"Yep." Mackie replied.
"For the next two years..."
"Yep."
Sarah wrapped her arms around him.
"I'm gonna miss you so much!"
"And I'm gonna miss you too. But hey, you can still talk to me on the phone and stuff."
"Yeah, I know, but it's not the same."
Mackie smiled.
"Yeah, you're gonna have Zac to contend with now."
Sarah giggled.
"So, you gonna have a roomie?" she asked.
Mackie shrugged.
"Well, there's room, but I don't really know anyone around here yet."
It was about then that Zoe stalked in.
"C'mon Sarah, we're going now."
"Zoe -" Mackie began.
"No. Don't start. Just consider yourself lucky that Zac agreed to tour with us."
"No, don't you start! I know you were freaking out over the custody issue -"
"I was not freaking out!"
"You so freaking were!"
"Mackie? Zoe?" Sarah spoke up. "Please don't fight."
"We're leaving Sarah." Zoe said, and stalked out.
Sarah and Mackie watched her leave and then Sarah gave her brother another hug.
"I'll talk to you later I guess."
"Yeah. Bye Sarah."
"Bye."
Mackie gave her a wave as Sarah left. Then he looked around at his surroundings.
"Well, Mackie." He said to himself. "Here you are in you're home for the next two years. I wonder what college is going to be like?"
