So, my house, your house? No one's house, and we sit in the car staring at the video box?"
Isaac
Isaac laughed.
"Your house would probably be quieter," he told her. "If there are no objections?"
Madison
"Yep, it's all good."
Madison smiled as they got into the car.
Isaac
So Isaac drove them back to Madison's.
Upon arrival, they headed inside.
"Frankie Muniz... he's done pretty well for himself, huh?" Isaac commented. "Sixteen, practically has his own show and is doing movies. Not bad at all."
Madison
Madison put the movie into the VCR and pressed play, then sat down on the couch with Isaac.
"And you're one to talk about that, hmm? Where were you at sixteen? Oh that's right, MMMBop ring any bells?"
Isaac
Isaac gave her a blank look.
"No..." he said seriously. "Should it?"
Madison
Madison used her telekinesis to make Isaac hit himself in the head.
"No, I don't think it should," she replied innocently.
Isaac
Isaac poked his tongue out at her.
"C'mere you," he said.
He pulled her over next to him and put his arm around her shoulders.
Madison
Madison grinned and rested her head on his shoulder.
She sighed in contentment as the movie started.
Isaac
Isaac smiled. It didn't get much better than this. Watching a movie with the woman you love in your arms. Heck you didn't even need the movie part.
Madison
Madison reached over and entwined her fingers with Ike's. It was nice, very nice. She giggled at one of the funny bits in the movie.
Isaac
Isaac chuckled along with her. He rubbed her shoulder gently.
The movie seemed over all too soon.
Madison
Madison yawned slightly.
"Well, that was... thanks for a good night," she said, turning her face up to look at him.
Isaac
"Yes it was," Isaac agreed.
He kissed her lips gently.
"I should get going."
Madison
Madison kissed him back.
"Yeah, but thank you for coming."
Isaac
"Always," Isaac replied, standing up. "I'll see you again soon."
And Isaac left.
