Chapter 25

"I win again." Taylor smiled.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Deanna replied.

Libby put her book down.

"I'll play you Taylor." She said slyly.

Taylor shrugged.

"Yeah, ok. You don't mind do you Deanna?"

Deanna shook her head.

"No."

"I only play for money." Libby added.

"Well, in that case - no. I don't play that way."

"Baby. What about you Deanna?"

Deanna looked hesitant.

"Oh gee, well, I'm not really that good."

"So? And I'll make it easy for you. The loser pays the winner a hundred bucks."

"Deanna…" Taylor began.

"Ok…" Deanna sounded a little nervous.

A gleeful smile crossed Libby's face. By this time, Zac, Jasmine and Isaac were looking up from their other activities.

The pool balls were set up again. Everyone watched as, yes, Libby won. Deanna still had four balls left on the table.

"Aww man." She complained.

"Sucker." Libby smirked.

"Play again?" Deanna asked. "I've gotta get my money back."

"Sure, but it'll cost ya."

"How much?"

"Say, five hundred bucks to the winner - which of course, will be me."

"Deanna don't be stupid." Taylor said. "I'll give you the hundred bucks you lost."

"Don't listen to that baby." Libby sneered.

Deanna gulped.

"What are ya? Chicken?" Libby taunted.

"No. Ok, I'll play you."

"Deanna!" Taylor exclaimed.
