Jason and Isaac had managed to catch the girl who had shot him. It turned out that she was a jealous fan, and seemed more than willing to give herself in when they caught up with her. She felt too guilty about getting Taylor instead you might suppose.
Rita couldn't bear not being with Taylor. They practically had to drag her from the hospital, force feed her and as for cleaning and changing clothes, well...
She didn't mind being asleep though. Probably because she could see him in her dreams. The thought that he would be seeing her too gave her some comfort.

"Do you have to go?" Isaac asked.
"I told you long before we even arrived I couldn't stay long." Babsie answered.
"Yeah, but the circumstances have changed. Rita needs you right now."
"Don't you think I know that? I do want to stay, and I wish I could leave Mary and Kevin here, but I can't. I have responsibilities back home you know."
"Can't you get out of them?"
Babsie gave him a look.
"Don't you understand plain English? No. I have to get Mary and Kevin back home, and I have my job on Hot Stuff. And that's just the more immediate stuff."
"C'mon Babsie, just a couple more days?"
"What part of 'no' don't you understand? The 'n' part or the 'o' part?"
"Both."
Babsie rolled her eyes, a smiled forming on her face.
"That's the answer I suppose. But you wit isn't going to change anything."
"Babsie, it just a couple more days!"
"And what if Taylor doesn't wake up by then? Are you going to beg me to stay a few more days then too?"
Isaac didn't replied.
"I'm sorry Ike, but I can't."
"You can't or you won't?"
Babsie glared at him furiously. In a swift motion, she had pulled her arm back, then brought it forward, her fist slamming into Isaacs' face. Then, while he was reeling from the shock, she grabbed the collar of his shirt and wrenched him forward to that their noses nearly touched.
"Don't mess with me Hanson." She informed in a voice of controlled fury. "Don't you dare. Don't question me, don't try to manipulate me. You're not making this decision any easier."
On that, she pushed him away with such force, that he hit the wall. Babsie left leaving Isaac staring after her with one hand over his eye.
