IM - Miette and Isaac
Miette was about to get offline when one of her friends popped up. She clicked his name and sent a IM.
BeamOfLight: Hey sexy
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Hey gorgeous
Miette loved the way they'd just call each other these names. he was the only person she knew who she could call 'sexy' (amongst other things) and get away with it.
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Wassup?
BeamOfLight: Not much
BeamOfLight: You?
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Same old, same old.
BeamOfLight: Well, that's boring isn't it?
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Yep
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: I guess we just have boring
lives.
"I wouldn't quite call my life boring," Miette said to herself. "At least, not in the normal sense."
BeamOfLight: Very boring
BeamOfLight: Maybe we should do something fun
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Yeah?
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Like what?
BeamOfLight: I don't know
BeamOfLight: Maybe start an RPG?
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: RPGs are for people who have
nothing better to do with their lives.
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Oh yeah, that would be us huh?
BeamOfLight: Lol
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: lol
BeamOfLight: How's the band coming?
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Good
BeamOfLight: Done any more gigs lately?
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: No
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: How's college life treating
you?
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Did that guy you were telling
me about ever ask you out?
BeamOfLight: Fine.
BeamOfLight: No, he didn't
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Aww
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Did you do as I suggested?
BeamOfLight: I wouldn't do that if you paid me
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Darn, and I have all this
extra cash...
BeamOfLight: Lol
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: You probably deserve better
than him anyway
BeamOfLight: This isn't about deserving
BeamOfLight: This is about wanting
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Oh well, that's different then
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: You know he doesn't deserve you
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: But you want him anyway
because he is so beneath you
BeamOfLight: Lol
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Do you have a superiority
complex or something?
BeamOfLight: Lol, no
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: I don't either. I'm simply
better than you all.
BeamOfLight: Lol
Miette loved the way he always made her laugh.
"Miette! You've been on the net for hours!" her mother called from downstairs. "Off. Now."
BeamOfLight: Hey, I have to go now.
BeamOfLight: Mum says I've been on too long
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: Oh darn
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: And I had all these other bad
jokes to tell you
BeamOfLight: Lol
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: It's nice to talk to someone
who laughs at my jokes
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: (even if it doesn't say too
much about their sense of humour)
BeamOfLight: Lol
BeamOfLight: Bye sweetheart :)
I have not yet begun to procrastinate: ttyl cutie
Miette logged off.
Meanwhilst, on the otherside of the hemisphere, Isaac was rereading their last words. He loved talking to his English friend, and wondered if her would ever get the nerve to tell her who he really was.
Ashley G
Ashley (G) walked in to see Ike on his laptop with a grin on his face. "Hey tiger, chatting up girls? I thought you had a girlfriend," he grinned, hitting him on the shoulder.
Isaac
"Actually, he's a guy, he's guy and she's a girl," Isaac grinned. "And I wasn't chatting her up at all, we been calling each other stuff like that for years. Heh, I love having multiple convos at once. Hmm, so I didn't know you were planning on coming over today. You won't be able to stay long, I'm afraid. Tay, Zac and I have a dinner meeting with our record company tonight, and we'll have to leave in half an hour."
Ashley G
"Hey that's cool. I just ah... I need your help with something," Ashley pulled up a chair to sit next to him. "You know how I was thinking of proposing to Mindy when you were going to ask Myra? Well, if I do actually go ahead with it... how can I tell her? You know, about you-know-what?"
"About being an alien? Wow, I don't know. I was still trying to figure out how I was going to tell Myra. I mean, if Minsy really loves you, then it shouldn't matter if your an alien, but there's always the chance she'll be mad because you lied to her. Well, okay I doubt you ever outrightly lied about your species, but sometimes people interpret hiding the truth the same as lying," Isaac shrugged. "I decided to tell her and ask her the same day, but I wasn't sure which would come out first."
Ashley G
Ashley sighed, scratching his head. "Maybe I could just meet her somewhere private and tell her before I propose so she knows what she's dealing with. If I ask her and she says 'yes' and THEN I tell her... I don't know, I guess I just don't want to lose her over it. It's not the first time I've wanted to rip my alienness out," he chuckled slightly, "or I could always shape shift right in front of her or something. I really don't know Ike... I'm so lost."
Isaac
"Now there's an idea. You could have her find out by 'accident'," Isaac grinned. "Look, worse case scearios, she freaks out so badly we have to get Avie to erase her memory of that."
Ashley G
"Avie should start making people pay for her to do that, she'd make so much money," Ashley grinned, "a little bird told me she might have done something wrong the other day though. As for Mindy, I think I'll shift discretely or something. Thanks for your input."
Isaac
"Yeah, something did go a little astray the other day. That's how my girlfriend found out about my alienness. It seems Avie can now put minds of dead people into the bodies of living people," then Isaac grinned. "Y'know, same old, same old."
Ashley G
"Anything interesting come out of it?" Ashley asked, glancing at his watch, "I should probably scoot soon, leave you three to deal with the company... life or death." He laughed.
Isaac
"In a manner of speaking," Isaac replied. "I met up with Myra. But anyway. Hope things work out with Mindy. Guess I'll talk to you later."
Ashley
"Myra? Ike..." Ashley cut himself off. He shook his head. "Well, that would have been good. I'll catch up with you in the next few days," he promised, getting up, "hey, and good luck with your new girlfriend." Ashley wiggled his eyebrows as he left the room.
Isaac
"Thanks man, see ya," Isaac replied.
