Her name was Beryl. And Zac admitted everything to her about being a player. About keeping records of all his girlfriends from that time on the computer. About his late wife Cassie. About Kelsey. Everything.
And somehow, even though she was one of the girls he cheated on…
"Well, I know you're just getting over your break up." Beryl said. "But I'd just like to say, that if you ever want to try us again, just let me know."
"You're very forgiving."
"Only because I was cheating on you at the time."
Zac laughed.
"Well, at least we know we deserved it."
"Yeah. We did."
There was a kind of awkward silence.
"Ok."
"Huh?"
"Ok, I'd like to try us again."
"You - you would?"
"Sure."
"Right now?"
"Yep."
"Oh, umm, ok… I didn't expect… so soon…"
"Hello? Zac!" Taylor called.
Zac was pulled out of his memory from a few weeks ago.
"Huh?"
"Zac, this is Lanie McLauglin." Taylor said.
"Oh, oh, hi." Zac said.
The supermodel smiled.
"And Lanie, this is my brother Zac."
They shook hands.
"Hi." She replied.
"You would have met earlier, except a certain person was in the bathroom." Taylor teased.
Zac looked a little embarrassed.
"Yeah, I'm sure she really needed to know that."
Lanie laughed.
"Well, at least it didn't get broadcasted on MTV like when you got drunk that time."
Zac groaned.
