Isaac finished writing his reply and smiled smugly. Oh this was gonna be fun.

"What the -" Laura said to herself. "Oh that's just disgusting."
Laura threw the offending object in the bin.
"Oh Za-ac!" she called.
Laura pretty much had enough of the stupid pranks going around. First the joke gift of the condoms, then the 'strategic placement', and now Isaac claiming to have gotten some girl back from their home town pregnant. She may have believed it herself if Isaac hadn't talked to her about it, asking if she'd like to join in, but she had declined.
"Yeah?" Zac asked.
Laura just pointed to the bin. Zac smiled charmingly at her, and was rewarded with a roll of her eyes.
"Just knock it off."
"Umm, no."
She retrieved her book from her bunk and laid down to read. Then she realised that Zac was studying her carefully.
"Did you want something?" she asked.
"Yeah you." Zac joked. "Just kidding. Umm... has, has Ike said anything to you about umm..."
"Getting that girl prego?"
"Uhh, yeah."
Laura paused. On the one hand, she wanted the pranks to stop. On the other hand she knew Isaac was putting a lot of effort into this one. On the third hand she wanted no part of it. On the fourth hand (What is this? An Octopus?) she'd just found a slimy condom in her bed.
"What about her?"
"Well, do you know if it's true?"
"Give me one good reason why I should tell you either way?"
"Because you're a wonderful, fantastic, kind and loving person."
"If you believe that then you don't know me very well."
