"Yes Jess?"
"I just heard from Isaac."
"Oh? What's new?"
"Babsie had her baby."
"That's new?"
Jess gave him a look.
"Hey, I think it's cute that they like having so many kids. But I sure wouldn't want me to have that many. I don't know how they do it."
Austin smiled.
"So, even though I'm probably gonna forget later, what's the names of these two?"
"She didn't have twins."
"She didn't?"
"Ha ha, she doesn't always have them."
"Yeah, I know there were triplets at one stage…"
"Yeah, and Xavier and, uhh, Tobias? I think it's Tobe, well, they were single births."
"Oh, oh well, whatever. So what is it this time?"
"A single birth actually. A girl. They've named her Mystique Lotus."
"Lotus? Isn't that a flower or something?"
"Yeah, I think so."
"Those two are very… well, I suppose we've all known they're strange for a long time."
"Ahh, let them be creative with names. Unusual names are much easier to remember than the usual ones."
"True, true." Austin stretched. "Ahh, well, off to the studio I go. The shooting for the fourth season of Star Trek starts today."
"Whoo hoo." Jess smiled. "Enjoy yourself."
"Sure will."
Austin picked up his bag and wandered out the front door. Jess smiled and then looked at the paper she had written the name of baby number sixteen.
"Mystique Lotus." She said to herself. "Well, I suppose, even if Mystique is one of the bad guys, not only is she such a cool character, but it's an awesome name."
She paused.
"But that doesn't mean you're not crazy for naming your kid that."
