One day, after her visit, he found himself eyeing kitchen knifes and anything else he might be able to use to end his life. He found himself crying out for Moira. He begged Isaac and Zac never to leave him alone.
And that was why Su visited him while he was in the bathroom.
“Have you no respect for someone’s privacy?” he muttered.
“Umm, nope.”
“Can’t you leave me alone?”
“You know you’re going to kill yourself, Taylor. You know you are.”
“I am not!” even saying those three words was a struggle.
“You’re getting tired Taylor. Why not give up this pointless struggle?”
“Leave. Me. Alone!”
Su laughed heartily. There was a knock on the door.
“Taylor? Are you okay in there?” asked Zac.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” he replied as Su disappeared.
Coming out of the bathroom, Taylor wondered if it would be going to far to ask them to come in with him from now on. He decided that it would be.
**********
That night Isaac was hanging out with Mel. Taylor was asleep. Zac was in the bedroom, and decided that Taylor would be all right for a few minutes while he got a drink from the kitchen.
He was wrong.
Taylor started feeling those hand, invisible hands, touch his body. He jerked awake and called for Zac, who wasn’t there, as we know.
“Go away Su,” he moaned. “Go away.”
“C’mon, you know you want to. You know you want me,” she whispered.
“No, I don’t. No, I don’t!” he cried futilely.
“Don’t deny me. Don’t deny yourself.”
She kissed him furiously. He groaned.
“No, please go. Please,” he begged. “Just leave me alone. Leave me alone!”
Su smiled to herself. She was just about to give him something to kill himself with when a dark portal began whirling in the room. She stared, disbelieving.
“No…” she whispered.
When the vortex was big enough in came a cloaked figure with a scythe in his hand.
“Suicida!” he bellowed. “You miserable excuse for a demon! How dare you!”
“But… but I want him! I must have him!”
“You cannot entice the living to kill themselves. Your very presence here has disturbed things, other than the boy’s life.”
“But he’s mine! He’s mine!”
“He will never be yours,” came another voice.
“You,” Su hissed. “You spoiled everything!”
She lunged towards Moira, claws forming from her fingertips and piercing through her gloves. But she went straight through Moira.
“You can’t touch her either. She’s not of our plane,” the Grim Reaper said.
He grabbed her wrist.
“You’re in big trouble, little girl,” he informed her. “There’s penance to pay for breaking the rules.”
The Grim Reaper pulled Suicida roughly through the vortex, which shrunk and then closed behind them.
Moira turned to Taylor and put her own arms around him. He was shaking terribly, a cold sweat running down his face.
“It’s okay,” she said softly. “I’m here now. It’s all over.”
She kissed his forehead and he broke down in tears in her arms.
