19 January 2003 - Sidney

Sidney

"Ugh!" Sidney exclaimed slamming the front door of her parent's house. She flipped her long blonde hair over her shoulder and rubbed her lips together. She was sick of all the fighting between her parents and her sister and brother-in-law. "They won't miss me at all." She told her self as she walked down the side walk alone.

Julie

Julie was walking home after doing some grocery shopping. They had only needed a few things so it wasn't like she had to carry a lot. Nonetheless, she never expecting to come around the corner and bang right into someone. The bags jumped up in the air and their contents scattered as Julie hit the dirt.

"Aww man," she complained. "Why can't you look where you're going?"

Sidney

"You're the one who needs to watch where she's going!" Sidney snapped and stated to gather the food and put it back into the bags.

Julie

Julie picked up the scattered groceries, and then grudgingly gave Sidney a smile.

"Thanks for the help," she said.

Sidney

"Don't mention it," Sidney stated with a roll of her eyes. "So is there anything good to do in this town?"

Julie

"Well, there's my boyfriend, if you know what I mean," Julies joked. "But umm, seriously? Not much."

Sidney

Sidney just rolled her eyes. "That's what I was afraid of, why the hell did they have to choose Toysa, Tolsa, Tulsa what ever the hell the name of this town is. I told 'em it should have been New York, but no I'm just the stupid 17 year old who knows nothing."

Julie

"Tulsa. Did you just move here?"

Sidney

"Yes, unfortunately," Sidney sighed. "How long have you lived in this hell hole?"

Julie

Julie raised her eyebrows.

"This 'hell hole' has been my home all my life, thank you very much. And I happen to like it here."

Sidney

"How and why do you like this place if there isn't anything to do?" Sidney asked her and crossed her arms.

Julie

"Well, for starters, my friends live here. And there are the usual kinda of places too, y'know, the cinema, shopping, sporting places, so on and so forth. Okay, well, I guess that kinda means there is stuff to do, but, y'know. Whatever."

Sidney

"That's all nice and everything, but how's the night life, you know the parties, the alcohol and all that stuff?" Sidney asked her. "Cause I cannot live with out a night life."

Julie

Julie chewed her lip.

"I'm ahh, I'm not going to those place any more, but, if you want to go, you might try calling this guy, Tony... ummm... I... do you have a pen? I can give you his number, if you want."

Sidney

"Any more, what happened, did you get caught?" Sidney asked taking the number.

Julie

Julie considered the news she would have to break to her parents that night.

"Uhh, yeah, in a manner of speaking."

Sidney

"Well that sucks for you, my parents don't care," Sidney shrugged. "So since you've lived here your whole life you probably know some hot guys, or some guys that are easy. Got their numbers or their names?"

Julie

"Well, I actually just gave you one of them," she grinned. "Umm, let's see, there's also Peter, Jake, Zac, Bazza, oh, if you meet one of them you'll met all of them, no worries there."

Sidney

"Where can I meet these boys? And are they into girls that drink?" Sidney asked her. "Or are they goody-goodys?"

Julie

"Mmm, some are, some aren't. I believe Tony's holding a party this Saturday. He can give you the details if you call. Just tell him you met me," Julie gave a small smile. "He'll welcome you with open arms, amongst other things."

Sidney

"Thank you," Sidney stated and looked around. "All your groceries are picked up...so later...and remember to watch where you are going." She flipped her blong hair over her shoulder and continued to walk down the street and then stopped. "Do you know how to get back to Elmor Street?"

Julie

Julie pointed.

"Go down this street, take the ummm, fourth left and then your.... second right. Bye."

Sidney

"Thanks," Sidney replied.
