Chapter 6

Taylor was only harassed by the voice one more time on the tour. Isaac had been there at the time, so everything worked out.

Meanwhile, Zac had moved on from flirting in the chat room. He had fallen for a girl he had met in an Arthurian style RPG mailing list. He was the Knight, Sir Bright, and she the lovely maiden of the Golden Tower, Lady Aurora.

What had started out as innocent role play led to them meeting outside the list. And they had much in common. In fact, Zac believed he had more in common with Aurora than he had with any of his girlfriends, including Cherry.

The more his friendship with Aurora grew, the more he thought of her. And the less he thought of Cherry.

As Zac was writing a reply to an e-mail he had gotten from her, the phone rang. Zac let Isaac pick it up - it was probably Belinda again anyway.

"Zac? It's for you," Isaac informed him.

"Who is it?" Zac asked.

"Cherry."

"Cherry?" he repeated with a frown. "Who's that?"

Isaac gave him a strange look.

"She's only your girlfriend."

"Oh. Oh! Oh that Cherry!"

"No kidding."

Zac picked up the phone.

"Hi Cherry, how are you?" he greeted.

"Good, how's the tour?"

"Great. We've been having loads of fun."

"When are you coming back?"

"Umm... two weeks I think."

"Oh."

"Oh?" Zac repeated. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing. I just... miss your presence and wish you could come back sooner."

"Oh. Sorry."

"It's ok."

They chatted for a little longer and when Zac hung up he felt a little weird. He felt like there was something Cherry wasn't telling him. And of course, he was a little weirded out that he would forget her name.

He shook his head as if he thought it would shake away his feelings and went back to writing his e-mail to Aurora.
