"Do ya think he's happy to be home?" Taylor asked Isaac.
"Who? Zac? Not at all!"
They grinned at each other.
"Mom! Dad! We're home!" Zac yelled. "Mom? Dad? Hello?"
"No one's home," Isaac commented.
"Of course... they would have all gone looking for us... Fred, this is your fault! You got us lost and now we don't have a welcome home committee!"
Fred gave him a weird look, then shrugged.
"Hey, has anyone noticed that... that there aren't any other houses?" Taylor asked tentatively.
They looked, and, by gum, there weren't! In fact, there wasn't a street either. Just their house and their yard and... now that they were looking at it... why, there was all while around what wasn't their house. White fluffy stuff and blue stuff. Even looking the way they had come had turned white and blue.
"Oh my freaking goodness!" Isaac yelped. "We're on a cloud!"
"Ridiculous. We don't live on a cloud," Zac scoffed.
"Well, we do now. Look around you Zac, what else could it -"
"That dang narrator person is screwing us around!"
"Shh!" Taylor hissed, clapping his hand on Zac's mouth. "She might hear you!"
"Yeah," Isaac agreed. "Remember what Captain Hanson said!"
"Ouch!" Taylor yelped, pulling his hand away from Zac's mouth. "You didn't need to bite me, you feral!"
"I hope you've had rabies shots, Tay," Isaac teased.
Taylor shrugged.
"Some may say he has rabies -" Taylor began.
"But I do not agree!" Zac yelled triumphantly.
"And they're probably right," Taylor continued, as if he hadn't been interrupted.
"Hey, Zac, can you possibly turn down the yelling?" Isaac asked.
"You wanna make something of it?"
"Tay, do you think he's mad?"
"Zac's been mad for a long time - oh, you mean as in angry? Oh, well, that too."
"Hardy ha ha. Laugh at my expense all you want. I'd like to know how the heck we're getting back home - to our real home!"
"With great difficulty?" Fred suggested.
They all looked at him.
"Shut up," they said together.
Fred shrugged.
