Chapter 7

Credit to Kristin and Melinda

"Hey Kristin, what's up?" Taylor asked presently.

"Oh, nothing much." She replied nonchalantly. "Umm, me and Tim broke up."

"Really? Oh, I'm sorry." But secretly, Taylor was happy. "How come?"

"We had a stupid fight."

Kristin found herself staring into Taylors' eyes, wondering if she really felt that way about him. Next thing anyone knew, their lips had met. They pulled apart quickly and stared at each other.

"What, what was that?" Kristin asked.

"I don't know." Taylor admitted. "Maybe something we should have done a long time ago."

Kristin smiled and they kissed again.

"Oh my gosh!" a voice squealed from behind them.

"Angel?" Isaac asked. "Janet?"

"Have you met already?" Janet asked.

Ezara suddenly looked alarmed.

"The essence is here." She said. "I can feel it."

Zac gave Janet a brief, suspicious look.

"Where?"

"I'm not sure. But this is not the place for the battle. Not here. Come."

The boys followed Ezara for a while. It seemed aimless. Finally she stopped outside a rather large house.

"Look creepy." Isaac said. "Do we have to go in there?"

"Yes. That is the place to fight. The time is now. There is none more for practice."

"Not that we did much in the first place." Taylor muttered.

"C'mon guys, lets go." Zac decided.

They headed towards the door. Suddenly, Ezara stopped.

"You will have to proceed without me. There is a shield here preventing me from entering."

"Ok. We'll see you later then." Zac answered nervously.

Ezara watched as the boys disappeared through the door. Then she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. She whirled around.

"What are you doing here - it's you! You're the -"

But before she could say another word, Ezara fell to the ground, unconscious.
